First gen Apple TV is no longer recognized by iTunes

My first generation Apple TV no longer appears in iTunes, now that I've upgraded to a 27 "iMac with El Capitan. I got my ID password and Apple in Apple TV, look for the software updates (not available, running 3.02) and allowed the iMac with the iTunes store. I had no problem with my previous iMac running Yosemite - iTunes recognize my iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. Since I use the Apple TV to watch the photos transferred from my iMac, it creates a major problem. Any help would be welcome.

Find a similar thread on this issue, which contained this link on iTunes 12 - 12 iTunes for Mac: play the items in your library iTunes using Apple TV (1st generation) -j' have my Apple TV related to iTunes on my iMac, but apparently only on a continuous basis, as indicated in the iTunes preferences and no ability to sync appearing for the ATV. Curiously, Apple TV on iTunes 12 shows pictures only, no movies, tv shows, etc. Apple TV shows two copies of my library, with the same name, one of the with a related emblem. My Apple TV does not appear in iTunes (not the latest version) on my MacBook Air Yosemite running. So I guess my glass is half full, but I want to be in sync, rather than flow, all my content.

  • iPhone 6 s is no longer syncing with iTunes

    Hello

My 6 s iPhone is no longer recognized by iTunes (and so no synchronization or backup). I use the latest versions of iOs and iTunes on Windows 10. This problem started occurring after that I installed the VPN software on my PC, I deleted since.

When I go into iTunes-> Preferences, under the "Sharing" and "Devices" tabs, it says: "the Bonjour service has been disabled. Hello is required to play music via AirPlay speakers and use the iPhone and iPod Touch remote. Please enable the service to use these features. »

-Re-installed iTunes, update the software Apple, Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support, Hello

    -Restart all Apple applications services

Anyone? I tried another installation of iTunes and Apple software, but iTunes still does not recognize my iPhone... Kind of feeling of despair.

  • Apple Watch first Gen does not start

    Hi all.

My first gen Watch just died yesterday. I tried the advice of Jonathan UK, I read the advice from Apple. No luck. Does anyone have another idea until I bring it...?

    Thank you

    Rikard

    Hello

Try restarting your watch force: hold down the side button and the digital Crown for about 10 seconds, until you see the logo.

If this does not help, then try to charge your watch for about 2 hours, making sure that you follow the instructions from here:

After this period, if it has not already restarted automatically, remove it from the charger and:

    • Try restarting it (by pressing the side button until you see the Apple logo).
    • If necessary, then try force it restarts again.

If the problem persists then, I suggest you contact Apple Support (mail service may be available) or make a Genius Bar reservation in order to have your watch checked and, if recommended by Apple, served (if under warranty, if it qualifies, or via paid repairs):

To check your warranty status (the serial number is on the back of your watch):

  • Replacement of the first Gen nano with? ...

I send you my Nano first Gen. in the replacement program, someone here can tell me what Nano I could get replacement?... I'm assuming that they no longer have the nano first generation... I just want to know. No one at Apple can tell me, I want to be happy with what I get. Online, I have seen that some get the Gen 7 and some gen 6 (which I'm not a fan of the world). It would be nice to be able to choose because I paid for the original.

For some time, they have been replaced with either a gray or silver 7th generation Nano.

  • 1st gen Apple Watch, OS3, workout card routing

After updating my 1st Gen Apple Watch to OS3, I started a workout. He asked me to put my iPhone along for the calibration. I ended up taking a 4km walk, and after I saved a workout I noticed that in the summary of the workout he captured a map of my route to market together.

I repeated the same 4km walk with the same way the next day and the following days (still wearing my iPhone) but is no longer provides a map of the route I took. No settings have been changed since the day 1 (e.g., location services, data enabled, etc.).

    Thoughts?

My works fine as long as the iPhone captures GPS. Try going in to the workout on the activity of the app on the phone, check the time in the outdoor market, make sure it's your name and place an arrow of tracking. If this is not the case, try to repair your watch. and you check location setting on the phone too when you have the route that you will have time as well!

  • Apple TV remote turns on randomly 4th Gen Apple TV

    Hi guys,.

I have a 4th gen Apple TV for Christmas at work. It's pretty convenient, but it's a very weird thing: the remote control sends signals randomly when nobody is in contact with it, in fact, nobody is there, everyone is metres from the remote control. Since Apple TV is connected to my TV which is capable of HDMI-CEC, it also turns on the TV. Sometimes without any model, when we sit in the corner opposite of the same room, or at random times of the day or even at night. Sometimes I go out in the middle of the night to check on our little girl and I see that the TV is on. Apple TV will switch to standby after a certain time, but since it does not send SIGNAL to the TV via CEC, the TV stays on. Sometimes I stop the movie I'm watching something and when I come back, film runs and minutes. This causes me a real headache, not to mention that it also adds the power bills, especially when we leave for a weekend and I come home that the TV is on...

Did any of you ever heard, or it's a faulty remote with a contact problem around the buttons that need to be replaced? If the first case, how can I fix this, if the latter, will change any Apple retailer for me? There is no Apple store dedicated to Christchurch, New Zealand. My employer has ordered hundreds of Apple TV Online.

    Thank you

    Laz

I don't have to assume that someone else uses one of the old silver remotes close to Apple TV or if someone could play a joke on you with a distance more or the Apple remote on their phone app.

There was a small number of reports related to the buttons on the remote apparently stick and sending several times the same command, but I don't think I've seen all the reports to work intermittently on his own.

I've seen reports where network activity has awoken from previous models, but never where this kind of activity began a movie plays when he suspended.

I think that a good start in the resolution of what is going on here is to know if these red orders arrive via bluetooth, IR, or wifi, you could start by covering the unit to the rule (or in) re.

  • Installation of XP is no longer recognized by the Setup disk after Format of Partition

    Hey all,.

In short, my problem is that I have an installation of XP (home or professional) intact windows, but after deleting another partition, the computer does not start to it. My question is what are all the things needed for a computer can be started on the windows partition - even just to the loading screen (which files are needed on the partition, for example boot.ini file, which must be in the MBR, how to mark a partition as bootable; etc.). Here is a description of exactly what has happened and what is the current situation:

I was working on a friend's computer, and he asked me to delete the partition that it has not been used (D) and melt in his primary partition (C) where was the installation of Windows. I used a program called Easeus to format the partition for Windows let me to merge. The program asks for a restart, and then it is initialized to a screen where he deleted the partition, then restarted once again, probably to load Windows.

That's where the trouble starts. Instead of windows, I have nothing else than a cursor flashing ("_") in the upper left of the screen. After 60 seconds, nothing was. I rebooted a couple of times, still no windows.

The first thing I tried was to throw the disc to reinstall the window. I got to the screen configuration and supported on entry to choose a windows installation to repair, however he could not find one on the drive C (or D). I then tried to install Windows on drive D, hoping at least to be able to access the files on your computer with a parallel installation and then clean things later, but the installation struck a BSOD (sorry I don't have the message). The last thing I tried using the recovery console, but the only one installation of Windows that he found was on the D drive (I guess it was the remains of the failed installation that I had tried just because it contained only a few system files).

So I still need an operating system to access the files on the C drive, so I did an installation of Fedora Linux (on a small new partition in drive D). I could check on the files and they were all intact, including the Windows system files. I could not find anything wrong with the partition, except for the apparent absence of a file boot.ini on drive C. I tried to add a boot.ini file by default (even though I wasn't sure exactly what should be in it). I can only assume that when my friend had the computer built with partition by a local technology company, they did the D drive partition bootable, but put the Windows files on the C drive. It makes no sense, but I can't find any other reason format another partition that windows would make it unbootable.

The problem is, now, I have GRUB installed to Fedora. GRUB cannot boot directly on Windows, so he has to begin on an another bootloader that can. I think I have GRUB pointing to the right partition, but I get an error message. So, what I want to know from a point of view of Windows is everything necessary for a successful boot, assuming I can get GRUB to work on his end. What should a healthy Windows boot look - exactly, what should happen?

The other option, of course, must do a fresh install of Windows on drive C (and hope for no BSOD more). I could put all the files on the partition of Fedora and move them back after the relocation. So what you think - is it worth a try even to save the current installation of Windows?

Feel free to ask questions or for clarification. I have a limited capacity to test things, I have to wait until I can get to his computer. Your help is very appreciated!

  • My Maxtor Basics portable storage is no longer recognized by my laptop

I then removed the usb and tried again and the device was no longer recognized. I have since tried to get my laptop to recognize but hopeless... There are thousands of photos and music and University work on this unit!

    Help

    Kayleigh

The case holding the Maxtor no longer works or the Maxtor drive itself is a failure. Your first step is to contact their technical support.

    http://www.Seagate.com/www/en-us/support/

It is a perfect illustration of the reason why you cannot rely only on an external hard drive for backup. You have to burn to DVD - R on occasion or using a service like Mozy offsite backup. Hard drives are mechanical devices, and like any other mechanical device, they can fail.

If Maxtor (Seagate) tech support determines that your hard drive has failed, you can still get the data on it, but only by sending the drive to a professional data recovery company. I use Drive Savers for my clients, but there are others. Professional data recovery is quite expensive, running with an average of about 2700 $ $500-$3500. • 4th gen Apple tv doesn't remember connection

I bought a 4th gen Apple tv to replace my 2nd generation it about 3 months ago. My girlfriend and I have a id iTunes and one account and both are set up on the new Apple TV. On the older, we could switch between his ID and mine, based on content, we wanted to see (each of buy us our TV shows or movies). With the 4th gen ATV, it requires the password whenever we change my account to hers, and vice versa. How can I configure the ATV to remember (not required) our passwords each time we have ID?

Maybe it's not possible, see https://help.apple.com/appletv/#/atvb0753b37d. Family sharing might work, but their 'parent' allows you to pay for everything.
