FireFox 29.0.1 is sluggest to inadmissible

I am running Windows XP and two service Packs, and have maximum RAM. The hard drive has at least 60% of available space.

I have several programs of malicious software bugs who reported that my system is clean. The hard drive has been defragmented. When this version of FF was installed, he accepts all the plugins except Forecastfox 2.2.2.

Firefox is slow to respond to a click on a website with the help of 10 seconds or more able to show in the tab 'connection '. When you "Connect" in a tab appears it then takes more than 10 seconds before the web page is displayed. The drafting of this report as well as other writings on another web page, there is a pause when you press the SPACEBAR. Try to flip a page has the same slowness of several seconds.

I'm tired of this. If it is not fixed, can I go back to the previous version of FF, which worked so well?

It is with all many web pages?

Many issues of the site can be caused by corrupted cookies or cache.

Clear the Cache

Firefox/tools > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

and

Delete Cookies
Firefox/tools > Options > privacy.

Under historical, select Firefox will use the custom settings.

There is a button on the right side, called View the Cookies.

If there is still a problem,
Launch Firefox in Mode safe

While you are in safe mode;

Firefox Options > advanced > General.

Find and stop using hardware acceleration.

Dig safe web sites and see if there is still a problem. Then restart.

Although every time I open firefox it ask password but doesn't accept correct nor rejects the wrong password and stops nothing do rather than load them when we type no matter what URL or try to go anywhere.

  • Firefox does not open. Hangs during 'connection '. Inadmissible even in the process of closing via the Task Manager.

Yesterday, Firefox does not open. It hangs at the "stage of connection." For hours. It doesn't even turn off using the Manager of tasks for applications or processes, and it hangs almost all other applications. I thought that I managed to save a Word document opened yesterday - it looked like a slow, but normal save during the shot of Firefox, but the document was empty when I restarted my computer.

Although my machine is not pentium 4 in service, I tried to start by using the configuration of Windows XP/M, I downloaded and re-installed (above) the existing version, I checked that no process of Mozilla turned before trying to start Mozilla and tried to create a new profile. Absolutely no success. Every time (dozens), I tried to start Firefox, I had to force a difficult to exit the application shutdown. I now have this marking Firefox in my taskbar, because I keep forgetting and hit by reflex.

I am running version 11.0 (at least that's what I just downloaded - I am not positive of what I was running yesterday). My system is Windows 7 Home Premium, Intel Core i3 2.4 gHz, 4 GB of RAM, 64 bit OS.

Next option is to restore to an earlier version. If this does not work, I uninstall and start again from scratch.

I disabled AVG (antivirus free 2012) for 10 minutes, open Firefox and browsed a bit. Close the browser, whereas the temporarily disabled AVG activated itself again and restarted Firefox. Now, it connects perfectly - several times faster than prior to this incident (I have installed v 12.0; previous version was 11.0). I use the Microsoft Firewall, if while the firewall solution suggested above has not worked, he put me on the right track.

  • the first two inches of my screen of firefox seems inadmissible is unable to click on the links or enter the scroll bar on the right side of the screen if it is at the top of two inches below the toolbar

It seems that for some reason, I can't click on links, images or anything really in the top two inches of the screen of my internet browser, it seems like a "dead zone of all kinds."

the toolbar is very good, and about two inches down on the screen, everything is sensitive.

The extension of the Yahoo! toolbar reported that causes this problem.

  • How to uninstall Firefox

I need to uninstall firefox from Windows 7 Home Premium machine, but can't. I tried to uninstall it through the Control Panel, but that has not worked. I then tried a repair, also did not work. I've then navigated to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\helper.exe to uninstall it, but it did not work. Nothing I've tried has even produced a response from firefox, without uninstalling box appeared, no dialog boxes any don't get in, it just sits there completely inadmissible. Yes, I tried safe mode. Yes, I made sure firefox is not running in the background. Help.

Found a way to uninstall it manually.

-Manually went through and deleted all the files of Mozilla on the C: drive

-Ran CCleaner to clean the registry after removing all folders manually

-Are passed through the registry and manually removed all instances of Mozilla

-Then run uninstall from Control Panel and received the message that the program had already been uninstalled

  • Update of Flash Player seems to have reset Firefox.

Windows Vista up to date. Last update of Firefox. Latest update of Flash Player.

I followed the prompt to update Flash Player as usual, which opened and ran through Internet Explorer (sharing computer, IE is the default browser). After download and installation of update of the FP, it opened the "Step 3" FP in Firefox page, apparently it crashing in the process.

Normally, Firefox opens with 2 pinned tabs (which is Pandora) and all that is left in the last browsing session. This time he opened with a darkened/unloaded (the page tab "FF crashed") and the stage of FP Adobe page 3 in the 2nd tab 2 tabs, that has been loaded. No other tabs pinned or other. Opening FF opens the start page of FF and not the other tabs. The normal configuration is listed in the story under "Restore Windows closed" ("Restore closed tabs" has a separate list).

Opening from the previous installation to "Restore the windows closed" reveals the installer, though Pandora has become indeed inadmissible (cache, cookies, history, etc. has been deleted) due to a buggy script. However, regardless of where I sail, FF never restores the previous session (as it is supposed to), but rather by default is the start page.

I have not tried resetting FF, in the hope of a better solution.

    Thanks in advance.

Please try reinstalling Flash, it is possible to restore the session restore file in the folder of your profile to an earlier version. But firstly I would recommend to backup and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox

  • Firefox starts up. Said 'it's embarrassing... "but do not restore or close because never answers. Updated and restart without help. Cannot access the options.

Unresponsive. Updated and rebooted without success. Can't seem to 'options' due to no response. Always 'it's embarrassing... "but to restore or close button ends up making inadmissible browser. Closed with Taché also. Can't get into safe mode.

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

Please report back to see if this helped you!

  • Firefox does not, as soon as I open the window solutions, may NOT START in safe MODE?

Recently, I accidentally begain download some unwanted addons - but I cancelled the download before being finished and quickly removed the programs by uninstalling program files issues. Firefox worked pretty well at the time, but later he started to become less sensitive. I did some cleaning (clear the cache, etc.) and done a virus scan. Has not made a difference.
Eventually he started to get like some that I open a firefox browser - becomes inadmissible. The first two times, disconnection and reconnection to my connection int fixed. But now is not working and even after uninstalling and reinstalling firefox, it is inadmissible. I should have the version 6.0.2
Finally, there is no way I can run firefox in SafeMode because as soon as I open the browser it is inadmissible, which means that I can not even access toolbars.

    -> Close Firefox

    • Click the Firefox button, and then click exit
    • NOW press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC keys to open the--> Task Manager process tab-> click right firefox.exe and click end process tree -> close the Task Manager

-> Start Firefox in Mode safe by holding down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox

    • As alternative method, use the Win + R key combination and enter one of the following values in the box run Windows:

      • Firefox-safe-mode
      • "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"-safe-mode
      • "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla"-safe-mode

-> Safe mode of Firefox window will appear-> don't SELECT ANY OPTIONS, just click continue in Safe Mode

Check and tell if its work while you use Firefox Mode without failure.

  • Does anyone else have a problem with a dash '-' in a link file:// works not in FireFox (works for example) when you click on?

    e.g. file:///\\svr-1\folder1\folder2\file.jpg

A URL of file like this work when typed/pasted into the address bar of FireFox, however, if it is a link in a Web page, it will be inadmissible. If something like this happens to be a link in an e-mail in an e-mail program, wherever e-mail program is set to open links in default browser (and it's Firefox), then Firefox will open a window/tab with the following URL:

    file:///Folder1/Folder2/file.jpg

Where the directory with the '-' and all directories parent the preceding are deleted.

The example above is actually a link to network file, but I've noticed the same if the dashboard is in the folder name or sub of a network file link.

You should probably see a security warning in the tools > error Console because Firefox doesn't allow webpages to access local files.

    This is the correct specification.

You need 5 slashes: two for the Protocol of files, one for the root and two for the server:

    file://////svr-1/folder1/folder2/file.jpg
    file:///folder1/folder2/file.jpg

However after that I use and close Chrome all my program icons are non-responsive, including the commands RUN as msconfig and even Ctrl Alt Del to stop computer. I have to hold down the power button / stop. INCREDIBLY frustrating because I can't even get the problem - EVERYTHING is inadmissible. When I click on a program icon, the mouse is it's "hour glass" thing, but that's all. Any help would be great. Thank you

    Hello

It is a possibility that another application is at the origin of the conflict. We can perform the clean boot to check the defective application.

    Step 1.
Verify that if the problem exists in Mode safe mode with networking, if the computer works as expected in mode safe, then we can solve the problem in the clean boot state.
See the article below for the procedure safe mode in Windows XP
A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    Step 2.
You need to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing and then disable or remove.
How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353/en-us
Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow the steps as explained in the article to reset the computer to start as usual.

    I hope this helps.

Click on start - programs - Internet Explorer, then click on tools in the

  • What is reasonable memory for Firefox use?

    Title says it all-

What is reasonable memory for Firefox use?

The normal use, I am an average of 1.2 G or about memory (of 16 G total); is this normal? Don't not maxing out at all but I was wondering.

  • Sierra firefox

After upgrading to "Sierra" (on late 2009 iMac) Google Spreadsheets seems to no longer work correctly - in Firefox: when I select a cell or attempt a transaction there are lo... delays NGOs - and I am informed that "script" is causing havoc!

(Worksheets appear to work OK in Safari).

Here's what happens: when I select a cell, I see the symbol of "Beach Ball". Shortly after, a (EU) dialog box appears - informing them that "a script is not responding" (or something similar - I use in Danish on the Mac).

The remedies proposed are: "Debug", "Stop Script" or "continue".

"Debug" presents the script (or part of it), but it is of no practical use. (Who knows how to fix an unknown script in a meaningful way?).

"Stop Script" causes the 'Ball box' /Dialog (EU) of beach to reappear again and again.

"Continuous" seems to remove the problem for the rest og the session - but the next time I open spread sheets I need to select 'Continue' once again!
