Firefox doesn't have my fill of IE8 Favorites list imporet
I installed Firefox recently and when displaying of my favorites, it did not import all the IE8. I tried to import them manually and it goes through the motions as if it's important, but it never brings more everything on my list of favorites.
If I don't get a response in two days, I simply delete firefox and come back to IE.
If you have problems with importing IE bookmarks in Firefox, then export favorites in Internet Explorer to a HTML file and import this file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.
If you don't have the menu bar in Internet Explorer, and then right-click on the toolbar above to activate the menu bar.
- Export Favorites in Internet Explorer to a file (bookmarks.html) HTML:
File > import and export - Import HTML file in Firefox:
Bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > import bookmarks HTML
See "Import from another browser" and "import from file":

Why my Firefox doesn't have a Java plug-in?
My question is similar to Java plug-in for JRE7u21? ', but all the suggestions he has worked are for Windows, and I'm on a Mac, and I don't want to hijack this thread. For the record, this thread is/issues/958847. aw
I have Mac OS X 10.8.5 Mountain Lion, Firefox 24.0, who says that it is up-to-date and Java 7 day 45, also updated. I want only answers for Mac OS X, Windows, Linux.

Since Safari is OK, I suppose that there is a bug in Firefox. Can simply by determining which combinations of versions (of Mac OS X, Firefox and Java) have the Java plug-in and which don't?

My computer crashed (blue screen) and when it restarted a box came asking me to update Firefox. I clicked on OK (thought he was just trying to restore the session) and I have now lost all my favorites, passwords registered etc. There is no 'old Firefox data' folder anywhere on my system - help! is there a way I can get it all back without doing a system restore? I am running Windows 7.
Hi, you can try it for only bookmarks: first open the bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > restore and see if you have a backup there.
If not and the other favorites, please see.
If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

My firefox doesn't have the awesome bar... How can I get the awesome bar?
I use Windows 8 and Firefox 19.0.1... I do not have the awesome bar at the top of the screen... Are there suggestions for the restoration of this feature?
Hi Lew100
You are in full screen (press F11 to toggle)?
You see the Navigation bar?
- Firefox menu button > Options
- View > toolbars (press F10 to display the menu bar)
- Right click on empty toolbar space
You can check the problems caused by a corrupt localstore.rdf file.

Firefox doesn't have a link to another site
I have an image in my web when you click on the page that is supposed to take the Viewer to another external web site.
I've implemented with Dreamweaver CS4, and it works well with IE6, Google Chrome, but not Firefox.
Please can someone advise how can I modify my code to have Firefox open this external page?
Hello Jill.
First of all, you can have a problem with an extension or plugin that is an obstacle to the normal behavior of your Firefox. Have you tried to disable all add-ons (just to see) to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
If this isn't the case, you can provide a link to the page or download the page (if it is always offline) that we can see what is really happening?

It is very safe NOT having the option for Firefox NOT saving passwords. I am aware very secure and that you don't want my saved passwords. Please consider providing this future option updates to Firefox? Thank you.
The memory (ever) choice of password appears if you get the key icon in the location bar to store a name and a password when you visit a Web site with a log-shaped and you try to connect.
- Press the F10 key or press the Alt key to bring up the 'Menu Bar' temporarily if the menu bar is hidden.
- Use "Firefox > Options" instead of "tools > Options" If the menu bar is hidden.
- Tools > Options > Security: passwords: [] "Remember passwords for sites".

What happened to the search box, I type in? He disappeared on my Firefox Start Page.
Yes. This is the new default value: Home home.
Topic: home page only shows a few clips and has a button to restore the previous session, as appropriate.
If you want a homepage with extras like previous versions of Firefox then put another page than the homepage like www.google.com such as used in versions of Firefox 3 or on the iGoogle homepage ([www.google.com/ig]).

New Firefox doesn't have a history of menu drop down reliable - help!
I've just upgraded to the latest version of Firefox and makes a few versions that I did that. An important feature that I use in my work is now gone! I need to be able to work my way through screens of 3-4 on our Web site, and then return to the first screen to enter a different search term, spend 3-4 screens, go back to the first screen for a new period of research, etc.. Because of the way our system is set up it is not possible for me to simply mark the first screen - I need to come back as it was, over and over again.
Help, I can't do it now! Used to be I could pull down a menu drop-down 'history' from the back button, but it is no longer possible. The list of actual history, when I go to him in the menu does not list for just the page history that I am on, for some reason any and does not give me the link to the screen, that I need to come back.
It's very very frustrating - it looks like a feature was removed, and I need this feature to do my job effectively. Can you help me to add this back to the next version of Firefox or to let me know how I can go back to the previous version if I use this feature? Please - thanks.
The arrow to open the history tab of the previous buttons and following was removed in Firefox 4 and later versions.
Use one of the following methods to open the tab history list:
- Right-click on the back or next button
- Press and hold the left button of the mouse on the active back or forward button until the list opens
You can watch this extension:
- Backward forward history Dropdown: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/backforedrop/

My spellchecker of firefox doesn't seem to work; That's assuming that it exists at all. For example, when I misspell a Word when you compose an email using hotmail and I try to correct using the spell checker of hotmail, I get a message saying that I am using a browser that has of own built-in spellcheck. If it is integrated, how the hell can I find?
This has happened

You must install a spelling dictionary, only the US version comes with a dictionary.
