Firefox 10.0 for Ubuntu 10.04 is not restore tabs

Firefox 10.0 for Ubuntu 10.04 with all of the latest updates and security patches don't restore the tabs when restarting, it used to until the last update. What is wrong?

"Warn me when closing multiple tabs" gives you a warning when you close a window (which contains several tabs) by clicking on the 'X' of a window cross button. It does not show this warning when you close Firefox by clicking on Firefox-> Quit/Exit or by simply stopping your system. It's the default behavior in versions of Firefox 4 +.

If you want the old behavior of Firefox 3 to save the tabs before closing Firefox, do the suggestions mentioned by dankyhelpedyou in his first answer in the following thread:

Check and tell if its working.

  • Firefox session restore does not restore tabs due to an open at the last window closes

I accidentally closed Firefox without closing a window that spawned when I am logged into an e-mail client, and by train to charge to the top of Firefox just brings me to this particular window. I opened sessionstore.bak to have a peek and saw that all of my old tabs were still there, but I can't understand for the life of me what lines I need to remove it to get my tabs old back (I had about 20-30 open).

I saved the .bak and tinkered around with it, but the best I could get Firefox loads up on my homepage instead of my old tabs. I would be grateful for any suggestion, I have spent the last hour trying to Google a solution or blunder through it myself.

  • Firefox 15 not restore tabs.

In short, Firefox 15 not restore my last session. I put it in my options to restore the last session, but this is not the case. Before the update, it worked, and now it does not work on both of my computers.

Found out the real reason why it didn't work: the add-on Super tab Mode caused pages to not load.

  • After update of firefox-testing repo for ubuntu lucid, the new 10 firefox always crashes when I open it.

This behavior is also indicated in safe mode,
    Tried the following things: -.
    1. re-install.
    2. withdrawal of profile for any other position.
    Now the error is as
"Firefox is already running but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system. »
Rebooted but the same message is displayed again.

Problem solved. I removed the repo steady mozillateam from my list of sources. Then deleted firefox using "apt - get remove firefox" and then installed firefox after a reboot. Also removed ".mozilla" folder in my home directory, which was probably the root of this problem. Now replaced my previous profile FF 10 woking great.

  • Cannot download files because Firefox keeps asking for consent and there is not a button ALLOW anywhere

Whenever I try to download a 'broad' file Firefox continues to ask me:

Firefox needs your consent to download large files.
Please, click ALLOW to continue with your transfer.

If you do not see the application, please click on the icon next to the address bar.

I didn't have this kind of problems before up to that new version, I'm so frustrated that I think really switch to Chrome instead.

And in case anyone is wondering, there isn't an icon request at ALL.

(((2) if I go into my profile, there is no backups since 21 March (when I upgraded) and if I try to restore my favorites from backups in my profile, nothing happens (although if I look the .json file in textedit, they are clearly there) 3) when I start typing an address, Firefox gives me is more a suggestion of my story 4) (and possibly without) if I browse a site , via a link, I often can't navigate back (the grey towers left arrow). In other words, Firefox loses the story.

This may be due to a problem with the places.sqlite file that stores the bookmarks and history.

After upgrading to Firefox 12.0 on Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS, the viewing of videos, such as Youtube has stopped working. By clicking on the "Install Plugin" offered instead, gives the answer "no appropriate plugin was found." By clicking on the "read more...". Manual plugin install"link collects only the answer"we're sorry, but we are unable to find what you are looking for dedicated", of Mozilla.org.

There is a simple work around this failure to upgrade?
(Or at least some information about the question to know if a plugin for Linux is available somewhere?)

You need Flash to play videos on youtube. See the following articles:

For more information on the Firefox plugins, see this article-> use plugins for playing audio, video, games, etc.

  • I often use Tor to surf the internet, but after that I've recently updated to 11.0 Firefox (Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu 1.0) I don't know how to disable Tor or open a browser non - Tor; Tor button has disappeared from the lower right. Thank you!

I use Firefox (Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu 1.0) 11.0 in Ubuntu 10.04. Since the Firefox 11.0 update, I was unable to disable Tor, or to navigate without using Tor. There used to be a button at the bottom right which enabled me to move from a Tor enabled, but it's gone. I could find no mention of this in the Tor documentation, so I ask here in the hope that someone had a similar problem and has been able to solve.

Ubuntu 11.04 displays the window menus in the control bar at the top of the screen with the switch to the window of the Unit Manager.

Click bookmarks/view all bookmarks, and then move your mouse to the upper left corner to the Firefox Web browser.

You will get a pop up menu (Organization, views and import and backup).

  • Refresh, got free firefox but pay for 2015, how can I register?

I want that as my Firefox browser. I would prefer that it also as my search engine, but it is not in my Options. I made an update to remove some of the problems. I updated Windows and downloaded Firefox for free. However, I would use my Firefox I pay for and which will soon be renewed 2015. How do I do that?

Firefox is not a "search engine". Depending on what country reside you in, Firefox supplies a variety of search engines with your localized version of Firefox by default.

You can install search engines you want from a variety of places. The official website of Mozilla Add - ons has available for installation - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search-tools/ - search engines or you can get the search engines here - http://mycroftproject.com/ - which has a Web site that has recently been restructured to MozDev.org which hosts many projects related to products of Mozilla and is hosted by Mozilla.

  • Where can I download the version of Firefox 64 b for Windows 7?

Missing at Mozilla.org is their old "Downloads" section, where the different versions of Firefox are available for their operating system.

I'm looking for a browser Firefox 64 b that is compatible with Windows 64 b. operating systems is there such a version? DRM for your help.

For Linux, 64-bit was necessary as otherwise the user will have to install the required 32-bit libraries, he built themselves or use a package of 64-bit of the third of their Linux distro.

There was also a lot of practice with the versions of Linux 64 - bit for some time on channel every night before the release of Firefox 4.0 even has emerged and they have mainly been used to catch the break since it is possible to break the 64-bit without affecting the 32-bit time.

For Mac, it had and by supporting 64-bit from Firefox 4.0, this is one of the reasons for the abandonment of PPC support.

Also when there is Firefox Win64 versions one will need Windows 7, 8.x or newer as servers, Vista, and XP 64-bit only is not supported.

  • Firefox 64-bit for Windows

Y at - it no hope to get Firefox 64-bit for windows soon?
My problem is Firefox + JDK/netbeans-bundle on 64-bit Windows 8.
Everything else can be 64-bit, but Firefox. If Firefox wants JRE 32 bit for normal navigation, but 64-bit JDK installation replaces it with 64 bit that does not work on Firefox.

Installation of JDK/NB-bundle 32 bit on 64 bit Win8.1 crashes.

So it's a JDK/NB or Java compatible Firefox, but not both?
Or y at - it a simple way to tell Firefox to look at another directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_20) when the other SW is looking in the default directory (C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_20)?)

I know that the problem has three parts: Microsoft, Oracle and Mozilla, but Mozilla seems to be one with no option (64-bit) "in progress."

SuperSluethe, please do not suggest that the web site because it links just a random accumulation of 35.0a1 of the channel of Nightly development without any warning. This channel is a bleeding edge and gets check-ins almost everyday as well so that they get an update of each of these days.

As for 64-bit Linux, they can get those clean https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
