Films/movies, TV Shows/TV programs

When I upgraded to OS X Sierra or a related iTunes update, he has changed the user interface and now I have some TV programs instead of TV shows and movies instead of movies. I'm in Australia. Is there a way to change it back?

TIA

I did not pass so I don't know if they changed anything with the version. You can make sure iTunes is localized for your region.  June 2014, no localized iTunes - https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6306009 - language settings

If you use their firewall and the XP firewall at the same time, this could also be a problem.

It is generally not a good idea to use two firewalls at the same time lest they are fighting among themselves.  Choose one or the other to use, but not both.  The XP firewall seems to do a good job.

Is there a way to add parental controls for music/movies/TV shows that have been downloaded if they have the xml file with the sides included?

    Hello

There is nothing in Windows 7 by default, adding parental controls to shows or downloaded movies.

You will need search for 3 third-party software that will do what you want.

  • How can I watch movies and shows with my dishanywhere account?

How can I watch movies and shows with my dishanywhere account? Is required to download the video optimizer dishes online but surface rt will not let me.

    Hi Emily,.

    1. what browser you use to access dishanywhere account?

    2. what exactly happens when you try to watch movies through dishanywhere?

    3. have you successfully registered your account on dishanywhere?

    4. What is the exact error that you receive when you try to install the video optimizer online?

Dishanywhere may require a user to install some software on a computer before using their services on this computer. But in Windows RT, we cannot install anything outside of what is available in store Windows. So, if dishanywhere was indeed need applications must be installed in a computer, we are not able to do in a Windows RT device.

Therefore, I suggest you check with the support of dishanywhere once to see if we need any application to be installed on a computer to use their services.

  • Unspecified error Movie Maker' when the program opens__

I tried to find a simple procedure to solve this problem. It seems to be a very complex problem. I found this as a solution...

"" I had this problem and I just did the debug and found the cause in my case: I changed the folder attributes on my folder for temporary files. "" Film Maker 2.1 checks the attributes at the start and fails if the file is read-only. I guess it will also fail if the folder is missing, but I haven't checked that.

This instance of the problem is easy to fix. Go to a command prompt (start |) Programs | Accessories | Command prompt) and type

    Set

    follow-up of the Enter key

The result usually contains a line like:

    TEMP = C:\DOCUME~1\UserName\LOCALS~1\Temp

Things after the sign = is the path to the temporary file folder. You must change directory to the folder relative to the temporary folder (usually C:\DOCUME~1\UserName\LOCALS~1) by running the command

    CD C:\DOCUME~1\UserName\LOCALS~1

    follow-up of the Enter key

Then verify that the Temp folder exists by using the dir command. If it does not exist, create it using

    MD temp

    follow-up of the Enter key

In my case, the record was there, but the attributes included the indicator of read-only, so I reset the attributes by running the command

    attrib - r + a s h Temp

    follow-up of the Enter key

Start Movie Maker and it works.

Note: you can perform all of the steps above using Windows Explorer, if you do not use the default settings to hide files system etc, but it is easy by using the command prompt.

I can't change the attributes of the mentioned directory.

I'm afraid I might do more bad then good.

The casue of the problem has been properly identified?

Is there a procedure that actually works for my system?

    Hi Starbassfishing,

This problem may occur because of file corruption and why a (sfc scan) System File Checker has been proposed.

After return the result of the sfc scan.

  • Cannot play movies/recorded shows in Windows Media Center on Windows 7

Three years ago I bought a Sony laptop with Vista and an external tuner ATI so that with a CableCARD, I could use Windows Media Center to record shows/movies. I recently bought a new PC with Windows 7 and found that the Windows 7 PC cannot read the 500 films/shows that have been saved and the new Windows 7 recorded shows can be played by the Vista laptop. Is any way to convert or run natively these shows that have been saved under the WMC?

    Hi RalphGreenlee,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

If I understand correctly, you are unable to play back movies recorded in windows media center.

Looks like the file cannot not supported by Media Center or you need a codec to right.
What type of video file format?
Also check the videos if there are other formats to the choice other than the one you have now.

    Method 1:
    Step 1:
Indicate the file types supported by Windows Media Center:
Types of files supported by Windows Media Center:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/file-types-supported-by-Windows-Media-Center
    Step 2:
Try using a good set of codecs and then try to burn video files.

  • iTunes tags/info reset Movies/TV Shows

    Hi people,

I had this problem for awhile now so I don't know what version of iTunes it started happening...

I am currently on version 12.3.2.35 running on a MacBook Pro with OS El Captain 10.11.2

When I rename and change the tags on some videos that I imported into iTunes me (ie. not purchased from the iTunes store) by using the "Get Info" option, for example. Movies and TV shows, the changes will be reflected immediately, and everything seems OK... at first. However, the question is if I go to "Get Info" option once again (for example, to add an illustration or add description) sometimes the tags (only some files) will restore the metadata of origin than the first appeared during the import of the file. In fact I actually don't have to change anything and even if I click Cancel, some tags/information I entered are missing and replaced with the original information (for example, episode name/movie title/Description). Simply reading the file does not appear to affect information/tags as far as I know.

All of the offending files are MP4 containers and compatible with iTunes (because they play fine in Quicktime as well), but it's frustrating when you take the time to enter all the information, then it disappears when you open the "Get Info" option after saving them - I often need to do when creating album covers for a home movie/tv episode after I've already marked in iTunes.

I don't know if this has something to do with the way in which the metadata has been applied/locked to a particular file, but any help or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you, PB

I met this type of metta marking situation from time to time. For me, it comes to unique files that I encoded in another application that I don't normally use any.

  • Computer shows 84 programs running, don't know which can be closed

I have but.dont running 84 programs know which ones to stop.also approximately 20 to start

What I suggest, gives you access to a program that can potentially harm your PC if you are not aware of what you are doing. Don't try if you are not sure that you understand.

Hold the Windows key and press R (Windows key + R)
A 'Run' dialog box should appear. It contains, type "msconfig".
a "System Configuration" window should appear.
Go to the "Startup" tab and you can uncheck programs that you no longer want to start with your PC. Note that this list only shows no essential program for Windows, but other things, such as programs to your printer or other hardware devices, can be listed and necessary. Some examples of programs to uncheck are Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Reader and Acrobat Manager, Google Talk, Google Update, Java (TM), Skype, etc.

Once you have disabled the programs you don't need, you can go to the Services tab.

Note that the tab Services DO list the required programs for Windows to run properly.
You can help avoid this danger by checking the box "hide all Microsoft services".
After having done that, you can uncheck things such as Google Update, NVIDIA, Steam Client Service and much more.

Also note that your Antivirus service is listed, and may also have a program listed as a so startup program. Be careful! And yet once, don't try if you are unsure about this task.

  • move my C: drive program files to my D: drive to free up space on the C: drive.

I'm trying to move some of my files from my C: drive program to my D: drive to free up space on the C: drive. I still want to access via desktop shortcuts to open programs I want to spend. Is there an easy way to do it without uninstall or reinstall each program?

You can not do the way you want.

You will need to delete D: and then extend C: into the now unallocated space where D: is.

You can't take a piece of D: and nail it on C:; you need to remove D:

Save all data on drive D:
