  Please bear with me here that I try to explain all the questions I have with my computer right now. I'll try to explain everything that self-organization as possible, but if you need more information or file papers to provide a solution more precise, do it me know.

  To start, I use a HP Pavilion dv6000 series (dv6748us to be exact) with Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit) installed. (Service pack 2). About 6 months ago I got this laptop from what I believe was the conflicker virus (kept forwarding pages, arrested updates and antivirus programs, etc.) and I managed to get Windows Update works again. My help and Support did not work well, it only worked in Mode without failure, so I did some research and tried a bunch of suggested corrections (update the registry, etc.) and got it work yet once again. I don't know if one of the tools that I used all by setting the Help & Support could have caused problems that I now (as I literally tried everything under the Sun until I got to work), but my Windows Update does not work properly again.

  A few weeks ago, I installed some updates and restarted the computer, but updates did not finish install on reboot. He said the usual "Configuring Updates, do not turn off your computer", but never showed percentage complete or whatever it is.   912812 predates the availability of both IE8 and IE7 so there is no way that IE8 is installed correctly. So if KB912812 was installed on March 13, 2010, the resumption of 'Last good' known Configuration you did (on or just before March 13, 2010) actually had a repair installation.

  Translation: Since (obviously) not uninstall you IE8 before you've done the repair facility, Windows and IE are now in a situation "confusing." This explains why IE8 is not listed in Add/Remove programs and why you are missing so many updates (including security for IE8 was last updated).

  I understand a computer running Windows 10, which had the printer installed using a Setup disk, now knows the pop ups. My best advice would be to uninstall the printer completely from a PC, the HP printer install wizard for Windows instead, to ensure that the most current drivers for Windows 10 are installed.
