Find compatible 16 GB of RAM

I have an early-2009 17 "Macbook Pro, (A1297 MB604LL/A/Model). It has a processor clocked at 2.93 GHz and Intel core duo, 8 GB memory, 1067 MHz DDR3. I work with some very large Photoshop files. This often results from not enough RAM error messages when I try to save my work. Apple recommends 8 GB total RAM for my model, I read people to the 8 GB of RAM in each of the two slots for 16 GB of total RAM. Problem is that I can't find a compatibility table for a 16 GB kit that lists my model. How can I determine what RAM Kit buy?

The 2009 MBP accepts up to 8 GB of RAM with the following characteristics: 204-pin DDR3 SO-DIMM PC3-8500 (1066 MHz).  The best sources of RAM compatible Macs are OWC and Crucial.

The Mbps only which will take place probably with 16 GB of RAM are the 2010 MBP 13 "and all models 2011 and 2012.

If anyone has installed 16 GB of RAM in a 2009 MBP, I have no idea how it will be, or work.  Professional manufacturers of RAM not him did not and I think that if it were possible, they would be selling 16 GB kits because it would be in their interest to do so.

I see your choice using your MBP with 8 GB of RAM or get a newer version that will accept 16 GB of RAM.

Another option is to install an SSD that alleviates the need a lot of RAM.

Ciao.

  • Having trouble finding compatible RAM

It's embarrassing when you say "everywhere where I went, told me that these sticks must be compatible with my system". If you ordered a site that was generic or specific.

I use a very simple freeware application called DiscInfo http://discinfo.rpc1.org/ of

    Hi Chad,

Upgrade to the latest version of creative cloud for first and get the attached error every time I try and run it.

I'm sorry that you're having these questions.

  • trying to find compatible 1 TB external hard drive 2 TB capatible for backup of Lenovo T510

I'm trying to understand what high speed 1 or 2 TB capatible external hard drive that I could buy - and if I can 'use' a USB 3 or if I'm stuck with USB 2.  Have you looked at LaCie and Verbatim discs... suggestions appreciated... I do not know what a PCIE card, etc. is...

The Rosewill and others like it, are empty envelopes.  You install a HD 3.5 "SATA inside.  There are other - smaller - units that can use a 2.5 drive "a laptop.  These enclosures support different ways to connect to a laptop (or desktop): USB 2, 3 USB, eSATA, depending on the chosen box.  The boxes for disks 3.5 "have generally also a brick or"wall-wart"power supply.  2.5 boxes "sometimes do and sometimes are powered via the USB port.

There are also many complete devices that provide an enclosure with a drive that is already installed.  They tend to be "prettier" and well integrated.  Also usually more expensive than a speaker + HD purchased separately (this varies) and in my experience, tend to run hot.

You may prefer the comfort of a one-piece integrated solution, but I like the flexibility of an envelope + HD with my choice.

[edit] The units come often (always?) with the included HD already formatted.  A speaker + HD provided by the user will require drive initializing and formatting.  A blank disc will at times be initialized in victory disk management by using the USB connection, before we see via the eSATA connection.  I don't know if it's a quirk of my speakers, readers, or Windows.  Just a heads-up.

  • Satellite L850 - exchange of RAM and valid warranty

As the title I want to know I will lose my warranty if I change ram by myself?

I have Satellite L850-1V8 (I can't find it on the site official Toshiba but anyway no is PSKDNE) and if you can tell me who can RAM I put?

    Hello

I found some info base for your laptop model. According to specification for laptop, that your machine can be upgraded up to 16 GB and you can use memory modules live 4 X 8 GB max.
    Rams compatible are:
    2 GB DDR3-1333-PA3918U-1M2G
    4 GB DDR3-1333-PA3918U-1M4G
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find compatible 8 GB of RAM, even on the support page of Kingston. But I think that the info you can get from the Toshiba service provider in your country.

Return to the upgrade of RAM. I guess that your laptop has 4 locations of memory. Two of them are placed at the bottom of your machine under guise of memory. You can upgrade memory on these two locations without losing the warranty. How this is also described in paper manuals s user on page 70.
For example, you can put 4 GB modules there are two.

Other two RAM slots are probably under the keyboard and RAM should be exchanged or maintained by authorized personnel only.

  • Where can I find a compatible RAM upgrade for a Satellite 1130-Z25?

My Satellite 1130-Z25 runs very slowly and I'm looking to boost performance. I want to upgrade the RAM - this model will support supposed to be an upgrade to 1024 MB of RAM. Where can I find a compatible product? (the function "show compatibility" does not appear on this site when it is used, and I can't find the relevant info on what I currently have in my laptop outside the standard "256 MB of RAM DDR", displayed under system information.

I recommend to check this site of memory for laptop:

    [Memory for Toshiba Satellite 1130-Z25 | http://www.orcalogic.co.uk/asp/prodtype.asp?prodtype=7222&ft=m&st=3]

You will find compatible modules for notebook you.
About the info on the page, you must use the 200 pin PC2100 (266 MHz) DDR SODIMM

I think this should be enough to help find good modules ;)
