  Well, Adobe did have a program that gave Free Flash Builder for students & teachers, but apparently he was interrupted - sorry!

  I think that VB was confused by call you 'Windows Mobile', such as Windows Mobile is MS is obsolete, abandoned Mobile OS for the era pre-iPhone with a stylus and all that, I guess that you probably meant 'Windows Phone' / Windows 8 Metro UI / RT of Windows, the new iPhone, as MS Mobile OS.

• Removal of Flash Builder 4.5 installing Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP

  There is a very serious mistake with the Flash Builder 4.5 to install PHP (of http://static.zend.com/topics/Flash-Builder-for-PHP-4.5.0-Release-Notes.txt ):

  If Flash Builder 4.5 (not PHP) is already installed on the machine, and the 
    product (Flash Builder for PHP 4.5) is then installed in a different location, 
    the user gets the "FB is installed" dialog.
    After clicking OK, the installation rolls back and removes both Flash Builder
    and Flash Builder for PHP.

  My questions:

  Can Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP be installed in the same location without deleting Flash Builder 4.5? If so, please define 'location '.

  Is there a work around for installing the two flavors of Flash Builder 4.5 and avoiding the issue of the above deletion?

  Can be a single version of do-it-all of Flash Builder 4.5 install that combines the features of these two flavors of the SDK and Flash Builder 4.5 product?

  Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP includes the exact version of Flash Builder 4.5. We do not allow facilities side by side of Flash Builder 4.5 and Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP, you need to uninstall Flash Builder 4.5 before installing Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP. The error message you see is that we have not detected FB 4.5 earlier in the installation process, but after you close the dialog box you should just be able to run the FBPHP installation program once again without a problem.

  I have problems with Flash Builder for PHP 4.6 and the Playbook Air SDK 2.0. It worked fine with the Air SDK 1 Playbook, but for 2.0 he moved not (error integration with Flash Builder) and when I try to update in Flash builder I get an error of missing requirements. Flash builder 4.6 works fine with the PlayBook SDK, but not the PHP version. I bought the PHP version after the end of my trial of 4.6 so I could build an app that tied in the server services and to think that both versions are the same.

  Its really good to hear that FB 4.5 came with the support of the Apple iOS. My curiosity, I tried to download the latest version of FB 4.5 test and create a mobile application sample, but to my surprise 'Platform Apple' was not in "Flex Mobile new Project Wizard of" and does not appear under "Actionscript project", can someone there help me in craeting a project mobile flex for iOS?

• Flash Builder 4.6 for mobile: one app for IPhone and Ipad? Or separate the 2 apps?

  Can I create a simple application that loads different viewNavigators etc. depending on the size of the target device screen, or should I be looking at developing 2 different applications, one for the other for smart phones and tablets?

  For example on the shelves, we could use SplitViewNavigator and then on smart phone that we could use a series of theses or tab navigator or something more suited to the small screen.

• Don't Flash Builder 4.7 problem - no platform BB

  Hi, I installed the FB 4.7 on my PC.

  I downloaded the SDK of AIR in BB Site and installed.

  I tried to create a project, but there are only two platforms listed, it's to say, iOS and Android and no BB it.

  Anyone faced the same problem before? 0o0o

  I use Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 for my Blackberry 10 development, although I use Macbook would highlight, but I also had FB4.7 installed on the PC. It is quiet easy to install BB Developer tools on PC.

  1. first of all, you must run FB4.7 with administrative control.

  2. in your IDE FB4.7 Menu, click help-> install BB 10 publication support or install new software-> type "Blackberry" next to work with, now, you will see the option of ' Blackberry plugin for Flash Builder 4.7... '-> option-> check on BB OS Support checkbox statement select 10, press 'Next' then finished once installed.

  3. restart your Flash Builder and try to create the new project Mobile AS3 or Flex Mobile, you will see Blackberry option along with two others.

  Note: BB 10.1 and before, support Adobe AIR version 3.1 only so make sure that you have not superimposed latest version of Adobe AIR in your Flash Builder.

  Initially, I wanted to ask a question, but after trying to find information on when FB 4.5 will be communicated, I came across a little information.  I hope someone rim reads this.

  Can anyone confirm if the final FB 4.5 will allow the use of design with the libraries of qnx?  It has been said in this post, he does.

  While I was trying to find that out I came across this little nugget on Adobe 4.5 FAQ:

  Flash Builder 4.5 now requires AIR 2.6 for mobile applications. RIM plans to deliver an over-the-air update for AIR 2.6 later in 2011, allowing developers to then use Flash Builder 4.5 for PlayBook application development. This means that developers will be able to recompile applications built for Android at that time for deployment to the BlackBerry PlayBook.

  I am mainly interested in can quickly access my screens with actionscript, mxml and design mode and use or C++ for complicated stuff.  Currently the design mode does not work and I'd rather not have to wrap each qnx component that I want to use so it will work even in mxml.

  Currently, we have not shared a release date for future updates to the runtime LOOK on the PlayBook. I can tell you that we are working on it well.

  Hi Adobe - we have a few lingering unanswered questions in the Flash Builder forum.

  I am looking for a download link for Flash Builder 4.7 - for the non-CC version.

  OR

  Creative cloud version will work with my Flash Builder Premium of 4.7 serial number and do I just install it through the creative process of cloud?  I really don't want to go creative cloud at the moment - but I don't know if it's the same file in Flash Builder 4.7 anyway and as soon as I put my serial number, it will take me off creative cloud.

  So... looking for a download link for Flash Builder 4.7 for the serial number of my non creative cloud.

  Thanks kglad.  I ended up going with just the installer of creative cloud - which is very nice!  He installed Flash Builder 4.7 and then it was the trial version - so the next time I opened it, it gave an option to add a serial number - I did and it worked.  So I think we're good!

  We (the company) buy Adobe products now more than 6-7 years. We bought the Flash builder 4.5 premium and premium Flash builder 4.5 for volume PHP license. Now flash builder 4.7 should be complementary upgrade for us. But when we are using the trial version of Flash builder 4.7 and addition of serial number (serial number of Flash builder 4.5), it is simply not working and showing an error "the key is not valid.

  I chat with Adobe customer care 4 different people, they find themselves saying that we transfer you volume license Department and then chat on sale. No message chat more, I checked over an hour and still no message.

  So I called, it took 15 minutes to communicate with the service the customer. I chose the option 'upgrade' from the menu of the phone and then connected with a guy. After listening full case he passed my call to the Executive of license Volume and of the Executive of license volume transferred to another guy and the other guy to some person capacit¨¦s redirect. So in total 4 guys. The last guy (specialized) called Rohit.

  Rohit guy asked me, I buy a customer support program (some product on $2.nn.00)? I said no, we purchased volume licenses for Flash builder 4.5 premium (subject to $4000.00 *). He said, sorry Sir I can't help you in this area, but I can provide you with an e-mail address and you can report your concern here. I already spent my 1.5 hour in this conversation. I said okie. He gave me a case number and told me that he will send an email stating that the e-mail address in my application I have to unplug the phone.

  I never get this email address.

  Can someone suggest me what to do next. Is my file number: 209-788-274.

• Flash Builder 4.6 closes after opening

  I have been using Flash Builder 4.6 for some time now to develop android applications. This morning I try to start it and Flash Builder would open the splash screen and close silently. I renamed the old workspace, but it created a new workspace and closed again in silence. I tried to rename metadata file, Flash Builder recreated a new metadata file and closes again. I tried to follow these instructions http://agileui.blogspot.com/2009/09/flashbuilder-4-silently-fails-while.html but I get an error that

  Gumbo.exe is not recognized as internal or command external, an executable program or batch file.

  So guys please help me, it's very frustrating fight against something that gives no error. I use windows 7. Thanks in advance
