Firefox doesn't save toolbar I made

Given that FF got upgraded to Firefox 23 my toolbars are messed up
Whenever I make a new toolbar via "Customize" > "Add new toolbar" after I out it does not record.

Yes, I read more than 10 different items on it.

(1) I deleted the localstore.rdf and started from scratch. After 15 minutes of moving all the icons on various toolbars, I close to customize. I then don't restart only to find that my toolbar does not save and the missing icon (place in the box customise)

(2) only ALWAYS given solution goes mode without failure and reset everything.
I have to spend 5 hours backup all settings and data that I saved in loaded 189 points.

Why so much of? If this isn't the case, that much I have to spend all day on my computer to do things that a lot of these addons are for me more than 6 hours. Time is money.

(3) it is not the first time in 8 years or to use Firefox, what happened.

(4) question why doen't save when you close on 'Customize' when you go out? More than in Firefox that is messed up, it is not just save?

Tried to create a new profile, just to test whether the new toolbar would return after the closing, and Yes, he has returned. So I guess the root of the problem is in the profile.

Not sure if I want to go to the massive effort to move all piecemeal from the old profile to the new profile.

I have to stay with the workaround.

I just use a registry cleaner (Untiitled_ Tool Box) and now all my settings on Firefox are gone. Changes in the toolbars:

I don't like the changes made to the user interface either, rather than to save toolbar space, they would have much more space with 1/10 the functionality. But the important thing is that it's Firefox and you can customize things yourself. Your complaints about the Firefox toolbars are the top 10 items in what follows and they are quickly fixed.

Google has waited very long before for finally stating that they would maintain is no longer their toolbar for Firefox, claiming that it was not necessary, and that the items were in Firefox. Also be aware that the features are also in their own browser that also do not need or use the Google toolbar. Not only is Mozilla open source, but all the information is available to anyone - you can even listen online meetings yourself or wait for a printed reviewa.

  • Firefox will not save my Yahoo mail passwords, but will be exploring.

Firefox allows to save passwords of yahoo Mail, but lately, doesn't seem to work. I have 2 email accounts and password with Yahoo. I read through and clicked on all the things on which allows passwords to be saved, but nothing works. I don't have this problem with Solution Explorer. If it's just something that Yahoo has been close Firefox then so let it be, but if there is something that can be done I would appreciate the help.

I read through the other Q & A on this point, it looks like a big problem everywhere, but many solutions say on bookmarks, etc I do not understand what to do. Many say "resolved", but I don't see any solution.

remmed on my first temporary comment

Hello, Web sites can specify whether browsers should be able to save the name of user and password (through the AutoComplete = "off" attribute in the login form in the HTML source)-this is also the case with yahoo.

You can either install an addon or use a bookmarklet to work around this restriction.

  • FF doesn't save... found passwords solution

I had the same problem that many others have had dating back to 2012. Firefox (ver 24) leave save and even lost my password. I tried 'ALL' stuff and the solutions proposed by the experts. Not a single one worked! Behold, this is what I finally did to solve my problem.

    1. save all your bookmarks, found in "show all bookmarks". Save to your desktop, so you can find it.

    2. find the file "Mozilla FireFox" of their Web page. Download the file appropriate for your system needs.

    3. do not forget where you load this file. You need to reinstall a new version. Also, I have re-installed the new version of "Nocturnes" (27.0) which is in beta and caused a few problems before. But it was the only version of FF that works for me.

    4. as a precautionary measure to check if you have Microsoft is still installed on your system. You will need in case you can not re - install FF and need to reconnect to the Internet. I did not and it scary but all goes well when I reinstalled Firefox.

    5. go into 'Control Panel' systems and find "Programs and features" and "Uninstall" FireFox.

    6. restart just to clear memory resident, ignored problems.

    7. find the file downloaded for Firefox. Install it. It totally goes back to square one. You lose all your settings.

    8. after installation, go to "Show all bookmarks" reinstall that save you bookmarks. It will ask where the file is so I hope that you remember where you put it.

    9. you will have to reset all your preferred settings one at a time all over again.

    10. in the title of "Add-ons", you will need to re - install all those too. I installed "Save Password Editor" for my system and it works well. There are several to choose from, your choice.

So far, my system is back to normal, but I still need to visit all the sites that use a password and completely re - enter everyone again and save. Password editor makes it easy. Copy and paste the ' old files key and code access ' as to suggest that also did not work. I did, things became worse, not better.

It's my solution and it worked! Good luck...

Normally, this should work if you delete the two files signons.sqlite and signons3.txt involved to store the name and the password to do this work. Some extensions installed or in private browsing mode can cause also save new passwords to fail.

Some Web sites use autocomplete = off to prevent Firefox to save and fill in the name and the password automatically.

You can remove autocomplete = off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox to record names and passwords and other form data.

Other web pages can use JavaScript or other means that do not work in the current Firefox versions and in such a case, you will need to use an extension.

It is likely that Firefox doesn't fill the name and password via the Manager password so in such a case.

The problems are gone now. However, I'll never know exactly what that caused them. When I restarted the computer in safe mode problems continue. But when I tried to restart my computer does not recognize the hard drive in safe mode or in normal mode.

It is possible that the Firefox problems were caused by a faulty hard drive.

I was able to rebuild the directory with Disk Warrior and transfer my files, but the disk would not boot. Fortunately, I had a spare hard drive. I installed and reloaded all my software and data from scratch. I also downloaded the latest version of Firefox. Firefox works fine now.

Thanks for all your suggestions. They may not have fixed this particular problem, but I learned a few new tricks from you to solve other problems.

  • Firefox does not save form history

Recently, I've erased recent history, including the form and historical research. I've now disabled this box and I am using a week evey of particular form, but he continues to not remember the details I entered several times since I erased from history. In the privacy option, it is located in "remember history". If I change to "use the custom settings for history", it shows that "remember form history" is checked.

This seems to be an error or do I have to keep the privacy setting "use custom settings for history"? I use Windows 7 on a Toshiba laptop from 64-bit.

    Thank you.

If you have more (other) prefs, then they must have been added by an extension.

  • HD's crashed, reinstalled the OS, how Firefox keep my Bookmarks Toolbar?

This isn't really a problem, but I wonder how it happened, if someone can explain it.

I had a hard drive crash, so I replaced and installed openSUSE Linux. From restarting after the installation, I opened Firefox and my Bookmarks Toolbar has been the same, with additions, that I had done for personal sites (some Linux help sites and job search sites, I added) before the crash of HD.

I don't use synchronization, which is not part of the equation, unless there is an aspect of synchronization, which is enabled by default.

By curiosity and a sense of wonder about safety, my question is this: is it bookmarks bar of information stored somewhere in the depths of a server to Mozilla/Firefox (or elsewhere) and how did my new installation pick up my Bookmarks Toolbar personally updated the to be used in the new facility?

That would be the question for openSUSE support, if you use the version of Firefox that comes with openSUSE.

The version of Firefox that comes directly from Mozilla [that you have installed yourself] is not active by default Sync. The version of openSUSE may have their own function for this, but I doubt that real if it is enabled automatically without your knowledge, or if synchronization is automatically turned on or the other.
