Search for antivirus interference.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 disable analysis of electronic mail, then delete your e-mail account, close OE and reopen it and then re-add the e-mail back account.  Moreover, if you can connect via webmail, verify that send works through webmail to ensure that it is not a problem on the server.

Can someone help me solve this problem? I have Microsoft XP Professional on my computer.  Thank you.

A common cause of this is to have your program configured antivirus to analyze the messages, including outgoing mail.  If you can completely uninstall the AV program, and then reinstall it without the analysis feature mail.  If you can't do that, turn off scanning messages.  You will be just as safe.

  • I use outlook express 6 and I can receive an email of great but when I try to send it after making the necessary changes, i.e. the signature I get the message 'too big for the server.

I use outlook express 6 and I can receive an email of great but when I try to send it after making the necessary changes, i.e. the signature I get the message "too big for the server" responses I've seen so far tell me absolutely nothing

Well, the error message says it all.  "" too big for server".

There is a limit imposed by your ISP/mail server, which you don't mention.

Not only the servers have limits on the size, this is not necessarily the same for incoming and outgoing messages.

If you say you use the e-mail program and the name of your e-mail server, maybe we can shed light on the more specific issue, but the problem is definitely with them and not Outlook Express.

P.S. I'm not sure what you mean by 'signature'

  • Outlook express 6 crashes when compaction

Outlook express 6 crashes when the compaction. I tried 3 times

Your best bet would be at this point to go to the file. Identities and setup a new identity.  This will give you a base of messages remained totally fresh.  Once it is installed, and then use file | Import | Messages and import them from the old identity.  Its a good idea to backup the message store also, as seems to be somewhat corrupt.  See also point 3 here (www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3) that corruption could be due to interference from other programs.

There is no bar in WLMail 2011 and 2012. What version do you use? The last version to work under XP (this forum) is WLMail 2009 and having a Menu bar with file on it.

If you transfer to a more recent machine...

In Outlook Express, compact you files first.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

Transfer of data from Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail:

    For Messages:

Note: If any DBX file is over 300 MB, return to OE and move some messages from the folder related to a new user created folder and compact down the size of the file.

    For addresses:

Open the address book in OE and file | Export | Address book (wab) and save it to the desktop. Copy it to a flash drive. Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.

Note: If you use a CD or a DVD instead of a flash drive, after placing on the new machine you must remove the read-only attribute in the properties before you import.

    For the account settings:

In OE: Tools | Accounts, select the account and export it to the desktop. This will be an .iaf file. Copy it to the new desktop computer.

In OutLook Express... I can receive messages. I can very well read the mail and I can delete mail very well. I can't create mail. I can't answer the mail. I can't transfer the mail. I can't open my address book. Can someone help me to fix and solve this problem?

    Problem of Outlook Express...

In Outlook Express with the help of windows XP, home edition and Explorer... I can't create mail. I can't answer the mail. I can't mail before , and I can't open my address book. I peut receive mail. I can open and read the mail. I can delete mail.

Here are the error messages I receive:

    AddressBook:

In the pop-up window, a triangle orange samll with exclamation point inside. The text reads...

"Unable to open the address book. The AddressBook is may not be installed correctly. »

    Create a Mail:

It has a similar error with the same triangle window, but the text reads,

"There was an error opening this message. An error has occurred. »

    Answer:

The same error as box create a message.

    Before:

The same error as box create a message and the reply.

    Also:

Right-click to highlight an error window or page does not work, then make a left click to copy does not work...

Try to go to file | Identities and setup a new identity.  Then, add your account and see if it works then.  If they do, use the file | Import | Messages to bring them from the old identity.

If it downloads message #46 and then stops, message #47 is damaged or too big. Log in to your Webmail site server and delete the problem message.

I have a Micro SD card reader, when I insert my memory card into the reader, he comes and stays there until I try to transfer files to the memory card, or if I run a h2testw test it disconnects.

  • Sort the list of open windows in descending order when windows are combined in the taskbar

Sort the list of open windows in descending order when windows are combined in the taskbar

I like to combine windows in order to access all my programs in the taskbar. I have tons of open Outlook messages that I need to respond to the last open order to open older. The problem is that the list of the oldest opened open again, and I have to constantly scroll to the bottom of this list to access the most recent message. Is there a way view the list by e-mail open newest to oldest?

It would be a time saving of huge productivity for me, and I saw that many of my colleagues would benefit as well.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry there is no function like that.

You can consider using Outlook flags instead.  Arrival of emails, you will need to respond to, click the red flag on them.  They will appear in your Outlook ' to do' list so you can keep track of those you will have to answer to and check the power off when you are finished.
