On my boxes linux (Xubuntu 12.04 with all the updates and patches), Firefox suddenly starts displaying all the pages as text only. I rebooted my machine without modification. I also uninstalled Firefox and all the configuration files and reinstalled without effect. The only add-on is shockwave 11.2.220. I disabled that and no luck. Does anyone know if there is another element of mystery to be uninstalled / reinstalled to get web pages to display normally? Are there additional measures beyond apt - get autoremove firefox that cleans up really really what is the cause? Any other suggestions?
