My husband was working on a lot along the road and found an IPad and to be on the road there were only a few cracks on the protective cover, either way he will take it in the schedule to the police. They will be able to find an owner recorded by Apple with the serial number. Just curious as to what happens for her if she is not never claimed? Just curious, we have our own so...
If the owner find my iPad active he or she should be able to trace its current location and report it as lost or stolen. I don't know what will do your local police with unclaimed goods. Ask them if you're curious.

My ipad was stolen and does not activate my find my ipad... help
Hello, please my ipad was stolen two days ago, unfortunately for me, I did not activate my find my ipad. Please, can he still follow? I have all the details of the ipad help!
Hi imeyoya
I'm sorry to hear that your iPad was stolen.
Unfortunately, without finding my iPad is enabled on the device, there is not that you can do to recover or protect the data on it, but you can protect your account. I hope that you had a defined password.
If you do not enable find my iPhone before your device has been lost or stolen, you can not use it to locate your device. However, you can use the following steps to help protect your data:
- Change your password on Apple ID. By changing your Apple ID password, you can prevent anyone to access your iCloud data or using other services (such as iMessage or iTunes) from your missing device.
- Change the passwords of other internet accounts on your device. This might include email, Facebook, or Twitter accounts.
- Report your lost or stolen to the local police unit. Law enforcement could ask the serial number of your device. Find the serial number of your device.
- Report your lost device to your mobile phone service provider. Your carrier can deactivate the account, preventing the use of data, texts and phone calls.
Find my iPhone is the only way that you can follow or locate a lost device or missing. If find my iPhone is not activated on your device until missing, there is no other service from Apple that can find, follow or flag, otherwise your device for you.

My iPad has taken yesterday after they took out of my windows. I find my iPad application active location. Tried to use but his Word cannot locate BC its been turned off. They stole it and what will do now? Try to negotiate? This pawn? They will not be able to activate it BC I reported it as stolen. I have not deleted the data again? How can I find my iPad?
You can't as long as it is powered off. It is useless to everyone, but still pretty easy to sell on eBay or craigslist to dimwits looking for a cheep iPad;

I thought I would try the "Find my iPad" feature on and noticed the location who gave is nowhere near here where I live, the "place" was a few roads away. Is it the highest level of accuracy can I expect from the function "Find my iPad", or is it possible to improve it?
Thank you
If it's only one wifi this is only an approximate location based on the database of address of router wifi Apple maintains. Depending on where you are and what are the wifi nodes in the database within the range, it can vary from quite accurate for quite inaccurate.

I thought of what a combined low cost can be found in a House, I would like to find iPad should I have left the room lying around.
Find my iPad is used to locate the device and also initiates the Activation lock. All find my iPad isn't really designed for the express purpose of locating stolen devices, it can, if the thief left the power on and with an active internet connection. With a Wi - Fi only iPad, which can be difficult. Remember however, that find my iPad must be activated before losing the device to be effective.

find my ipad while it is offline
I lost my iPad mini 2 today. I used the "Find my iPhone" app an hour later because I lost it, and he said: my iPad has been disconnected.
Because the battery was greater than 90% when I got it, this of course means that it is not connected to the wifi at the moment.
I had never locked my iPad so I had to block it with find my iPhone app so that people cannot access my information on the ipad. The only way to lock the ipad was to activate the "mode of lost, I did.
He said when the iPad is connected to wifi, it will be transformed into line so I can see the location of my iPad.
So now I wonder if my iPad is blocked at the moment. I mean works 'light lost mode"when the device is in offline mode?
Furthermore, I don't think it can ever be connected to wifi as it is locked (if lost mode does not work). Is it possible to connect to the wifi and enter a password of the wifi when device is locked?
If it is offline, there is no way to locate him.
To locate a product on the internet, it must be online.
If it is in offline mode and put you in lost mode that will set a flag so that the next time it is online it will be locked.
N ° you must first unlock.

Impossible to find dedicated iPad phone number
Hello
My iPad (1 Air) has a SIM in there, but I can't seem to find any phone number. I have the latest version of iOS. The problem seems to be that the device is connected to my iPhone 6s and they share the same Apple ID. When I look at my card in contacts (completely at the top) it shows my details including my phone number iPhone.
Y at - it otherwise (easy) to find iPad SIM dedicated number that provides 4G of the iPad?
Kind regards
Desmine Dekker
The number associated with the iPad and cell phones is just an account number to the cellular provider to use to charge you. This number is not used for anything else, such as iMessages or SMS. What exactly you are trying to do, so it can be treated better?

I have an iPad 2 air 128 GB 9.3.1 running. Previously, I was able to sync the movies/photos/content etc, first with a cable and wireless. All of a sudden the two types of synchronization has stopped working. Connect the PC USB port recognizes and I am able to post pics, but iTunes can't find the iPad. The iPad says that it syncs with my computer when the PC is available.
I, 1) rebooted both PCs and iPad, 2) uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, 3) reset iPad and restored with iCloud multiple backup used cables of several USB ports it does not solve the problem. I plug the iPad, he asks if I leave the PC see the photos, I agree/disagree...doesn't question... iTunes can't find the iPad.
iTunes will, however, find my iPhone using wifi synchronization or cable.

If your iOS device does not appear in iTunes, try the following:

To step 3 above, open the Device Manager. Expand one of the articles that are listed.

Plug in the appliance. You should hear the telltale Windows sound device connection and a Division must acquire a new entry. This should be your device. It cannot be labelled properly at this point. If you do not hear a suspicious noise cable damaged.
Or try If iTunes does not your iPad, iPhone or iPod - Apple Support
If not try a complete tear down and rebuild iTunes in accordance with the resolution of the problems with iTunes for Windows updates.
Or try to go back to the last version of iTunes that has worked for you. See the programs installation of iTunes to download links. If you roll back to 12.3.3.17 to 12.3.2.35, for example, then you will also need restore the database in the manner described in the empty/corrupted after upgrade/crash iTunes library. The tip makes suggestions to reintroduce recent purchases, so at worst, you lose a few meters or a newly created playlist.

Two of my iPads suddenly started poster "do not load" in the upper right corner recently. A mini iPad 2 that was barely 1 month began to do this two days after hanging to a charger for the afternoon, and just tonight, I opened my iPad Air until you find that is now doing the same thing.
Both of the iPads are plugged to wall Chargers using the charger and the cable supplied with the iPad. We have several devices Apple here in the House, so I made sure that the iPad 12W charger is used. I also tried to hang the iPads up to different Chargers with the same result. Other iPad and iPhone load fine on all our Chargers.
I tried to do a full reset on the iPad mini and has no effect. At the end of the day, I went back to Costco, thinking it was defective, only to now find my iPad Air which I had for about a year is the same thing. This cannot be a coincidence.
We had no problem with these iPads until the upgrade to iOS 10. I upgraded the iPad iOS 10 mini and the problem started occurring about a day later. My iPad that air has fonctionnee iOS 10 for almost 2 weeks now, I think, and it just started tonight.
There seems to be a problem with iOS10. Just going by the threads on this forum, Apple seems to have changed the minimum acceptable input power.
It doesn't seem to be much users can do but wait for a fix.
Even though it says not charging, let it set out with the screen and see if it is supported.

Hi RubyBlu,
I see you're posting here because your iPad mini Apple Support communities is having problems to connect to your home Wi - Fi network. You talked about since someone at the Apple Store that you said to try to restore your device using iTunes, but you can't not to disable find my iPad to be able to do. I know it's important to be able to connect to the Wi - Fi at home, and I'm happy to help with this.
As a first step, I recommend take a look on this website and perform these steps in the order, if you have not tried them already:
