first song of media player

I have media player 11. She arranges my albums and songs after moving from the first song of each album in the album and it relists as an unknown artist. My albums are on a mobile hard drive.

More details needed. Not too sure which is your concern. If it is question WMP or albums.

  • Rename the songs in Media Player 11

Does anyone know how to rename all the songs in my library? At the present time, they are a mixture of "Song title", "Artist - song title" and "artist - title song - Album". Because I have the same songs from different albums, I want to be able to rename all my songs as "song title - Album". I put my RIP titles in this format but I have more 3 500 songs and no way to pull them UP everything again. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi EsieB,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forums.

The research we did we do not believe there is a way to rename all the songs in your playlist at any given time.

    Name and store titles

If you have an Internet connection, Windows Media Player will automatically connect to the database of Windows Media online and get all the information are available on the CD. If it cannot connect to the internet, the titles will be saved with that unknown information, and you will not be able to know who is who.

You can avoid this by manually adding the necessary information before starting the extraction. Right-click on the corresponding columns and select Edit to change the information. You can select what information to be provided by the files by clicking on the arrow below Rip, selecting more Options, then press the button of file name.

The files are saved by default in the folder music of the current user. If you want to save in a different location, click the arrow below Rip, select other Options, click Edit and select the desired path.

    Rename already extracted files

If you have some ripped albums that do not have the correct information, you can have Windows Media Player rename them. Click the arrow below the play button and select other Options. Go to the Library tab and check rename music files using parameters of music and rip the music to reorganize in rip music folder, using rip music settings. The first option renames the files by using the file name Options settings, and the other creates new folders using the retrieved information from windowsmedia.com.

  • 5 seconds before the end of each song, windows media player freezes about 1-2 seconds

    Hello

I'm having this problem with Windows Media Player. I use WMP12 to play songs in MP3 format. Just before each channel ends, approx. ~ 5 seconds before the end of each song, for example, the media player seems pauses / freezes for 1-1.5 seconds. The freeze/pause is defintiely not intentional - the gel looks as if WMP is having a problem reading from a file.

I searched but not solution yet discovered. I have turned on SRS WOW. I don't see as a problem because otherwise the songs play fine - disablying SRS WOW is not what you can call the problem. In addition, the reason why WMP stands out for me is its SRS WOW. If I'm not going to need SRS WOW, so I guess use VLC/MediaPlayerClassic, for example.

Please help me. Thank you. The gel all spoils!

UPDATE: I think it is about 5-10 seconds before the end of each song, the freeze occurs. I just had a.

Yes, you can try to uninstall the current driver first.

If this does not help, I suggest you check out the real manufacturer of the sound card. If the sound card is not made by Samsung, then it is possible that you will find newer drivers on the website of the real manufacturer.

  • Songs in Media Player with 0 bytes data?

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and have recently noticed a small quirk in my Windows Media Player 12. About a quarter of my song list have titles that appear as size of 0 bytes, and yet they continue to play very well. Is this a bug? I can't find one any correlation between songs, it seems completely random, some songs, I ripped out other CD I bought and downloaded. Tried to run the update that says I'm up-to-date, tried restarting my PC, etc., but the affected songs are always displayed as 0 bytes.

    I had a look and found the thread you mentioned... .This is a great and simple solution, so I'll requote it here;

Credited to the original contributor - Music_Fan

I was just struck with that as well.  In my case, it happens when I RIP with EAC while WMP is open.  I guess that WMP is trying to read the information on the file while EAC always creates the WMA file.

My MIRACLE solution that avoids to rebuild the entire library and lose the game relies on other files, along with files FLAC and other data not stored in the actual music files:

    Short version:

    ---------------

With WMP open, send files to the Recycle Bin, wait a bit and undo the deletion.

    Detailed instructions:

    -----------------------

    (1) in WMP, go to an album folder which includes 0-byte files

    2) right click on the file and select "open file location".

    (3) in the opened Windows Explorer window, select the files that are rated as a size 0 in WMP

    (4) select "Delete" (recycling).  Do not select NO 'delete permanently '.

    (5) in WMP, wait for the file to disappear

    (6) in Windows Explorer, make a 'Cancel' (type Ctrl-Z)

The file will reappear in WMP with the appropriate size.

I hope this helps some out there!

Let me emphasize that by opening the location of the file... If you remove WMP or Explorer library - you will screw up your wmp library! -All this thanks Music_Fan - R

  • Can I move or send my songs on Media Player?

  • How to delete songs in media player duplicate?

I saw an answers on how prevention, but that did not help me.

In WMP, please enable the column path, right click on a column heading (for example, title) and select choose columns.

So now you take two duplicate songs and compare their paths, are the same or different paths? If they are different, what are the exact paths?

  • Location of the song lose Windows media player

Every month or two, whenever I try to play a few songs, Windows Media Player will give me an error saying it can't find the file. I have not moved one of my songs and I know exactly which folder it is in and how to get there. The most annoying part is that there is only a 50% chance that it will still add the song to the library. Rarely, it will give me the option to find. I made the mistake to click once on 'remove these items from the library' and he has deleted nearly a quarter of my songs. I tried to rebuild the library by removing the AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media record player and it did not help.

    Hello

As you tried to rebuild the library Windows Media Player (WMP) and still the problem persists, you can now try uninstalling and reinstalling WMP and see if that makes a difference.

    Steps to follow:

    a. click the Start button, select Control Panel, click programs and then click turn on turn Windows features on or off. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    b. click on media features, uncheck Windows media Player uninstall and click ok.
    c. restart the computer, follow the same procedure and control Windows media Player to install.

  • Windows Media Player won't find the files on the second hard drive

Hi hope you can help with this.

I have Windows 7 and Windows Media Player 12 on my PC.

My office has two hard drives, one for the operating system and all programs and another larger (drive J:\) for all my files.

All my audio files are stored in the J:\Audio folder, and this folder is also the default location for my music library (such as configured in Windows and WMP).

When I load WMP files in J:\Audio are not displayed in the music library.

If I right click on music > manage a music library and then manually delete the J:\ from the list of library locations, and then re-add it, WMP adds all the files to the library (a process that takes about 20 minutes).

BUT if I close WMP and re - open again, these files are missing once again.

It seems that WMP has a blind spot of my second hard drive.

Any suggestions for what I can do to remedy this?

    Thank you very much!

    Neil.

Well, I think I found a solution for me at least.

There is an answer on this thread who has contributed to:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-pictures/songs-do-not-appear-in-the-Windows-Media-Player/a6e80b2e-7367-4529-9dab-5a38ba4167a5?page=5

This is the fifth detention by djkel.

    This is a summary:

To resolve this problem, delete the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. exit Windows Media Player.
    2. click on start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.
    3. Select all the files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.
Note you don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.
    4. restart Windows Media Player.

One of the files that I had to delete not able to be removed first because "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service" was used. I was able to follow the steps on this page to temporarily stop the service and allow the file to be deleted:

    http://www.mydigitallife.info/how-to-disable-Windows-7-Media-Player-network-sharing-service-wmpnetwk/

Then when I have opened WMP 12 database has been repopulated with my files... and all files remain when the 12 WPM has been closed and then reopened. I hope it's a permanent fix.

Not sure if this will help your problem, Jeff, but I hope that.

    Neil.

  • Strange problem with Toshiba Express Media Player on Satellite M115-S3094

I am facing a strange problem in my Toshiba M115-S3094, which has been pre-installed with Windows XP Media Center edition and which also had the Toshiba Express Media Player.

I had already done a clean install of Vista on it, and then I decided to go back to XP with my recovery DVDs. I did the same procedures of first installation Express Media Player to backup (that I did when I bought the laptop) and then installing Windows XP DVD de Toshiba Recovery XP.

    The steps included:
1 deleted recovery Express media player disk partitions
    2. installed express media player
3 extracted Xp Recovery DVD, by selecting 'Recover without changing the Partitions' (there is no expert mode)

Everything was fine (i.e. installation)... But now, after the turning off my laptop I press the Express Media Center button, the logo "Express Media Player" appears on the screen after loading of closures of laptop for 5 seconds.

I tried to open it again and again, but the logo is displayed for 5 seconds and then my laptop stop...

Laptop works fine when I connect to windows by pressing the power button / stop.

Can someone help me on this strange question... ?

    Hello

The whole story is a bit confusing
First of all, I would like to know if your laptop is already preinstalled with the Media Express Player and if you were able to use it on your laptop in the past.

    Now something about the Express Media Player installation;
In order to use the media functions Express the Mediaplayer Express Recovery CD must be performed before performing the recovery from the recovery DVD-ROM products.

In addition, on the HARD drive should at least 150-200 MB of free space available.
This free space must be on the end of the HARD drive and there must be unallocated. To get these free space on party products 3rd HARD drive should be used as Partitions Magic 8.

I m not 100% sure that on error ID system badly but maybe it corresponds to the DMI evil information stored on the motherboard. If we're not DMI, you will not be able to reinstall Express Media player using the recovery media express CD.
In the DMI must be set properly the manufacturing: Toshiba, product name: for example by Satellite M115-S30

Finally and most importantly, I found this thread useful forum on the Media Express recovery procedure:
