Fix valid security or phishing?
Last night (5/14) when I stopped my XP computer I got the shield of security code and the message not to shut down the computer as it would thus automatically after updates have been installed. Since it was assumed no updates for XP any more I was afraid it was a false update and he just wanted me to keep my computer for nefarious reasons. I stopped him before the 'updates' have been completed. Updates were real and if I can be confident that future events can be trusted?
It was probably the monthly Malicious Software Removal Tool. See this thread--> http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-windows_update/microsoft-xp-support/99364ec9-a047-4b0a-bf50-0dbdd6097c72
Configure automatic updates for download updates for me, but let me choose when to install them or Notify but don't automatically download me or install. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306525
In this way, when you see the shield of the notification, you can check what the update before installing it.

Hi, I work with Umoja, an application that uses the citrix receiver. I use it to work with windows computers, but now and then I also access my mac home. All of a sudden (not sure what happened, really!) I started to get this message: you have not chosen to approve "COMODO RSA organization Validation Secure Server CA", the issuer of server security you can tell me exactly what I need to do? I tried to add the certificate as a result of Keychain some instructions I found on the internet, but it does not work, I'm not even sure that I managed to do. I would be very grateful if someone could help me solve this problem.

Why the upgrade to removed 12.1.0.2 fix listener security COST
Hoping someone can explain to me why the database upgrade from 11g to 12 c (with the help of the program DBUA) removed my earphone COST security settings. The plan is to add the security COST return patch. I do not understand why it changed the value of "LOCAL_LISTENER" init.ora at 'LISTENER_SID' remove my fixed COST value. He also added a corresponding 'LISTENER_SID' entry in the tnsnames file.
Thank you for taking my question! Kathie

How can I fix the security alerts: MS10-017, MS10-029, MS10-038, MS10-056

Cannot install the fix for security for Windows 8 (KB2909210)
I tried dozens of times to install the latest updates of Windows 8 to my computer and nothing works. My computer refuses to install with the Windows automatic update. Whenever I try, I get a message that says no: 'No update available,' with a bar of green on the side, as if everything is OK.
THEN, the Windows Update window updates and even once, I get a yellow shield, exclamation mark in the middle and a message that says I still have 38 updates important to install and 2 in option. So I decide that very well, since it refuses to work, why not go to the Download Center and try to install each patch or update individually and manually. For example, I went to the download page manual for upgrading security in the title of this message, KB2909210 - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=41800. I select English and click on 'Download' and following the instructions. A new window opens (I use Firefox) and it asks me if I want to open the file with the stand-alone Installer Windows Update (default) or save the file. If I choose to open the file directly from this point or save it first and then open it with the WUSI, I receive a new message, the red giant 'X' well displayed prominently, which says "Windows Update Standalone Installer" in large blue text below, "the update is not applicable to your computer."
POPPYCOCK! This specific update was listed when I tried to use the automatic feature of Windows Update in Control Panel. As I said earlier, I tried several times to install it in this way, but he refused to install. Also fails the manual route through the Download Center. Apparently, there are updates of security to 2012 (!) who do not and will not be installed.
Help! I already did a restore of the system more than a month after my hard drive has been corrupted. I made then a system reset to start over with what I thought would be a totally clean machine. Now, it seems that my hard disk is permanently damaged. Therefore, Windows refuses to properly update and patch up many vulnerabilities and security flaws. I'm tired of this. Help me to redo my computer safe and trustworthy!

accept invalid server security certificates in Android 4 +.
Hello
I have an AIR application that calls a script https on a server. We have a security certificate valid server on our live server, but not on our development servers.
Everything works fine on the server, with Android and iOS.
On development, with Android 2.2/2.3 servers, an alert appears on my phone asking me to accept the invalid security certificate before I can continue. It is very good.
I don't get the pop-up with 4 Android devices. Just to do not and gives me an actionscript 2032 Stream error every time. However, the same apk on a device Android 2.2/2.3 oldest still works.
AIR iOS apps were never allowed to call scripts from server without a valid security certificate. I raised this issue in the forum of pre-release flash and said it was a known problem. Can someone confirm if this is the case with the 4 Android devices now too?
Thank you
Nick
Seems fixed in AIR3.7.

Video Crash XP since the security update
Given that the fix of security some weeks previously, whenever I try to watch a video my computer freezes and then the screen loses any signal and turns off. The computer still works and I have to close hard. There is no error message is displayed and no blue screen of death. Running the solution for Windows XP freezing / crash video or IE does not help and can't find any problems. Any thoughts?
You could try to go to the site of the manufacturer and update your video/graphic card drivers.

x 201: installation of Windows 7 SP1 removes KB2292867 (fix)
Is there any way to get KB2292867 back on the computer files after the installation of Service Pack 1 for Windows 7?
I noticed a performance increase huge boot after the application KB2292867, which lasted for about 4 days. After 4 days, I installed Service Pack 1 for Windows 7, and startup performance are returned at the time of pre KB2292867.
Hi BigBossMan,
The 2292867 hotfix are included in service pack 1, so when you try to install this patch which is for Windows 7 without SP1, you will see the dialogbox "update is not applicable to your computer". In other words, no need to install this fix, as part of SP1.
To see the list of fixes and security updates in SP1, you can download the "Hotfixes and security updates" document included in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1.xls using the link below.
Why you experience slow start after installing SP1 I don't know, but seems to be linked to something because this hotfix is included in SP1. I don't see any problem of slow start on my computer after the installation of SP1.

(your current security setting does not allow this file to download)
How to fix my security settings to not have the phrase your settings current security do not allow this file to download and stop from popping up whenever I want to download on the internet. I tried to change it to medium-high security also, failing, but there is no idea of work.any?
See: http://www.itsolutionskb.com/2010/04/your-current-security-settings-do-not-allow-this-file-to-be-downloaded/ Microsoft Security MVP, 2004-2010
DISM creates a log (% windir%/Logs/CBS/CBS.log) file that captures any issues that the tool found or fixed. %windir%\System32 is the folder in which Windows is installed. For example, the %windir%\System32 folder is C:\Windows.
