Firefox Mac 10.6 to fall?

I have a processor Intel Mac Mini, which works really well despite her antiquity, but obviously I need to upgrade the operating system. I would be very happy if someone could tell me if Firefox will be dropping support for Mac 10.6 soon? I'll spend the $25 for the Snow Leopard installation disc, but if it is soon to be unsupported, I guess I'd better save the dough and put the money towards a "most recent" used Mac. Hate to be cheap, but finances are tight. Thanks MUCH for any help you can offer!

Mac OSX 10.6 still supports Firefox from 26.0 and has been the minimum requirement 17.0
https://www.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/26.0/system-requirements/

I saw no sign of a future demanding version 10.7 or newer, although I remember and that recent change added OSX 10.9 to list from Firefox 25.0 prerequisites.

    see you soon,

It is a problem of operating system not a browser problem, the URLs of the files created by internet explorer which is only compatible Windows. Therefore, the .url file type is not compatible with Mac OS or any software created for her.

However, you can extract the actual URL, you need the file:

  • Preview cannot 'Take a Screen Shot' in Firefox Mac

I have a MacBook with OS 8.0 overview 10.10.4, and Firefox 40.0.3. Google maps, when I try to take a shot with the screen preview (file > take a screen capture > selection...) I get a popup "screenshot cannot be saved. Unable to capture the image of the office. "This is a new issue. I took card screenshots with overview and Firefox several times, but not now. The problem is not the operating system or preview because the process works fine in Chrome.

It is not Firefox! Wandering around my laptop this morning, I finally stumbled upon the answer: this is the report of Trusteer, a program of IBM that protects against malware, and that my Bank asked me to install.

I went to my Mac system preferences > Trusteer Endpoint Protection, clicked on 'Stop of report', then returned to Firefox >maps.google.com, and, when prompted, preview took a screenshot, just as it always has. Who would have thought?

Thank you all for your suggestions.

  • Can not see clearly the content of the area from the top of the window of Firefox (Mac) because of the colorful background. How to make it solid (gray, for example)

On my desktop Mac, the edges of window and the border are gray. On my laptop, there is a background sky blue - as in the top of the window of Firefox and a translucent version of the same through the bar where web addresses are registered and the search criteria. I have a very hard time to see the superior information because of this. I want a background gray (or white) standard. I can't find any Mac preferences or preferences of Firefox that address this issue.

You may have installed a light theme (Persona).
You can uninstall this theme and go back to the default theme (Tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

  • Why does Firefox Mac returns 'Server not found' for a website but Safari on Mac same load site without any problems?

The financial company Web site www.gmo.com will not appear in Firefox 32.0.02. Server not found is the only result. Safari loads Web site without any problem and Firefox for Windows computer in the House support the site without problem. All the other sites I have access, including banks, Amazon, etc. loads normally.

What/why the Mac of Firefox version would not be able to to connect/load this site?

The company of people told me that no one else has reported this problem and other people in my company can access the site. And they cannot reproduce the problem.

My ISP provider could not see anything from their point of view. And access all computers to the modem/router in the House everything without any problems.

Anyone have any ideas on what would cause this or how to go about troubleshooting?

    Thank you for your time.

Looks like it's something on the computer. There are cookies that must be removed individually from the Firefox profile.

To do this, go to the Firefox Menu, tap Preferences, then tap privacy and then delete cookies or cookies see the. You can search the sites that gives you problems and remove them. Restart Firefox.

It could also be that you add a DNS server for your connection. 8.8.8.8 is google, but I don't know if this would affect given that the server is not found, not that there is no link, that's why it does not sound like a connection problem, but a cache problem. Use the Profile Manager to create and delete profiles Firefox

  • Bookmarks drop down the list too wide Firefox Mac OSX Lion 31

When I click on the drop down bookmarks menu, it's too wide. If there is a folder in the contents list shown far right. At the point where I'm moving the mouse on there where the contents of the folder is it disappears. Am on Mac OSX Lion. I tried to scroll on the corners and sides of the drop down list to search again for the sizing handles, but none are. It is not just Firefox 31 version as has happened for some time. Any ideas please?

Which may be caused by the presence of a few bookmarks with a long title in the main menu of bookmarks.
The width of a column in the list of bookmarks is in the current versions of Firefox automatically adjusted the bookmark with the longest name.
You can check the names of the bookmarks and the longer more short.

  • 12 Firefox (Mac): PDF file is not displayed

I get only a blank in Firefox screen when I click a PDF web link. I tried most of the solutions here: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/cant-view-pdf-web.html
Some of the solutions suggested that I can't try. For example, in the Adobe Reader preferences the check mark "view in browser" is grayed out, I can't deselect.
If I disable the plugin I can download the PDF file when I click on a link.
Safari has no problem to display PDF documents.
Mac OS x Lion, Firefox 12.0

    See-> https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2012/05/04/adobe-reader-blocked-mac/

There is a specific problem of Mac with Adobe Reader. Adobe is working on a fix.

Rather than use the plugin to display PDF files in Firefox, open the PDF files in Adobe Reader/Adobe Acrobat

  • Footer appears right in Firefox/Mac

Take a look at my site:

    www.flightlineengineering.com

I can't understand why Firefox on Mac will not make the footer area correctly. In comparison, it appears correctly in IE, Safari and Chrome (Mac and Win). And it does not correctly in Firefox on a PC.

If I load the site locally (from my hard drive) in Firefox, the page footer appears correctly. But not from the remote server.

    Any suggestions appreciated, thanks-

  • Flash player on Firefox Mac OS 10.10 Yosemite?

I tested the Flash Player 15.0 r0 (15.0.0.152) on Firefox (32.0.2) in public beta of Mac OS 10.10 (Yosemite)

Subject: addons in Flash shows Flash Player.plugin as comfortable for MIME application/x-shockwave-flash (.swf) and "always active".

Yet as far as I can see, Flash does not start at all.  Is this a known issue?

(Of course, the program installation of Flash Player as the claims support through 10.9 OS.)  You have another month before 10.10 supposed to be delivered.  Photo: we'll be on top of that?)  [It works (for the most part) in Safari and works well on Chrome].

    Hello

I overview 10.10.0_14A36c1 OS X and have installed 15.0.0.152 and Firefox 32.0.2 and am not having a problem displaying the Flash content.

Using Firefox, please navigate to The Flash Player Help.  Click on the button check now yellow.  It should detect the installed version of Flash Player and display in the widget which ensued.  There is also an animation Flash tree at the bottom of the page.  I also tested a few other popular websites that contain Flash content and was able to view the Flash video.

Please provide URLS to content Flash appears as expected.

  • Firefox MAC v30 with proxy must authenticate "Cache Access Denied" sorry, you are not allowed to ask: this cover until you have authenticated

Firefox functioned perfectly until we have updated to version 30.0. It seems that the new version does not like our Proxy Configuration that requires users to auth with their AD accounts.

In the latest version, Firefox will appear a box that allow you to type the user name and password that works perfectly. However, this is not pop up anymore and gives me this error message.

    The following error was encountered:

       Cache Access Denied.

Sorry, you are not allowed to ask:

       http://www.google.com.au/url?

This cache until you have yourself authenticated.

I try to configure the username into a key ring and allow firefox to access manually, but Firefox seems does not access this key chain at all.

Is that someone has a problem with the proxy server that needs to authenticate in Firefox30.0? Does anyone know the possible solutions?

    Thank you very much!

    Trouble Shooting - update

Interestingly enough, Firefox works for 1 minute after I use Safari with proxy Auth. However, if I get Safari for 1 or 2 minutes, Firefox will be stop working and displays similar error message.

tried network.http.use - cache = false but does not work

    Thank you

We find the solution of Philipp is useful.

"Hello, this is perhaps due to the deactivation of some insecure authentication protocols in firefox 30: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/30.0/releasenotes/#whatsnew .

You can try to enter: config in the firefox address bar (confirm the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named network.negotiate - auth.allow - insecurity-ntlm-v1. Double-click it and change its value to true. »

  • Firefox Mac always keep a history after erasing it

Hi, I met an unusual behavior in my firefox 24, I can't confirm if the problem exists in my windows desktop atm (I have some problems with it and yet a part of the material), but in my macbook, I clean up the past and everything (I check everything and each item in the list) but firefox still remember many things.

For example, if I am going to an image in photobucket now and then clean up the history, if I type .gif in bar a drop of addresses down with each .gif I've ever visited will appear, including the last, I went upstairs...

This happens for other sites, for example if I visit my friend on facebook page and then clean up the past, that if I start to type the name in the address bar (as shown in facebook) he will skip this url as I never cleaned it the history/cache/etc...

Everything else seems to be deleted, as sites returned, the history log and browser cache, but it seems that the address bar is having a memory of its own.

Any idea on what to do? A cleaning with SHIFT + BACKSPACE is not of any help, because it seems that the story is when I did a clean OS install last Christmas...

I think it is best to uninstall and reinstall the update of FF.
