"Find Album Info" script in Windows Media Player 12 error

Hi, a problem with WMP 12. The "Find Album Info" function does not work. All goes well until you click Finish to confirm that you have found the information from the album right when the window comes up saying there is a Script error. Then I can only exit by pressing on cancel without updating music files. This has only started happening recently. I tried unsuccessfully to restore music library. Can anyone help?

Thanks for the answers and information. I found a solution by chance more than anything else. Had tried library of reconstruction, but did not work.

When the "Find Album Info" window is open it is script in the upper left corner:
ISP. Music.metaservices.Microsoft.com

If you point it cursor on that he "Refresh" appears, click the script and it refreshes the window just like clicking Refresh on I.E. This treatment cures the problem, if it doesn't first discount a few time a couple of times and it does not work. In addition, so far, has been recurring problem.

I hope it works for you Widgeon3.

Open the Start Menu, go to all programs - Accessories , right-click on command prompt and select run as administrator . At the command prompt, type the following command:

    sfc/scannow

and press ENTER. Let it run until it ends. If it finds no problems, and if so, is he able to correct? That you still get the error then?

I'm reading a file mpeg and Windows Media Player C00D1199 error.  How to get good download of the missing codec?  I have windows 7 x 64 os.

    All is not lost.

Download and install a pack of codecs, such as K-Lite (Google for it). You can find THAT WMP can then read the file.

    Or
Download and install a small program called Gspot (Google it)! Drag and drop in its window one of the files, you can't plzy. It will tell you which codecs are used. You can then download and install the only after doing a search on the web for it.

  • Windows Media Player C00D11BA error after upgrade (?) to Windows 8.1 8.0 on the urge

    I have one:

HP ENVY 15 notebook PC, nuber of product: C8P47AV

    8.1 pro 64-bit of Windows

    Intel Core i7-4702MQ CPU @ 2.20 GHz

    NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M

    #1 AudioDevice: Intel(r) Audio display

#2 AudioDevice: IDT High Definition Audio CODEC

After I've upgraded to Windows 8.1 and was playback of an MP3 file, I got this Windows error mseesage, "Windows Media Player C00D11BA error" and no sound. Many required devices as their drivers updated and completed.

    Please advise,

    Mike

    Hi Mike,.

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp63501-64000/sp63555.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

Once complete, download and reinstall the Chipset driver from the link below.

    Chipset Driver - Windows 8.1

When you're done, shut down the laptop by holding down the SHIFT key when you click Shutdown to temporrily prevent a hybrid boot.

Only start the laptop and let Windows load completely - it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - restart the computer and try to play the mp3 file.

  • How can TV 31RL938 - I find installation key for PC-Windows Media Player

To watch DVD from PC - Windows Media Center (Windows 8) on my TV (31RL938, without fire related to the internet), I have to do an Extender installation with the Media Center on my PC (the TV symbol is on my PC).

    Have you managed that?

To my knowledge the two devices; your TV and your PC must be connected to the same network: in my case its home WLan.

  • Content of albums and libraries in Windows Media Player is removed

Original title: WMP 11 Trashes my Playlists

How can I keep WMP 11 to screw up my playlists?

Several times I had to re-create all my playlist. After they are created, they work for a while.
Then all to blow/unexpectedly when I open WMP 11 (on w/SP3 XP Pro installed) some of my albums disappeared and registration of the library is ransacked everything (songs missing, missing data, mysterious created albums).

Is it one that once I re-created all my playlists that I can save the file somewhere so when WMP 11 trashes them later, I can just remove the information in WMP 11 and copy the file (s) back to basics to avoid re-creating all my playlists over and over?

    Thank you

    Paul

    Hi Paul,.

    Welcome to the Microsoft community!

The album and lists the library in Windows Media Player are removed.

The problem may occur if the library database is corrupted.

You did changes to the computer before the show?

To overcome the problems which would pose if library database is corrupted, I suggest you follow the mentioned steps:

    Method 1:

    See the site:

You cannot view, add, or delete items in the library of Windows Media Player 11

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/925718

    Method 2:

    See the site:

Solve the problems of Windows Media Player video and other media or library

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/windows_media_player_diagnostic/

If you want to reuse the library list and the album, and then copy the contents of the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player in a different folder, and whenever you want to reuse, just copy in the original folder.

I hope this helps. If the problem persists, or if you have problems of Windows in the future, let us know and we would be happy to help you.
