Find comma in italics followed with regular space

Hi all

y at - it a script (or grep) who can find only commas in italics followed with normal space (or comma and space in italics followed with any regular character) and change all these ordinary commas?

I thank in advance

Hello

try this one (see attached screen) in a single step. If this is too much, I would use a script that looks at each situation based.

  • InDesign CC Grep find/replace to replace the character of space per paragraph (fly)

    Hello InDesigners,

    I'm trying to clean up a 99 page document. In the file, titles of chapters, in capital letters, followed by a space, which is then followed with text more uppercase there. This always occurs at the beginning of a paragraph.

    I'm trying to target the space character that appears just after the number of chapter and Exchange to a number (fly).

    For example:

    CHAPTER 22 SUNDAY UNDERGROUND

    I want the Grep to change this as follows:

    CHAPTER 22

    SUNDAY UNDERGROUND

    I know that to do this job, I need to use positive look behind and positive Look Ahead, at first, I just tried to isolate CHAPTER 22 using the following:

    ^ \u{2,}\s\d+

    It worked. However, as soon as I cut and paste into P.L.B., find/replace says that it does not match.

    (?<=^\u{2,}\s\d+)\s

    The culprit seems to be the comma that comes just after the number 2. If I take, I get a match, but just not the one I wanted.

    Why P.L.B. does not accept the comma as part of the range in my definition grep?

    (FYI, I prefer to use wildcards with a specified scope, rather than literal text).

    It is indeed the comma, and the reason why it does not work because the flavor of InDesign's GREP does not allow a variable length argument in its lookbehinds. And the construction "has {x, y}" indicates a variable length.

    "Chapter" only you know how many characters to uppercase, and even the exact text, you can use

    (?<=^CHAPTER>

    the first chapters to a number, then

    (?<=^CHAPTER>

    for the rest. In your version of InDesign, I guess there is also a possible solution with the fairly new \K "forget - me" operator but I have not yet enough experience with that. It should look like this:

    ^ \u{2,}\s\d+\K\s

    but you will have to experiment a bit to see how to work with the replacement string.

    In addition, you should only use the name of "fly" for a character that looks like this: "¶". The code that you insert will call it a 'return' or 'paragraph return. Initially, I took your question literally, and it sounded as if you were after this result: "CHAPTER 22 ¶ SUNDAY UNDERGROUND"

    Because regexp_like(str,'[^1]') means: search str who have at least one character that is not 1.
    When regexp_like(str,'^[^1]*$') means: search str done characters that are not 1 start (^) at the end ($)

  • synchronize music iTunes to fill automatic iPhone memory with little space left.

    I have about 10 GB left in my iPhone, and I want to sync music from iTunes Mac (which occupies about 15 GB) with little space left in my camera for other applications (for example, 5 GB).

    Find where I can tell iTunes to sync only 5 GB of data, something like leave "x" GB in iPhone device.

    I have sync selected playlists and automatically fill free space.

    iTunes version: 12.3.2.35

    iPhone OS: 9.2

    Hello Friendtam1,

    I understand that you are wanting to fill your iPhone with music, but always leave space. Back on what are your options for this.

    All having an option to auto-fill for your iPhone is not available, you have the option to manually manage music. This means that you can drag and drop the music you want on your iPhone. With this option, you will see the use to change and can stop it when you feel you have enough storage to the left. Take a look at the article below for more details.

  • problem with storage space - iPhone 4 - 32 GB

    Hello, I have an iphone 4 32 gb. I'm having a problem with storage space. A few days ago, that even though I was taking 5 GB of empty space, a notification appeared that storage is almost full. I deleted about 2 GB of photos and videos. He showed me 2 GB of free space, but after 1 hour again the same notification appeared. As soon as I have emptied my space with about 1 to 2 GB by deleting photos or videos, it is completed with other data.

    How should I solve this problem?

    Thank you.

    What is the exact wording of the message? Could he be referring to iCloud storage?

  • Installer of Lexmark printer drivers saved in a folder "c:\Program Files \" (with a space at the end of this one!)

    I have a real problem.

    On my Windows 7 Professional machine somehow is an automatic update of installed Lexmark printer drivers and the installation program saved files
    in a folder names "c:\Program Files \" (with a space at the end of this one!)

    This all happened the day after without seeing me what was going on.

    It seems that the Windows 7 system does not like the folder or file names ending in a 'space' or a 'period' and it will not work with it.

    The side effect is that in some sort the system has copied EACH name on this new folder called sub0folder "C:\Program Files-" and I ended up with TWO files that have the air of the same name (even if we have a space at the edn of it ".

    It isn't really a problem in what I could simply ignore it (the other folder names corrrectly operates always OK). The only problem is that changes to 'Security' affect the TWO files because Windows 7 sees the two folder as the 'same' names when setting security.

    That's why, when I tried to mark the 'bogus' as 'not available' folder to everyone (including the system) it is the same for 'Program Files' (the real one) with disastrous consequences. I had the chance to get out and restore some semb; launched sound mind to my machine.

    But I'm stuck now with this annoying issue with many sub-fdolers (which are all unaccessable because the system cannot locate).

    My question is, how to remove a file that has a 'space' as the last part of his name when Windows Explorer cannot work with it?

    Thanks a lot with no matter what helpf with this very unusual problem.

    If you have the opportunity to make a complete picture of the system of the disc, I would before you try the following... just in case remove the "bad" folder ends up deleting all good also.  Alternatively, rather than remove the directory in the last step below, rename it using a command like

    ren c:\PROGRA~3 c:\badprogs {press Enter}

    If program of the 'real' the files and other directories survive unscathed, and then delete the C:\badprogs in the usual way.

    ******************************************

    In the search box, type cmd, then right click on cmd.exe and select "Run as Administrator".  Give the password when you are prompted.

    Type

    CD c:\  {Press Enter}

    to switch to the root

    Now type

    dir /x {press Enter}

    This will show you a list of directories of names "short form".  You will probably see something like this (from a x 64 Win 7 installation, is why there "Progra ~ 1" and "Progra ~ 2" directories ")

    Directory of c:\

    01/08/2012 13:19

    PROGRA ~ 1 Program Files
    30/07/2012 13:03 PROGRA ~ 2 Program Files (x 86)
    03/07/2012 10:46 users
    30/07/2012 20:16 Windows

    In your case, your directory parasite called or PROGRA ~ 3 (if you have x 64) or PROGRA ~ 2 (if you have Windows 7 32 bit).

    Now that you know the name short, which allows to delete:

    del C:\progra~3 {press Enter}

  • DB_CONFIG documentation says that the lines with white spaces are ignored

    Berkeley DB is used for a long time and just noticed something when I was reading the docs for the latest version (Berkeley DB 12 c Release 1, version of the 12.1.6.1.26 library: (June 16, 2015)). The documentation for DB_CONFIG (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17076_04/html/programmer_reference/env_db_config.html) contains the following sentence: all empty lines or lines whose first character is a space or hash character (#) is ignored.

    This is false. The lines that begin with white space are not ignored. All leading white space are skipped until the line is checked to see if it is empty or the first character of the other is a hash character.

    I went back and checked a few old versions of Berkeley DB. Docs and code reading DB_CONFIG did did not match for a very long time. Did not come back through all the old versions of Berkeley DB to see if they have ever matched.

    We checked this and found that leading whitespace is ignored.   We will update docs accordingly.    Thank you for this comment.

    I don't want to use a para style X without changing it (so it remains totally pure: not ' X + ') with different spaces before. And I don't want to change the space quickly and easily with a keyboard shortcut.

    Excellent!

    With you idea and using several NJ, proceed as follows:

    I associate a keyboard shortcut for "NJ". So I put the insertion point to the beginning of the first line and play the shortcut!

    Very well! Thank you!

  • Need help with regular expressions

    Hi all

    I need your help, because I have no ideas more...

    I have the following problem: in the column of the database table, I have the string with the names of files already uploaded to the database. For example: + File1_V01.txt +, + File1_v02.txt +, + File1_01_v01.txt +, etc. The string _vxx * + or _Vxx * + (non-case sensitive) represents the version of the file.

    Now the problem: I'll upload the file with the name + File1_v02.txt + (already exists in the table).
    If the file name already exists in the table the pl/sql function should get the name of the file with the following version number. In my case it takes + File1_v03.txt +.

    Is it possible to do this using SELECT with regular expressions?

    Could someone explain why the the SELECT/UPDATE/DELETE on MLOG$ _ACTION if 'expensive' when it should be only 2 rows (the old value and the new value) in this newspaper after an update? I could do to improve the performance of the update?

    Let me know if you need more info... would be happy to provide.

    My guess would be that you were once a very large transaction that inserted a large number of rows in this table. So the table segment is big enough now and the high watermark is average at the end of this segment, causing a full scan table to analyze a large number of empty blocks and retrieve the two lines.

    You can issue a truncation on this table of $ MLOG: which would free up the empty blocks and brings back the high-watermark in the first block.

  • Is there a way to find the IP address associated with a device that is currently using my Apple ID?

    Hi, is it possible to find the IP address associated with a device that is currently using my Apple ID? There is a device currently using my Apple ID, and I would like to know its IP address. When I connect to appleid.com, the device is listed. The device is an iPhone. It is an emergency situation. Thank you.

    Unless it's on your local network, the IP address won't be useful to you in any way. (and no, you can do that)

    If this is really an "emergency", inform the authorities.

    Original title: MRT. EXE files are all over my computer.

    I find these records long name with 20 or more charactors and inside them is nothing else than "mrt.exe" file. I find them in random places on my drive c: and many of them on my external G drive in the root. A new appears approximately every three months.

    I know the mrt.exe is supposed to have something to do with the malicious software removal tool, so I don't want to just delete them and have a problem.
