• Error messages when the definition to using "filter by attribute.

  I run FM8 on SOLARIS.

  When I activate a new 'filter by attribute' I get the messages:

  Show/hide FM8_SYSTEM_HIDEELEMENT is incompatible

  Show/hide FM8_TRACK_CHANGES_DELETED is incompatible

  Filtering in a separate bookfile works, but the problem appears when I run "update book."

  The book used to have "conditional text".

  FM just trying to tell you that some of your files have different settings for the latter as the other files in the book. The way to get rid of this message is to import Document properties and parameters of conditional text in a file that is well known in the book for all the other files in this book.

• Attribute filter incorrect filter elements

  Hi all

  I had this problem using the attribute filter, and I don't know if it's because I'm using the tool incorrectly or simply a bug in FrameMaker (but I suspect the former).

  Basically, I import an XML document into FM that looks like this:

  < elem2 attr = "true" / >

  < elem3 attr = "false" / >

  < elem4 attr = "true" / >

  < / root >

  And then I use a filter attribute to apply a condition (let's call it "Changed") to all elements which have attr = 'true' by using the expression: (attr = "true")and another condition ("Unchanged") to those with attr = "false" using the expression: (attr = 'false')

  However, the results I get are exactly the opposite! (attr = 'true') applied the condition of "Changed" to all the elements that have the attr = 'false', and (attr = 'false') apply the "Unchanged" status to those with attr = 'true '.

  If someone could get an idea about why this happens, I would be very grateful.

  Carl,

  You're not the only user who find filter by attribute is counterintuitive. The underlying model seems to assume you want to keep the content to an expression and filter the content that does not match. However, the only items that are put to the test to see if they match are those with values, explicit or default, for all attributes mentioned in the expression.

  Thus, it seems that filtered text are made up of elements that have explicit or defaulted, values for all attributes which appear in the applied expression but which do NOT match this expression. Therefore, if you want to apply the condition Changed to items with the value 'true' attr, use the expression NOT(attr="true"). to apply the condition Unchanged, use the expression NOT(attr="false"). To apply one or the other condition to each element that defines this attribute, apply the two expressions.

  If no default value for attr is assigned on the FM band (independently), or expression will apply a condition on an element that does not define the attribute. If there is a default value, the default value will determine how the elements that do not define the attribute are treated.

  If you change the setting of the attribute, reapply the expressions, checking remove it if previously applied box.

• How do you remove the filter by the attributes of the Conrefs, but still conrefs display

  We use the FM8 Tech Comm suite 1 in a Windows XP environment.

  We have created a number of conrefs, and they do not display unless we had a filter by attribute > show all.

  Synopsis of the problem:

  We have created a conref, as we normally do and placed in the same directory as the map and the concept (target). In my case, the conref is a concept that contains a table.  We inserted the conref in the doc of the target and it appears correctly. However, when we save, it does not, unless we select special > filter by attribute > show all. We can save and reopen the doc, and it is still displayed. If she does not have the attribute filter > show all selected, all what we see at the beginning of the document is a marker of conditional text.

  When we created the conref, four attribute expressions are available. We tried to remove all of these expressions of the conref.

  In the target document where the conref is inserted, we choose special > conditional text > show/hide conditional text selected DITA Conref show. The conrefs are then displayed.  However, when we close the document and reopen it, we lost the conrefs, and the DITA Conref is more selected.

  Any ideas?

  Hi Mary...

  Modify application heading (and book) patterns structured and set the condition of DITA Conref to display by default. I don't know why that would have been defined to hide (hmm... maybe you have created your own applications and do not add these conditions?) ... but when you open a file DITA conditional parameters in the template are applied to replace those that the file has been saved with. Here are the typical location of the subject model...

  C:\Program Files\Adobe\\Structure\xml\DITA\app\DITA-Topic-FM\topic.template.fm

• get_view filter property MOR?

  I was told that there could be an option when moving from a MOR views allowing you to filter specific attributes without having to get all MOR, I think it's called a property filter?

  I'm trying to just extract the hostname that is managed by a virtual machine, but I don't want the whole view of the hostSystem MOR

• Return of OUD to ODSEE data migration

  Hi guys,.

  I work with one of my clients on the migration of a bunch of parameters ODSEE of OUD. During deployment, we arrived at the front door running and everything was fine runnign as it should.

  For some unknown reason, however, the ODSEE suddenly began to refuse updates, and we therefore found ourselves in a scenario where the OUD had data more specific that would be rejected by the ODSEE through the gateway of the replication.

  We wanted to reset the ODSEE with the OUD data form, but that there is the ds2oud tool and the export of substances on the side of ODSEE, y at - it an option or a tool for generating a LDIF friendly ODSEE?

  A more information: currently there is no tool to adjust entries OUD reimport them in Department and keep the replication metadata.

  An option would still be to export entries to OUD (export-ldif) and use the-e option to filter the attributes of replication metadata specific oud.

  OUD exposes the entryUUID. Which equals ODSEE nsUniqueId, but the format of the value is slightly different, so the nsUniqueId will need to be adapted with a script.

  I'm trying to filter for alerts from the Virtual Machine to the user interface in the emailFilter.xml.

  Ideally I would like to filter by other measures such as the ready % CPU or the CPU usage or some other metrics, but in the meantime just try to isolate the Virtual Machine.

  To filter the attributes of the two whole VO you must join the your in a select statement

  select m.a, m.a, m.c, c.a, c.b, c.c, c.mfk from m,c where m.a = c.mfk 
  

  Where m is the main table, c is the child table, a - c are attributes and c.mfk is the foreign key in the child table pointing to the master.

  You now have the attributes of mastery and the child that you can filter.

• selection of Images without deletion indicator - LR4

  I'm sure it's a real newbie question, but can someone tell me a quick, easy way to select all my images (unpicked) without indicator and then remove them hard drive into LR4.

  For example, I recently shot over 400 images of sports for a local newspaper, and after you edit and resave JPGs to publicaation, I want to just keep on 30 images in the form of Raw files. These are all the 'picked up' (marked) some of them received color labels.

  I tried selecting them and then invert the selection to display those without indicator for deletion, but it did not work.

  I would be grateful for the easy way to do this please.

  In the library Module - grid Mode go to Edition > select by Pavilion > Unflagged

  or in the library Filter Bar (' \ ') select filter by attribute and select Unflagged (Central selection)

  or in the Filmstrip filter bar, select the filters flag Center

  This should select all the images without indicator based on your selection of folder/Collection to the left.

• Need help with ditaval

  I created a very simple to filter by attribute ditaval file, but it does not work. I probably made a fundamental mistake. Here's what I did:

  1. Created a simple topic DITA (two paragraphs).
  2. Set the 'public' attribute on the two paragraphs. The first is "beginner" and the second is set to 'Advanced', as shown below:

  Note that your organization may or may not use cn or OBJECTSID. Add them to the section attributes above and then do a CFDUMP to see what is happening.

  I have a few attribtues vo which are associated with the list of values the type of default list in the indications of the user interface is text with LOV input.

  When I drag and drop this table on a page, this attribute displays a text box and a magnifying glass in the facet of the attribute filter when I run. In design time, there is no facet of explicit filter on the page not the magnifying glass is not displayed.

  This code works in 11 g in a different way. The facet of the filter attribute only shows a text entry.

  Pointers here? I explicitly put the choicelist in the filter of the table facet? I don't want the LOV entry to appear. It's heavy for the user to filter records with so many clicks.

  I think to explicitly put a text entry in the filter pane and check if it works.

  I have the hierarchy of entities with several parent nodes. Level 0 members are marked with attributes. The requirement is to take a sum of level entities of a particular attribute under a single parent special value 0 and copy the value to another entity to level 0.

  We can easily use @SUM (@ATTRIBUTE (attributename))

  The complication comes to filter the members with a particular attribute in a parent value.

  Alternative hierarchy is not an option in my case.

  Take a look at @INTERSECT - there is an example here that does exactly what you want (members under a particular parent with a specific attribute).
