Firefox updated has a problem

Last week I updated my FF with the latest #48. I chose NORMAL installation and automatically installed an email toolbar. I couldn't stop the upgrade so I let go and opened the browser when it was complete. After you open the browser that I can watch the toolbar, didn't like it, routes taken up screen space. I uninstalled the toolbar email Windows Add/REMOVE PROGRAMS. Complete uninstall then I opened a FF browser and found the BOOKMARK bar white also the toolbar was now almost empty. GRRRrrr, all that work to make my path disappeared. I reinstalled my last working version known to 46.0b11 FF. Fortunately TOOLS and BOOKMARKS were back. . OK, that being said... Now a irritating demand constant pop - up to upgrade to ver - 48 became... irritating, I ask how to stop it. I have to wait that FF has fixed this problem before the upgrade to the next version. . FYI for Mozilla: I didn't want the email toolbar. I don't want a toolbar, toolbars irritating my slow CPU. PAALEASE have CHECK BOXES during the initial installation, so WE KNOW what is happening before it turns on. FM

BOOKMARKS and my missing toolbar is changed.

It is not normal that the bookmarks appear and disappear. Could you do a reset on your layout of the toolbar control. There is a 'Restore defaults' button on the bottom line of the Customize tab. See: Customize Firefox commands, buttons, and toolbars.

Also OPEN the MENU icon does not open. I have to go through the MENU toolbar - TOOLS to open it.
.. .. ADDRESS BAR button REFRESH does not work. (REFRESH PAGE right click does not work)

Could test you mode without failure of Firefox? In Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily disables extensions, hardware acceleration, and a few other advanced features to help you determine if they are at the origin of the problem.

Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

  • button '3-bar' menu > '? ' button > restart with disabled modules
  • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

and OK reboot.

Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

Any improvement?

Click any shortcut URL, do not work, the vacuum-page web as screenshot.

Do you mean a shortcut on the desktop or favorite Windows (that is, not a link or a bookmark in Firefox itself)? Your home page is set to the blank page? That would be consistent with a problem in the registry parameter to pass the URL in Firefox.
