Windows XP Version 2002 Media Center Edition Service Pack 3 running very slow on Dell desktop
Very slow system Dell desktop for quite awhile. It was "suggested" that the system is corrupt and OS reinstall may be necessary. Cannot change system settings and make them 'hold', for example "show the hidden files and folders" under Display/Options files will not be applied. Other things to try before wiping clean system and starting with delivery complete?

I would like to load three ServicePack but I am running windows xp pro version 2002
I want to upgrade the service pack, but im running windows xp version 2002
If you are running a service pack, then you might start to update your Windows and install SP1 and SP2 first and then you could install Service Pack 3.
You might try Windows Update to get all the update and Service Pack or you can call Microsoft Support and give you the CD of it.

Please could you help me that I am not the most until no one date when irt comes to this. my daughter has a windows xp version 2002 and I can't connect to internet, I know that the computer is dated but I'd like to update the computer, is it possible to download the updates on your part on my computer and transfer bu using a USB
Hello
The short answer is almost certainly yes.
In order to better inform that we will need information from you...
What is the brand, the range and the model of your PC (or card mother brand and model if a custom build)?
What service pack are you in?
- Hold down the Windows (between Ctrl and Alt) key and press Pause break
- Examine what is listed in the system: section on your service pack level
Is there any device listed in Device Manager problem?
- Click Start
- Click on run
- Type devmgmt.msc and press enter
- Search for devices in "Other devices" and devices marked with exclamation point (!) and let us know what they are
Furthermore, we are not Microsoft, just a collection of individuals from all over the world who can help people like you solve their PC problems.

Re-installing XP level CD Version 2002 to a replacement hard drive
My Dell machine had Windows Me is installed. Updated for XP Home Edition Version 2002 several years ago. Hard drive is now failed and I want to replace it. When I install the new hard drive, do I have to install me first and then the XP upgrade? I have the original CD for both versions and also the product keys.
If you are CERTAIN that the ME disk is actually a disk of Microsoft and not a Dell recovery CD, then you can install XP without having to install me. At some point in the installation process, you will be asked to insert the eligible prodict (CD ME). Do so and follow the instructions. My OS is Windows XP Professional version 2002 service pack 3
Spooler subsystem app has encountered a problem and needs to close.
Spoolsv.exe - application error
the instruction at "0 x 00300000" referfenced «0 x 00300000» memory the memory could not be "read". Click ok to complete the program, click Cancel to debug the program. When I try to manually restart the print spooler, I get the error message:

URL:RES://c:\Windows\System32\mmcndmgr.dll/views.htmI tried all the fix it you suggestions on the site of MS (by removing printers, printers spool, drivers, driver files, editing the registry...) Still the same problem resurfaced. I even downloaded a registry cleaner to give a shot and no progress. The only thing that I have not been able to do is, log in Safe Mode, because doing the newspaper in tells me that my password/login is incorrect (also a great mystery)
I also ran all the fix for me programs offered - no. RESULTSI am extremely frustrated, I should share the printer and try another brand. Who count? Help, please
Hello Demars_will,
Thank you for your message. There are a few known bugs for this problem. Try these two steps:
Try first to this step:
Put your XP CD in the CD drive.
Click "Start" > click "Run" > Type EXPAND/r 'TheCDDriveLetter' \i386\SPOOLSV. EXE C:\Windows\System32 and press "Enter."
Click "Start" > click "Run" > type SPOOLSV. EXE/install and press "Enter."Click 'Start' > right click on 'My computer' > select 'manage '.
Click the (+) sign next to Services and Applications, under Select 'Services '.
On the right, locate and double-click "Print Spooler" > auto value startup > select 'Start' > click 'Apply and OK.A test to see if the spooler has begun.
If this is not the case, click HERE for a registry change that may solve your problem. There are a few different registry changes, I don't know if you have tried this one or not.
Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.

While the installation of Microsoft DirectX 9.0 c on my Windows XP Home Edition (Version 2002) operating system (not sure if the 2002 version in it's original state included SP1), EULA (EULA) provided the contract included a paragraph stating that "ONLY in regards to THE VIRTUAL MACHINE MICROSOFT FOR JAVA, YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED to INSTALL THIS OS COMPONENT ON A MACHINE THAT CONTAINS A ALREADY the VERSION OF THE MICROSOFT JAVA VIRTUAL MACHINE". Assuming that the MSJVM was included with Windows XP Home Edition (Version 2002), I advanced and accepted the EULA. I then downloaded and installed Windows XP SP2 and SP3, but wasn't sure whether SP2 and SP3 removed the MSJVM in any point. However, research on the question, I discovered the site "FAQ of Transition MSJVM" (updated May 7, 2004), who answered the question: ' if I install Windows XP SP1a or later, it will remove my current MSJVM? " with "No, the operating system upgrade will not remove a MSJVM existing on the computer" (http://www.microsoft.com/about/legal/en/us/interoperability/java/faq.aspx). However, I can't find any instance of it on my computer.
So my questions are:
- Windows XP Home (Version 2002) Edition include SP1?
- The MSJVM is installed on this version?
- SP2 or SP3 removes the MSJVM in any point to?
