FIrefox opens in Japanese on my desk, but I want English. How?

Whenever I start Firefox, the entire page opens in Japanese. I read and speak Japanese, it is true, but I work in English. How can I get Firefox to open in English?

Hello, is the interface for firefox (inputs menu, etc.) itself in Japanese? If so, you can download an English version of firefox from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ and install it on top of your current browser.

If Web sites default to the Japanese instead of English, you can also change the priority of the languages in the content section of the firefox options: content settings web, pop-ups, fonts and languages
Although this may not work in all cases, given that websites can use language versions based on a language derived from your current network location.

Install it on the laptop using the installation files and your serial number.  Your license allows two facilities enabled, so you can have it on both machines.  If you do not then you can disable the desktop by opening the application and by choosing Help-> Deactivate.

  • How can I stop Firefox opening iTunes or ask me which application I want to use for the links from the itms/itmss?

When I opened iTunes App Store link, Firefox wants to automatically open iTunes. In Options > Applications, I found the itms and itmss content types, which causes this behavior. I can change "always ask them", but when I do, I get a automatic every time I open the link asking me to choose between "iTunes" or "Choosing an Application." To avoid future pop ups, I check "Remember my choice for itmss links" but only after selecting iTunes or another application. There should be a third option there for 'doing nothing '. Is it possible to tell Firefox to ignore completely the content of the itms/itmss?

Is there some prefs the protocol handler if you are looking for the topic: config page?

    • Network.protocol - handler.

You just solved my problem - there is no Network.protocol - handler.external. itms or itmss prefs, so I added the Boolean values:

    Network.protocol - handler.external.itms
    Network.protocol - handler.external.itmss

Set to false and voila! No iTunes, don't ask me what program to use.

Once opened, you can run this command to kill the Firefox process:

    • Kill - 9 $(ps-x | grep firefox)

I'm not a Mac user, but that the command works for me in Ubuntu.

To understand what is causing the blocking issue, you can try to start Firefox in Mode safe. To start Firefox in Safe Mode, just do the following:

    • Clikc the help on the menu bar menu and select Restart with disabled modules.
    • Click Start mode safe mode in the dialog box that appears.

Safe mode disables the following text:

    • Extensions
    • Default theme is used
    • userChrome.css and userContent.css files are ignored
    • default toolbar is used
    • Hardware acceleration is disabled.

    Hello

Firefox on Windows is now after display, scaling options that can make the biggest text on screens at high resolution. There are several ways to solve this problem. See the Web pages are broad and fuzzy after update of Firefox - how to fix article for a suggestion. Here is another possible solution:

    • Type of topic: config in the Firefox address bar and hit the Enter key.
    • If the warning that this might void your warranty , click I'll be careful, I promised.
    • Search for layout.css.devPixelsPerPx

    • Double-click layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to edit its value. The default value is - 1.0 in Firefox 22 and above. Change it to 1.0 to run as in previous versions of Firefox.

If necessary, further adjust the value of 0.1 or 0.05. Values between 1.0 and around 0.5 to reduce the size of the elements. Use a value greater than 1.0 to increase the size. For example, a value of 1.25 will increase the font size of the 125% to account for the default DPI setting in Windows 8. Check the value that you enter. Definition of a value that is too small will take everything away and too high will explode things.

If the web pages should always be adjusted so you can watch the extension Default FullZoom Level or NoSquint .

To adjust the font size for the user interface, you can use the extension of theme font & size changer .

  • CS5 installs like English (International), but I want English (United States)

I bought CS5 in June of http://www.SoftwareMedia.com/ . Open my libraries predefined defaults to files instead of en_US en_US, and when I create a new documents they are created in British English, although I chose American English in my preferences. I am not sure, but I don't inadvertently choose English (International) to installation, my 1st?

I did a complete uninstall of CS5 and a reinstall, this time making sure to choose the language: English were that I could, but the problem persists. My menus all read in the English American (color is spelled the American way, etc.), but replacing, as soon as I get my serial number, the words ' English: International "are represented, and there is no place to change.

We bought 4 additional copies of the same provider at the same time, and those who have installed these copies are not having the same problem. What should I do to have my copy install as the English of the United States?

Some files preferably holds your previous value. You can try to search preferences and deleted. You can try to uninstall (disable all first to stay on the safe side). Then use the clean script: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html. Then check it twice:

    Go into Library/Preferences/AdobeSystems ditch this

Go to Library/Preferences / (ditch what you see there) and all the com.adobe. plists.

Come on in/Library/Application Support / ditch everything you see related to Adobe (Adobe, Adobe Systems, Adobe PDF).

The repetition on your library user, ~/Library/Application support ~/library/preferences folder.

You can now delete anything and everything about Adobe. Then you can re - install and re - activate. All in all an entertaining afternoon. Something I did recently to get CS 5.5 installed correctly.

  • When a link to open another application and firefox is closed, Firefox opens but the link does not work

I use Firefox on Mac OS 10.9.2, 29, this problem has occurred on the OS 10.8 ~ and various other versions of FF. I use 29 simply because I like it!

The problem: Firefox is configured as the default browser in all directions it is possible to set as the default value. However, when I click on a URL from any application and Firefox is closed, Firefox opens opens, my last session of navigation tabs start, but the link does not open. I must return to the application and click the link again. This only happens on Firefox. I can put any other default browser and it will open the link in a closed state.

This is happening to me, same, on Mac OS X 10.6.8 but only since I've upgraded to the latest version of Firefox, 32.0.1. I can click on a HTTP link in another application and Firefox becomes the active application, but it will not load a new tab for the link, as expected. Instead, it just sits there. I have to go back to the other application and click on the link a second time, during which point Firefox correctly open a new tab and load the destination URL.
