• WHS restore CD can not find server

  I'm desperately trying to restore my system from a WHS backup.  I have the dual-boot (latest version) from the restore CD.  When I run the CD, he travels check all out them drivers and what not and everything looks like it will work.  Then he gets to the part where it is looking for the server and crashes.  After a minute or two, he reported back that it was impossible to find the server.  I tried again and again but it won't find it yet.  I had changed the name of the server, so I thought that this could be the problem.  When I did the manual option, I typed the name of the server, but he couldn't find it yet.  After a search through the base support, I found a user with a similar problem and was the result of having inproper drivers for the NETWORK card that he had.  After Exchange of the NETWORK card, it worked.  I tried that also but the single NIC adapter I have is USB dongle wireless of my father.  It did not work.

  I have reinstalled Windows 7 on the correct partition.  After that, I reinstalled the WHS Console in the hope that it would be a way to restore the drive via the backup there.  Of course, it isn't.  The only option available is to restore individual files by copying them on one by one.  I'm doing this now, but it does not work on a bunch of them, saying: I need permission for (I use the administrator account on the computer too).  One thing that I thought was trying to rename the server to my new name that I it gives back its original name of the SERVER.  It does not always through the restore CD.

  I don't know what else to try.  Restore of files one by one through the WHS Console does not work on more than 75% of the files he has saved.  I really need to restore and can not believe that there is no solution here for me.  Please if anyone has AN idea of something to try, please let me know!

• Upgrade: numbers can not find the field to change!

  Sorry if I am dense here, I'm sure that there is an obvious answer, anyone here know, but I can't imagine it or find info already online.

  I just upgraded from Cougar to El Capitan.  Then, I upgraded a previous numbers spreadsheet to edit it in El Capitan.  After the installation, I printed it and a field I can't see anywhere on the new version, or find any path, spell on the print-out (immediately above the table and text on 2 lines).

  I think that this field used to be editable in Mountain Lion in a sidebar on the left, but I don't remember the name of it so I can't find how to access in an upgraded version.  I don't know, however, is not the name of the table or sheet name because I can see where to edit those.

  Can someone please help me find the way to access this hidden field so that I can change it?

  I just answered my own question!   After hours of searching in the Inspector, I had an idea more now after I had posted this question here, of course.

  In the case where it is useful to all of you who don't know already (jumped several major improvements to the operating system, so I'm exceptionally behind with new features/functions): it can be seen and edited in the print dialog box.  The 'invisible' text appears and zoom in for a better view, you can change it.

• Internet page cannot be displayed/cannot can not find server or DNS error

  I have a new hard drive and cannot connect to the Internet (page cannot be displayed error / cannot find server or DNS error).  Operating system XP and Internet Explorer v6.  I tried without success to create a new network connection.  The only network connection listed is a 1394 connection.  Under Options, LAN settings is set to automatic detection. The firewall is disabled.

  You must install the network drivers for this system that you did a clean install of windows. After installing the driver, find the network connection. Let me know if it helps.

• can not find the server on a specific Web site

  For the last 2 days I could not access the website of nbcnews.com (and related today.com - however, I have no problem with nbcsports and nbc for shows). This has been one of my tabs House for months and nothing I can think has changed in the last few days. I have no problems with other websites I frequent.

  I tried to access the different ways - via my Home tab, through google and through the sites of nbc I can access - whenever I get the same 'problem loading page not found Server Firefox can not find server to nbcnews.com.

  I've tried clearing cookies and cache and I can't reach this site on Chrome or IE is also found. I'm not sure I want to try a reset. Is there anything else I can try or any reason you can think of why this site can be a problem?

• Firefox can't find my HP 6500 wireless printer.

  Run Firefox version 9.0.1 (all at the time of upgrade to 8.0.1) on a Windows 7 PC. Just installed a HP Officejet 6500 a wireless printer. Printer works fine in Chrome, IE, and Microsoft Word, but apparently Firefox can not find. Print command has no effect. Print Preview command generates a note indicating that a printer could not be found. I have more HP Deskjet 970Cse printer or Canon MP210 printer installed on my computer.

  Although I don't print that much that I was upset not being able to use my third HP printer & swear will never buy another... I was determined not to go out and buy a new printer 'and yet' as this one is only 2 years... Then this morning am went searched around HP site & downloaded a HP detection program (?) whatever it is to see if I could find/fix the problem myself... Once I downloaded that I scanned files to update for the printer and ran that & YES made it & I did not have my coffee in the morning, but either... Happy OK now not need to buy a new printer 'yet '... CKD my FF plugins & there is a plugin for my printer YES... Problem solved this day until next time... TY

• Not found email - message - firefox can't find the Server

  I can connect and when I get to point access e-mail messages to see. Error pops up that says = Firefox can't find the server. Have not changed anything and I took it, I guess that by chance, but not like my usual way.  Cannot open messages, so not sure I see your responses.

  OK, so I had been using Firefox for months on Windows 7, and from nowhere, he stops and says Server not found, Firefox can't find the server. This product whenever I try to use Firefox.
  I use IE but not FF. I need FF for my United program that works more effectively in this regard.
  I've had no problems before. I checked my firewall, connection settings, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program, did a restore of the system... you name it, I probably did.
  It's really frustrating and I can't find any solution!

  One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

  Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

  Since you've already tried then because the redirects and malware is so powerful not much can be done.

• Can not find the server/problem loading page

  I've made a few changes to a CFC that caused it not to compile. When I tried to access my web application it gave me the error as planned CF, pointing to my invalid code. I commented on the service out and reloaded my app. When I tried to view it in the browser, I'm greeted by an error can not find the server. What disturbs me is that I am able to access other web applications without an error cannot find the server in the browser. Does anyone know why an application would cause an error of cannot find the server and not others? I hope this is clear :) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Apparently I WASN'T looking to another web application, but a prototype html that the browser displays because he had no tags CF. The problem is that somehow the CF Server service was not working. It works... problem solved.

  For some reason any change automatically if change you it online. Today, I changed my password through my office and I went to change the mail and she had already changed.

  You can try to delete your account your unit off and add it again.

  Looks like the Navigation bar is what you have now. What happens when you press the Alt key? You see the Menu bar, at least temporarily until you press another button or click a mouse button. When this Menu bar is displayed, press the V button to open the view menu, and then move the slider on the toolbar and click on the menu bar menu item. The Menu bar should then stay open all the time and you won't need to deal with the orange Firefox button.
