  I installed both of them using the standalone installer which.

  I finally solved my problem with the update kb2756872 ("update failed, returning of changes"). It was caused by the reserved partition Windows is not set to active (I dual boot using GRUB). Go to the Control Panel-> administrative tools control->-> computer managementdisk management and make sure that the reserved partition is marked 'Active'. This also solves many other problems I experienced as not able to activate Windows startup settings.

  I'm working on a project which has already published without problem. Now when I post (no settings have been changed as I remember) the first slide flashes on the screen and then disappears, and there is nothing--no bar playback, no sound, just a white screen.

  I tried Flash 9 and 10, full screen and full screen no, preloader and outside, AutoPlay, and outside, and it is always set to 30 frames per second.

  I tried to create a new empty project and paste slides in and which did not help. There are only 38 slides (29 with audio), and ~ 16Mbs.
