Filtering on two date range filters

Hi people,

I need your valuable contributions to the solution.

It must filter the analysis by using two date range prompt as shown below.

Of Date1 - Date1

Of Date2 - Date2

Note: We use only a Date column for the whole Date and so far

Requirement:

---------------------

If Date1 and Date 1 is selected, then the first column of the analysis line should display as

COLUMN1

------------------------------------------

Of Date1 - Date1

If both Date1 and Date 2 and Date1 AND Date2 is selected, then the first column of the analysis line should display as

COLUMN1

-------------------------------------------

Of Date1 - Date1

Of Date2 - Date2

I hope I'm clear in the explanation of my requirement.

Thanks to you all.

    Sorry, I'm not sure of that figure.
    If the query I posted is not giving correct results, post some samples (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements are best, but a clause WITH as Tubby displayed is correct) and the correct results, you need these data.

    Please suggest if something needs to be done through pl/sql performance is also the key.

    I don't see how the PL/SQL will help in this problem.

    When two lines need to be combined, the end_date ranked sooner than always exactly 24 hours before the start_date on the line later?
    If so:

    WITH     got_grp         AS

  • SQL to generate the intervals from date of 6 months each, between two date ranges

    Hi all

    I looked in the forums, if someone uses CREATE_CHUNKS_BY_SQL for dates, but no luck.
    I want to update a table using pieces of dates.
    I need to generate date ranges to divide them by pieces.

    I have a table where I know that max (sales_date) and min (sales_date).
    Lets say max (sales_date): min (sales_date) 01/01/2008: 31/10/2010

    I want to break in intervals of 6 months (180 days) as below:
    chunk_id     start_date     end_date
    --------     ----------     --------
      1          01/01/2008     06/30/2008
      2          01/07/2008     12/31/2008
      3          01/01/2009     06/30/2009
      4          01/07/2009     12/31/2009
      5          01/01/2010     06/30/2010
      6          01/07/2010     10/31/2010
    He didn't exactly finish end of the month. Basically, I need these beaches of dates at apart 180 days.

    I appreciate if someone can throw some ideas on this.

    Thank you
    Raj.

    Hi, Raj,

    Sorry, it is unclear what you are asking.

    To generate a list of dates starting with min_sales_date and including all the 180 days after that up to (but not beyond) max_sales_date:

    WITH     got_params     AS
    (
         SELECT     DATE '2008-01-01'     AS min_sales_date
         ,     DATE '2010-10-31'     AS max_sales_date
         FROM     dual
    )
    SELECT     min_sales_date + (180 * (LEVEL - 1))     AS grp_start_date
    FROM     got_params
    CONNECT BY     LEVEL <= CEIL ( ( (max_sales_date - min_sales_date)
                                    + 1
                           )
                         / 180
                         )
    ;

    Output:

    GRP_START_D
    -----------
    01-Jan-2008
    29-Jun-2008
    26-Dec-2008
    24-Jun-2009
    21-Dec-2009
    19-Jun-2010

    December 16, 2010 is 180 days after June 19, 2010, but it is not displayed, because is after max_sales_date, which is 31 October 2010.

    I hope this helps you.

  • Date range prompt--Null default value

    Hello

    It is a follow-up on post Date invites default NULL

    I have a similar case but using database directly request the report and have implemented a variable presentation with two date ranges. I want to leave the default value of the date white values in the dash prompt, but have the ability to enter values in the other guests and ignore the date of the application

    I have 4 variables of presentation being placed in the SQL query, two of which are the date ranges (between)

    I use OBIEE 10.3.1.4, is there a workaround to run the report using the other prompt values and ignoring the date values null?

    Hello

    Keep your 1900 filter in report itself and no default value chosen at the prompt. If this value is not visible in the dashboard and it will fly too when the user selects a value from the command prompt.

  • How to calculate the periods that overlap between two or more given the date range?

    Hi all

    If there are several durations then how we can calculate the period of time that overlap between these times.

    For example: for 3 time periods. 03/12/2015-16/08/2015, 05/01/2015 to 31/07/2015 and the 06/09/2015 to 30/11/2015, how the overlap period can be calculated?

    There are many potential unknowns in your question.  For example, you want to count any overlap at all?  If two dates overlap, what matters?  Overlap - each of them?

    In any case, here is a solution that counts how many periods are overlapping in any point in time...  She, of course, using temporal logic.  You can then use ValueAt(), WhenLast(), WhenNext(), etc. as appropriate.

    Assume that your model has a child entity called 'the period' with name 'all time periods' relationship and basic attributes 'start date of the period of time' and 'date of end of period of time'.

    In your example:

    an entity should have the time period start date = 03/12/2015 and the date of end of period of time = 16/08/2015

    another entity might have the time period start date = 01/05/2015 and the date of end of period of time = 31/07/2015

    another entity might have the time period start date = 06/09/2015 and the date of end of period of time = 30/11/2015

    To find the number of overlapping over time, we want to count or entities that have an active period, so the rule is perhaps the sum:

    the number of overlapping = the number of all the periods for which it is true that the time period is active

    How do we know a time is active?  This is the time logic comes in.  He is active on or after the start date or no later than the end date:

    the time period is active if

    TemporalOnOrAfter (the date of beginning of period of time) and

    TemporalOnOrBefore (date of end of period of time)

    That's all.  Now, you can perform a temporal visualization of the 'number of overlapping' and you'll see it rise and fall over time.  As a reference, he said that the number of overlapping = 3.0 from 06/09/2015 across 31/07/2015.

    I hope this helps.  You can use the same model to count periods of time functions, but you end up having to use the most logical date.  You of course can count the total number of entities and compare this number of overlap over time to see if they overlap, but I digress...

  • How to pass the date range as in URL filter go

    Hello

    I am trying to build a Url go that has two filters, date range & text. I built the url below, but he continues to throw an error. The url is not from the date max and the app starts following error:

    Please suggest.

    Thank you
    Kiran.

    It seems that you convert the data type of char to date in the URL, I don't think that this is possible.
    Your code is like
    & P6 = 2 + Date % 20'2014-08-01'+ day % 20'2014-12-31'

    It suppose to be & P6 = 2 + 2014-08-01 + 2014-12-31

    I suggest doing the formatting for this filed using column properties and try.

    Hope this help, pls mark if yes ;)

  • Date range search

    Hello
    Filtering data for a specific date range does not give the desired result. Currently, the column is a column varchar2.

    Then under query should display the records only 2 for the range of data between 01/01/2013, but his displays all records. Please notify.

    Sample data:

    create table Records_test (B_Recorded_Date VARCHAR2 (4000 BYTE))

    insert into Records_test values('12/04/2013');
    insert into Records_test values('7/25/2000');
    insert into Records_test values('10/30/2003');
    insert into Records_test values('9/5/2006');
    insert into Records_test values('12/5/1994');
    insert into Records_test values('12/19/2013');
    insert into Records_test values('9/4/1992');
    insert into Records_test values('8/7/2007');
    insert into Records_test values('9/28/2005');
    insert into Records_test values('12/10/2004');
    insert into Records_test values('11/28/2011');

    Select * from Records_test
    where
    (
    TO_CHAR (TO_date (substr (B_Recorded_Date, 0, 10), ' MM/DD/YYYY'), ' MM/DD/YYYY') > = to_char (to_date('07/01/2013','MM/DD/YYYY'), ' MM/DD/YYYY')
    and to_char (TO_date (substr (B_Recorded_Date, 0, 10), ' MM/DD/YYYY'), ' MM/DD/YYYY') < to_char (to_date('12/31/2013','MM/DD/YYYY'), ' MM/DD/YYYY')
    )

    04/12/2013
    25/07/2000
    30/10/2003
    05/09/2006
    05/12/1994
    19/12/2013
    04/09/1992
    08/07/2007
    28/09/2005
    10/12/2004
    28/11/2011

    Thank you.

    Hello user7988

    Try this:

    SELECT *.

    OF Records_test

    WHERE

    TO_date (substr (B_Recorded_Date, 0, 10), ' MM/DD/YYYY') > = TO_DATE('07/01/2013','MM/DD/YYYY')

    AND TO_date (substr (B_Recorded_Date, 0, 10), ' MM/DD/YYYY')<>

    ;

    The best way if you set this column as DATE, then there is no need to convert your varchar value date.

  • Calculate the hours between two dates

    Hello

    I have a requirement to count the hours with 2 given timestamps, something like:
    SQL> select ((to_date('22-oct-2012 13:00:00','dd-mon-yyyy hh24:mi:ss') - to_date('20-oct-2012 13:00:00','dd-mon-yyyy hh24:mi:ss'))*24) B from dual ;

             B
    ----------
            48
    However, I wish it would be that simple. I just need to count the hours between two timestamps for the hours of work for example, 08:00 - 17:00, MONDAY to Friday (excluding weekends).
    So lets say I have to count the hours between two dates above the result should be 18 hours not 48 (4 hours on 20/oct, 9 hours on 21/oct to 5 hours 22/oct).
    How can I achieve this? Any idea will be useful.

    Thank you

    My query generates a list of all the hours between the start and end time, filters on the hours that are outside of the hours of work and then account for the remaining lines. Change that to partial hours must just be a case of replace the two occurrences of 1/24 with 24/01/60, then - as say you - Division COUNT (*) by 60.

    There may be performance issues using techniques of generation of line like this, if you put this in a query involving the joining of several lines of other tables (for example where the dates of beginning and end are derived from several employees?) or in several days. If you don't find it then count the number of whole days (taking weekends into account) between dates and work on the partial days after that it could be better. This would probably involve a lot of statements of case (which I don't have time to test it now).

    Can you try to remove the validator and convert date time to the side of the filter and check.
    I had a similar problem with my custom filter and the filter facet did not. I discovered that it was because I had created a property my filter component (selectonechoice) bean binding.
    I used version Jdev 11.1.1.4.

  • How to tell the difference between two dates

    Hello:

    I have a question on how to get the difference in quantities for two dates in the replies and dashboard.

    This is the scenario. I have two guests date and three columns. The first column must be the sum of the amounts for the first quick date. The second column should be the sum of the amounts for the second fast date. And the third column is the difference between the first two columns.

    Basically, I'm trying to do something similar to a function of sum of two lines but trying to get the difference between the two rows. Any help to solve this problem would be appreciated.

    Use the COLUMN FILTERS level...

    the first column with the first variable of date quick presentation of the filter

    Similarly, the second column in the second variable of quick overview of date filter

  • Formula to determine if a specific day of the week between two dates?

    I am creating a spreadsheet to track my time PD & holiday. I usually work weekends, and my vacation allowance includes a specific maximum number of Sundays a year. Is there a way to calculate how much Sunday fall between a date range (or any day of the week, by the way)?

    (i.e. If my vacation starts February 1, 2016 and ends March 2, 2016, Sunday how are included?)

    I know that I can calculate how many weeks have passed, using = Quotient (DateDiff (Start_Date, End_Date), 7), but it is possible to include two Sundays in a period of 7 days.

    Hi Eric,.

    Here is one approach.

    C2 = A2 + (7−WEEKDAY(A2,2))

    This concludes the first Sunday following the start date.

    D2 = STRIPDURATION ((B2−C2) ÷7)

    I formatted this column without decimal places to see full weeks of the first numbers Sunday.

  • To add totals in a certain date range

    I have 3 sheets. Income, expenses and then an annual journal (has twelve columns, one for each month). Is there a way to get the numbers to add totals to a column of the spreadsheet of spending within the date range 01/01/16 and 31/01/16 and put the total in a cell in January on my sheet of each year. I can't understand a formula so that it can find the date range. I get a synyax error message.

    Assumptions:

    Your TABLES (not the leaves) are named income, spending and summary. Here is any other tables in the document with these names.

    Dates of expenditure are in column A of the table expenses. Other than the header line, all the entries in this column are values Date and time that have been entered as dates only.

    The amount for each item of expenditure is in column C of the expense table.

    Line 1 of the analytical table is defined as a header line.

    January is in column A of the summary table.

    Summary::A1 cell contains the date January 1, 2016, but can be formatted to display only the name of the month or the month and year. (but see the note below) *.

    Enter the formula in the cell that will contain total expenditures recorded with dates in January 2016 below:

    = SUMIFS ("Expenses: Expenses, $C: $A," > = "& A1, Expenses: $A," < = "& EOMONTH(A1,0))

    Example: All the amounts of expenditure were reduced to 1.00 simple confirmation of funds.

    * NOTE: The formula has previously worked with the format of the cells in the row 1 Summary defined to show only the month and the year (two digits) of the effective date values (the first day of the month indicated), but the table I built tonight January 1, 2015 to the format to display 16 Jan, one was interpreted as January 16 (2016) , and SUMIFS formula did not include not January 1 to January 14 numbers in January total.

    A custom, displaying the month (short or long) and the year (four digits) or a custom format shows only the name of the month (short or long) gave good results.

    Note that any format under control of the display, the effective date is the first of the month displayed.

    I recommend two different third-party search programs, both free:

    1. search everything, which is faster if you search by file name
    (http://www.voidtools.com/)

    2. agent Ransack, which is the best for finding content, etc.

    ENDFIX

    These scripts only clears on a specific day, but I tried to write the script to clear between two dates, I surfed on a few sites, but no clear answers, finaanly came here, kindly help in this regard.

    Thanks in advance.

    Have you not tried the format of "startdate":"enddate" for example "August":"September."

  • GROUP BY date range to identify duplicates revisited!

    Good afternoon

    It is a continuation of the previous discussion, I previously created GROUP BY date range to identify duplicates

    Your help with the following would be appreciated (examples of data below)

    I've highlighted what I mark as returned to double as below:

    example4.jpg

    Definition of duplicate (However, this is slightly different to the previous post)

    the same account_num

    maximum 20 days apart tran_effective_date

    tran_processed_date maximum 10 days apart

    the same tran_amount

    However, I do not want to return a duplicate if they have both a tran_priced_date filled.

    So, in light of the foregoing, I don't expect the following account_numbers to be marked as duplicate:

    N100283 - one of the records has populated trab_priced_date

    N101640 - none of the records have the tran_priced_date filled

    N102395 - same as N101640

    N102827 - same as N101640

    N108876 - although the two documents have the populated tran_priced_date, the tran_effective_dates are more than 20 days apart.

    BUT for the rest of the accounts, N100284 and N102396 I want to execute the following logic

    Compare the 3rd rank in 4th place and ask the following questions:

    Is tran_effective_date to a maximum of 20 days out?

    Is tran_processed_date maximum 10 days apart?

    If yes then report it as dupe

    Compare line 4 to 5, then ask the same question until you get to the line 4 or 5. When everything is done, I want to examine only the transactions that have the status of normal and if the above question is true for both and then return to my game of result as dupes.

    I hope that makes sense!
