Firefox - screen / text is distorted, magnified, inverted, regularized...
When ever I start FF the screen is distorted - on a slope, in fact. The text on the web pages will be expanded vertically, blackout curtains. The radio buttons will be moved from its position, but if I am lucky and drag the mouse all over where it should be, he will reappear and be functional.

Firefox screen blew up after update
After updating, the design, layout and the text of firefox "blew up." It is too big.
The only advice that I have always after the search has been trying to view > Zoom etc.,.
Only, this changed the screen I was and is returned after a change to a new page, open a new tab or restart firefox.
I need a permanent solution where the firefox screen is where it was before.
Amendments of the code regarding the HiDPI support high-resolution displays have landed at Firefox 22 and later (bug #844604).
You can change the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx and increase or decrease the value of 0.1 or 0.05 as follows to adjust the size of fonts and other elements in Firefox.
- The layout.css.devPixelsPerPx pref is a string parsed in float value and allows you to adjust the dimensions of all elements (user interface and web pages) specifically (resolution 0.1 or 0.05).
- Change the default value of-1 to 1 to make it work as in previous versions of Firefox (100%)
Start with a value of 1 and adjust this value with 0.1 or 0.05 for finer settings.
- Use values between 1.0 and around 0.5 to reduce the size of the items (do NOT go all the way to 0.05!)
- Use a value greater than 1.0 to grow and enlarge the elements (percentage divided by DPI, % / DPI).
EDIT by Chris_ilias: to summarize:
- In the address barof Firefox, type Subject: config , then press the Enter key.
If the "this might void your warranty!" warning appears, click on I'll be careful, I promise! to continue. - Search for the preference layout.css.devPixelsPerPx
- Double-click the entry and change its value of-1.0 and 1.0
(you can change this upward or downwards if necessary, for example, 1.1 to 0.9).
Note that the changes take effect immediately. To its default value, right-click the preference and select Reset.
If the web pages must be adjusted after changing this pref so you can watch the extension Default FullZoom Level or NoSquint.
- Default FullZoom Level: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/
- NoSquint: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/nosquint/
This extension allows to adjust the font size for the user interface:
- Theme font & size changer: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/theme-font-size-changer/

More frequently, when I open a web page, the text is distorted. If I place another window on the text or highlight, the distortion disappears. If I scroll the web page, the distortion will scroll with the text.
I have attached a picture. No one knows what it is or how I can fix this?

There isn't a "Blue Screen of Death", the site does not load and the Firefox screen becomes completely (without search left bars) tinted blue color that uses Windows 7. I'm guessing it's related to an add-on, but not sure. Here's a picture: http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x328/Deathtomyfoe/MozillaError.png
Hello Thomas_Hunt, can you try to start firefox in safe mode by pressing the SHIFT key during startup of this and see if the problem occurs there too? Maybe a theme or hardware acceleration intrudes here...
If safe mode does not work, you can try to disable hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > general and or disable addons that could cause the problem. It would also be interesting what graphics hardware (description of the adapter, driver date and version of the driver) you use - you can access this information in firefox > help > correct information to the bottom of this page... Thank you
edit: another user, we discovered that this could be related to malware, you could see if you have the same addons installed, remove/disable the & run a scan of your system with security software - see https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/940393#answer-377118

On earlier versions of Windows and Firefox, I get my internet favorites listed on the left side of my Firefox window.
All that seems to me to be able to do now is click the Firefox tab on the top left of the screen and select Bookmarks/unsorted bookmarks for a list, but it is not on my Firefox screen permanentlyIf you hold down Ctrl and the B button, you should see the menu of bookmarks appear on your left with all of your bookmarks and folders inside.

This may or may not have something to do with my installation and performance of PC Decrapifier & CCleaner on my desktop PC (I think it started happening before then today). Anyway, intermittently, the Firefox screen becomes too large to display all at once on my widescreen LCD, thus causing the tab bar to disappear on the top of the screen. If I move my mouse to the top edge of the screen, the tab bar appears again, but then disappears again after a while. The tab bar was now display the last few minutes, but I not did something to make it stay put. (I wonder if the Firefox screen is confused about knowledge if I use a 4 x 3 or 16 x 9 screen? Access the Internet & my email home from my work computer as well. the work computer has an old 4 x 3 (square) LCD monitor and use Windows XP (while my home computer using Windows 7).)
Make sure that you run not Firefox mode full screen (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Ctrl + Shift + F).
If you are in full screen view then hover over with the mouse upward to make the bar appear Navigation and tab bar.
You can click the maximize button in the upper right to leave the mode full screen or empty space of a right-click on a toolbar and use "exit full screen" or press F11.

Since the upgrade to 8.0, when navigation between screens, my computer screen becomes black for 1 second before the screen is redrawn. This happens regularly and is a major nuisance. It simulates a power failure. It does not happen with IE.
Here I answer to my problem: I upgraded my graphics card and the problem seems to have disappeared.

By default Firefox screen fonts distorted after the last update.
I got the update for Firefox 33.0.3 the other day, and since the 'default' screen fonts are not the same. Text various (on her "ask your question... ("support page I am on now, for example) a registration that is weak or appear"broken ". When I open the same page in Internet Explorer, it looks very good. Any ideas, please?
Hey, I found it... and fixed it! Windows has a feature called Clear of Type technology. Their description is a bit vague; of course, it's a kind of liaison between Windows and the graphics controller. Someone on another forum mentioned clear Type part of an independent issue, so in desperation I followed his instructions and found the "secret switch. Of course, it was transformed into 'off' (a "normative", actually), and once I lit it all now seems just the way it did a few days ago. My K & E 'Drafting Table green' always came not with Firefox, but it is normal; at least I can read the text now.

I had to downgrade to Firefox version 16.02 to solve this problem.
Since Firefox version 17 out there is a problem with the screen fonts not being re-written correctly when a background clear condition occurs in Windows is caused by an overlap of another application window or scrolling the active window in firefox.
If the text is highlighted using the right button of the mouse and then the text is correctly updated, just scroll up and down does not solve the problem.
Other versions of Firefox did not have his problem
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium and it is up to date to March 5, 2013
I can attach a JPEG screenshot if you can tell me how to send you JPEGs.

Update your drivers of hardware devices on web pages for the manufacturer of each hardware device support?
Tip: Get a updated driver you really need from the download page of the manufacturer of the device or the computer only, NEVER through Windows Update (i.e., hide the driver updates available through Windows Update).
