Firefox keeps crahing when I close a tab, or minimize the browser, any fix?
This started happening two days ago, I haven't closed any label for the last hour and firefox works fine. But it continues to crash when closing a tab or try to minimize the browser. I didn't know a fix listed for it. Help, please!
This is a bug in Flash. Please update to the latest version of Flash, https://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/, then reset Firefox. Refresh Firefox – reset the parameters and modules

When I encounter a link on a web page, I usually open it in a new tab. This tab appears to the right of the current tab. I then select the new tab to see the link. When I finished and close this new tab, the focus goes to the tab to the right if we're here (usually the case for me), but I would have preferred the focus to return to the tab to the left, where I came from, and are therefore automatically. How can I change the direction of focus when I close a tab to remove the click of the mouse to select the previous tab?

I changed my computer from XP to Windows 7 and migrated my FF browsers. But... now the tabs at the top of the page are all right (they were upper-front left - where I loved her)
The most important is the "open a new tab" + - is on the right. But that is not sensible. Why you put "Open a new tab" on the extreme right of the browser, when you close a tab on the left and you type a new URL in the browser on the left?
How can I put my "open a new tab" immediately to the right of 'Close tab' - as if it was before?
Please advise?
Try clicking on "Restore default settings" in the palette to customize to reset the toolbar customization.

Just updated Firefox to update from 28 to 31. Now, every time I close a tab (by clicking the x to the right of the current tab), rather than close this tab, it opens another tab just to the right of the tab I'm closing. Subsequent attempts produce the same result... with a series of new tabs, building to the right of the current tab with every click. Only way to close the tabs must leave and then re - open Firefox, but the problem continues as before.
Until I can find a solution for this, I want to go back to 28 - is this possible and if so, how?
TIA
Update: Firefox updated itself, it only is complaint not on the current versions of the Add - ons installed.
On a whim, I went to Tools/Add-ons and noticed that one point, Tab Mix Plus, indicated that there is an update available. Once this update has been installed and restarted FF, the problem no longer existed.
Problem solved by installing the 0.4.1.4 TMP!
NOTE: Maybe the FF 31.0 update process should be amended to flag Tab Mix Plus versions prior to 0.4.1.4 when it verifies the compatibility of the add-on.

I have firefox clear history when it closes and it clears my exceptions to pop up every time it closes. How firefox can erase history without deleting the exceptions to the pop-up windows? Allow this makes it difficult to play of Facebook games like farmville, because I have to allow him every time, and I have to type in rather than it to automatically. Thank you, Jamie
Do not remove the navigation, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Site preferences".
Compensation of the "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.

Firefox continues to try to update each time I open the browser, and it then puts a message saying update failed. It does this on both of my computers. We already have the latest version, the other does not. How can I stop Firefox to do this?
If there are problems with the implementation at day then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and remove the Firefox program folder to remove all remaining files.
Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.
- Firefox 10.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current version of Firefox, if possible.
- Do NOT remove the data of a personal nature when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data, because all profile files will be deleted.
Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.
Your bookmarks and other profile data stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a relocation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you uninstall Firefox.

18.0.1 FireFox crashes when I close a tab
Hello
Firefox 18.1.0 18.0.1 crashes constantly every time I got close a tab.
It gets very frustrating, I have been using FF for several years now and wouldn't have to find another browser. Any suggestions please.
Edited 18.1.0 to 18.0.1 Firefox version number
The accident for the first Crash ID report you furniture confirms that the problem is caused by Norton:

A user has posted that he was able to disable the Norton Toolbar extension in the Add-ons Manager leaving completely the Firefox instead of use the restart button (if you see the Mozilla Crash Reporter, click "Quit Firefox") and then start fresh Firefox. Another user who simply disable Norton Safe Search posted has solved the problem. I do not use Norton products, but I found some information here). The good workaround may have to do with this Norton software you have installed and the version.
If looks like a Norton fix for 2012 and 2013 products will be released the week of February 1, according to a post by Symantec employee Tony Weiss as of 25/01/2013 here: http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Toolbar-Norton-Identity/Firefox-18-Support-for-Norton-Toolbar/td-p/886714
