I don't remember the old data (ports, password, etc.) to re-create the old account to my wife several months ago and with a different ISP - I had written all this down, but it was destroyed in a fire at home - but you put me on the right track.   Sounds like a good plan. Version 31 and above all is a mess right now. I stay at v24.6 until they get the problems developed. Version 24.7 went out before v31, but I've never had one so I don't know anything abut it or what fixed it.

• I can't find my outlook express address book after you migrate successfully from the old computer. The "Address book" tab shows that local address book empty.

  I move from a Windows XP computer to a Windows 7 computer. My old computer has Outlook Express. I've migrated successfully my emails and messages archived in Thunderbird on the new computer. I also migrated the Outlook Express address book using an external hard drive, but I was not able to understand how to find the Outlook Express address book in Thunderbird. The only way that I could find the Outlook Express address book, is to go to 'tools' and 'import' and then import the Outlook Express address book. When I do this, the Outlook Express address book features, duplicate entries (because I imported twice now). When the Outlook Express address book shows, it works without problems and I can use it to send emails. But once I close the Outlook Express address book, I can't find him. Other messages, I see that the "Address book" tab in Thunderbird should open a window containing a list of available on the left side address books. • BlackBerry Smartphones BB 8130 address book and Office Mgr. problems.

  I have a BB 8130 with V. 4.5.0.66 software and use BB Desktop Manager V. 4.6. I have been using this combination for several weeks now.

  A couple of days, I tried to access my address book and all of a sudden it says it's empty. If I try to use Desktop Manager, it never sees the phone even if my computer knows it's there as soon as I plug in the cable.

  If I try to send a text I have to enter the number manually, but as soon as I do and it goes to the screen where I can enter the text, it shows the name of the person that I enter the number.

  If I type a 'B' of the main homepage it evokes all the ads of 'B', and I can dial any number in the list of names and numbers. It's as if the info is there in the address book and yet it still says it's empty when I try to open the address book.

  I pulled the battery 2 times or 3 and nothing changes when it starts up.

  Can someone help me with this problem?

  I have users who manage to get the contacts stored in two databases that are displayed in the desktop in the form of 'AddressBook' Manager and "Address Book - All".  I want to access programtically contacts in two of these databases.

  I seem to be able to access only one of these databases via the Java API.

  Does support the Java API to access the contacts in any of these two contacts databases?

  If not, is there a possible way to access both of these databases other than the Desktop Manager?

  Use the PIM.listPIMLists to get a list of all databases PIM of a given type.  This allows you to access the data in each database.  Note that support for this has been added in BlackBerry device software 4.6.0 version.

  Then open your address book by default to the Group wanted all members of the Group and select copy to Clipboard (Ctrl + A select all, Ctrl + C copy them into the Clipboard).  Then open the "autonomous" WAB file and paste the contacts in that file (you will need to press Enter each entry, but it beats tapping OK), and then copy the wab file to a floppy disk or export it as a CSV file.  Otherwise, folders and groups neither import nor export.

  Hello, I am new to Forum.  I got a Smartphone, a Windows phone, hooked through AT & T Uverse.  I merged ID them Windows Live ID with Outlook and then Outlook Express to check my email from other accounts that were active, and they were all gone, as well as my custom with saved email folders are all gone and my address book is empty - everyone passed.  Can someone help me find what I mentioned, it's gone?  Thank you.  Waiting...  Oh my desktop has Windows XP and my Smartphone is Windows 7.5.  Just thought this might be useful.

  All Outlook contacts are stored in a file with a .wab extension and mails are stored with the extension .pst.

  Filenames usually have your login window. Do a search and find where are the .wab and .pst files, and then you use these files to rstore on your Outlook Express.

• Incoming calls of blackBerry Smartphones do not always correspond to the entries in address book

  My problem is that incoming calls are sometimes phone book entries (on the phone, the SIM card is empty) and sometimes they are not. There is not a particular model that I am able to understand. I tried to wipe out the phone and restore the backup, but the problem persists. Any suggestions?

  Well, not quite. Nothing is blocked or has expired, it's just sometimes it would show all attributes, name and number, and sometimes - just the number. I don't know what it was, but I wiped it, clean and just restored, that the address book with no parameters and it seems to work fine now... (touch wood!) Thanks for the input so!

  My husband has recently uninstalled my Palm software that I had on my desk for years.  He thought he was doing me a favor in cleaning of my icons and deleting some software that I wasn't using.  Unfortunately, ALL of my important addresses were in the address book.  I can't access the information, even if I can find the book file and the address of Palm, but when I try to open the text is not translated (looks like hieroglyphics).  How to restore the address book?
