Firefox refuses to load Gmail. "Problem loading page".

Whenever I try to load Gmail I get this message: http://i.imgur.com/i7wNMrS.png

But when I go into private mode I can see Gmail without a problem. Is there any solution for this? I'm moving from my chrome buggy in Firefox, but if this cannot be fixed then I'll be back.

Hello

Try to clear your cookies and cache and then try to connect again.

  • History (or

(> History) > clear recent history

Or:
"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools (or

    > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

  • Tools (or

    > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

You can also try in Firefox Safe Mode to see if an extension might be causing the problem.

just updated to 13.0 Firefox on my mac last night (without plugins in order to not blame them!) ... the man his SLOW SLOW SLOW. Slow loading pages, slow to load and slow to open java (even more then before!) I have an i5 CPU and 8 GB of ram 1333 Mhz in my macbook pro... What is happening... seems that each new version is slower and slower!

P.S. I switched to chrome because of it... lightning quick in comparison, it works!

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

See "basic troubleshooting: a new profile:

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "tools > Modules > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from the old profile to the new profile, but make sure not to copy corrupted files.

Latest FF and XP Pro. 2.4 Ghz Celeron processor, 1 GB of RAM. FF will work for awhile then it will stop loading pages and say 'Stop' in the lower left corner of the screen. Sometimes I can refresh and the page loads, but 95 out of 100 times I can keep refreshing and it will say "stopped". Alternatively, the page will be partially load and then quit and say 'stop. You, me and many others (from discussions throughout the net) have this same problem. I had a few glances at Mozilla, take a look, they couldn't find a problem or a solution.

Here's what I found works - the problem arises on me when I upgraded to Firefox 3.63. 3.63 FF of uninstall and install 3.59. You can always download until the end of June or July I think.

My problems went away with 3.59. Seems to only affect users of Windows as Mac Firefox 3.63 works very well.

Found a few discussions pointing to ZoneAlarm Firewall time-out managers and some download tools. I have ZoneAlarm, so I don't think that was the cause, just another victim.

I wish Mozilla would pull the plug on 3.63, repackage as 3.64 3.59 and go back to the drawing board until they find out what is wrong.

  • I downloaded a Firefox security update today and now Firefox refuses to load any page on the web. What should I do?

Today, when opening Firefox, I was informed of a security and stability upgrade was available. I downloaded the upgrade.

As a result, I was unable to access my home page or any other page on the web.

Then I tried to download the latest version without uninstalling the existing version on my computer to avoid losing my favorites and bookmarks.

During the download process, I was informed that he had been interrupted, but clicking OK will continue.

I then started the installation wizard I was apparently successful.

However, I can access all pages on the web.

How can I recover the installation of Firefox that existed yesterday, before I downloaded the update?

  • Firefox does not load pages unless moves the mouse or keyboard is pressed

    Hello

I saw this problem listed several times before this post, but none of the solutions have helped me.

I am using Firefox for ages and the latest 3 updates or so were expose this problem. When I try to load a website, Firefox will start to takes me to the page and then hang. The circle in the tab will stop moving and it will stay there until I move the mouse or press a key on the keyboard. As long as the mouse moves permanently or the keyboard keys are pressed, the page will load very well. The same thing happens with YouTube. The video starts and then freeze unless the keyboard/mouse is moved. Firefox also has this problem when I try to download a file from a Web site. The download starts and then hang on until I move the mouse or press a button, then it will continue for a few seconds and hang on again until I repeat the movement of the mouse or press the keyboard button.

So far, I tried to update Firefox, Java and Flash; Starting Firefox in Safe Mode; uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox: do a complete uninstall and reinstall of Firefox with removing profile and creation. I ran ad next and malware detection with no infection found tools: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, SuperAntispyware, and AdwCleaner scan Microsoft security, Windows Defender, Spybot Search & Destroy, utility Kasperky free Security Scan and Anti-rootkit TDSSKiller.

The only thing I tried that 'seemed' to work was from Windows Mode safe mode with networking and run Firefox there. I was able to watch YouTube videos without freezing and websites seem to load properly. Of course, I can't run in Mode safe all the time.

I've attached a screenshot of what it looks like when Firefox crashes on Google News. Note that the images in part loading, but a good number of them is waiting or not loaded.

I hope someone can help me, because I like Firefox and I wouldn't switch to Chrome or (shudder) IE.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Thanks for the reply, but I found the solution.
Many answers forum suggest to change the network settings, but that does not work either.
The combination which solves the problem was to run "SuperAntiSpyware" who found a virus that Norton has not blocked. AND to uninstall and reinstall my copy of Norton 360.

  • Firefox does not load pages; GUI is messed up.

Since this morning, Firefox is really messed up. There seems to be some general interface problem. My toolbars have been rearranged and change for them, I can't open the pages when a dialog box opens the text is missing from the computer, etc..

I've just updated the BIOS of my computer last night, so that could be a factor. I have also two add-here-above update last time I ran Firefox. I want to disable them to see if they have the problem, but I can't really do anything in Firefox, so I can't disable anything. Is there a way to disable add-ins manually from outside the program? If I reinstall, is there a way to protect my favorites? My story seems to have disappeared already ("but I don't know if it's actually GONE or just don't show up").

  • get rid of "Firefox prevented this loading page."

I'm going to a URL and until I see what I see, I have to click "allow".

Hi davidaparker, the bar that appears between the regular toolbar area and the top of the page can refer to several different amenities, including plugins, redirections and pop up windows.

The most common problem seems to be that an accessibility function got accidentally switched on. To disable the block of redirection, you can use the Panel Advanced Options page:

"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > advanced

Under the mini general tab in the accessibility section, uncheck the box for "warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page.

    What is fix?

If not, could you check the wording of the message the next time and see what they are applying for?

  • Firefox blocks the loading of pages

    Hello

I spent 3 days in case of problems this and can not solve it. Firefox does not load pages, just get a gray circle spinning forever. No other message. I close firefox and restart it, it does not start because she is still ongoing in the background. The Task Manager will not close it. I have to restart the PC. I tried to remove the profiles of school boards, contributing for a few minutes, and then it crashes again. I tried to reinstall firefox and once again it works for a few minutes then nothing. I removed completely all the "appdata" and still no luck. New profile does not help.
I checked all the settings of firewall security, etc., and nothing helps. I tried safe mode and the problem persists. I have used firefox for years and now may be to walk away. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

  • FF goes through periods of refuse to load web pages

Since the last 7.0.1 update, Firefox repeatedly through periods of obstinancy. He started with a short time but now is quite persistent.

What is happening is that the web pages just refuse to load. Any page. FF is sitting there as it tries to connect, but it never does. FF restarting can sometimes coax brief connectivity for the tabs saved, but the refusal to load pages an almost immediate return.

Finally, FF comes out of his snit and I can browse normally for a few hours-but then, apropos of nothing, he'll go back to being themselves.

I am running Windows XP and CA Security Center Firewall. FF was going well until it update 7.0.1. Internet Explorer and other Internet programs work very well.

You can try to decrease the value of the pref Network.http.Max - connections from 255 to a more modest setting of 30 used in versions of Firefox 3.

To open the topic: config page, type Subject: config in the address bar (address) and press the 'Enter' key, as you type the url of a Web site to open a Web site.

If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access this page.

    • Use the filter at the top bar of the on: page config to more easily spot a preference.
    • Preferences that have changed also show "BOLD" (user set).
    • Preferences can be reset to the default value using the context menu if they are set of users
    • Preferences can be changed via the context menu: Edit (string or integer) or toggle (Boolean)

  • Mozilla Firefox 13.0.1 - Gmail works do not since the update

    Hello

I got an update for Mozilla Firefox over the weekend, and since then, he's not working 100% correctly. I have version 13.0.1

I use gmail, but now can't seem to log on. I can get to the page, log in no problem, but when I have my details it tries to connect but nothing that really happens (you can see 'connection... ("with the circle in the field title tab, it seems to be something, but nothing is really happening).

Sometimes I get «loading [email protected]...» "with the progress bar slot, but the bar stays clear all the time. I don't even get that much, sometimes it is on the login page, even if the connection circle moves, sometimes it changes just a blank page.

There was once when I got to the Inbox, but only the HTML version (you know one you get if you have a slow connection), but then I actually can't open my emails and eventually left the game. This has not happened since.

I also use another account with gmail for work (which we use by logging in via a portal on our website) and have been having a similar with this problem only that sometimes the pop-up that appears just pops up as a topic: blank tab.

Refresh the page (for an account) does not appear to have any effect.

I can work around the problem for now by using IE, but for a variety of reasons, I prefer to be able to use Firefox.

Is there a way to solve this? I looked here http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-problems-connecting-websites-after-updating?s=firefox+13.0.1+gmail+problems & r = 4 & e = you & as s = and updated my Windows Firewall put Mozilla in exceptional, but appears not to have made a difference.

This applies also to other Google stuff like the calendar.

I'm not having problems with other sites.

I use AVG for my anti-virus, but the Windows Firewall.

    Thank you

Hello loonyloo, thanks for the reports with the details of your system. Please enter Subject: config in the location bar, search for all the preferences that begin with network.http. and are set to a custom value (= in bold). Please, do a right-click and reset these settings - particularly network.http.keep - life must be set to true, so that the pages encrypted with google again to load normally.

  • Firefox stop loading pages; the problem is solved simply by restarting the browser

Seemingly random situations, Mozilla Firefox 42.0 on Windows 10 stops any type of loading page. Caution endlessly, any address spinning loading icon is tapped. This problem is solved only when I restart the browser (just by closing and opening this new patches).

Is there a reason for that to happen?

    Hello, everyone.

I'm sorry that it took me so long to revisit this issue.

It seems that the pain I was experiencing was caused by one of the two addons: roomy Bookmarks Toolbar and (BookmarksBar) hide (or) Show - Hide Bookmarks Toolbar (can't remember who it is because I have already deleted them).

It seems that one of them, or a combination of these addons caused problems of the no-load. Given that I removed these addons, it disappeared completely.

    Thank you for your help.
