Flash CS3 9.0 - flukey problem playing FLV files

It made me go buggy. My project has 10 different frames with labels and FLV files. I created simple actionscript (2.0) to STOP at the label, which will play the FLV file. When I test my scene, among the FLV files played in one frame labels, others do not work. When I replace it with another FLV within the framework that's not working, no problem. But when I try FLV in a setting different, it does not work. No difference in the ActionScript with the exception of the name of the label.

To add to the confusion, when I copy the frame that works, it works very well - I can even replace all FLV files, but then the original one, I copied works is no longer. (Names in part changed, of course, to avoid duplication)

It's also clear that I can describe it. Does anyone have an idea what is happening?

Ok. My bad. I had forgotten to put a for each component.

Hope this helps (in case someone else out there is a dummy like me...)

    Hello

    You can change some values in the registry. To do this, copy / paste the following text in Notepad, save it as a MP3WAVRecent.reg file and double-click this file to add it to the registry database:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\WMP11. AssocFile.MP3]
    "EditFlags" = hex: 00, 00, 01, 00

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\WMP11. AssocFile.WAV]
    "EditFlags" = hex: 00, 00, 01, 00

    Note that plus save recently used for the Jumplist instead of frequently used must be checked in the Options of WMP - player, as well as the music at the bottom of life private tab.
    Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. Thank you

    Hello

    Have you installed a third-party codec pack?

    Windows Media Player cannot play the FLV files. You will need a third party FLV player to play these files or you will need to install the latest codecs pack
    on your computer. If installing plugin ffshow did not help, then try searching the Internet for the codec pack.

    Check this link for more information:

    Note: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly.

    Hello daninwyo, welcome.

    FLV (Flash content), which is based on the web, is not supported in Windows Media Player. You have to find a third party codec package that supports flash or try a different media player on the internet.

    You can try this:

  • . FLV files play VERY fast

    I have some flash video files on my computer and when I try to play them in windows media player they play faster than normal. Literally, it looks that I viewed an episode of Alvin and the Chipmunks. However, if I convert the .avi file, it plays at normal speeds.

    Note the file itself is not formatted to play too fast because it indicates the duration of the moving video to like 4 seconds every second.

    Hello

    If I understand correctly the .flv files played back at a very fast speed in Media Player.

    I'll try and help you get the problem solved. Please provide us with some information before you begin troubleshooting.

    1. is the specific question of .flv files?

    2. Since when are you facing the issue?

    3. do you have an antivirus installed on the computer?

    Try to play the files in another drive and check. If he plays well, then Windows Media Player does not have the necessary codecs to play .flv files. You can also go through the steps from the link and check if it helps.

    If the problem is specific to .flv files, you may need to contact the manufacturer of the program for known problems.

    Hope this information was helpful and let us know if you need more assistance. We will be happy to help you.

  • FLV file does not start or play

    Hello

    New brand of strobe, watched a few vids you turn everything off and downloaded the StrobeMediaPlayback_1.5.1 - full.zip.  Setup.htm to create a code... my flv was encoded with Sorenson Squeeze 4.1 using the Spark Pro codec... I copied the file StrobeMediaPlayback.swf in my file on my computer (local test) source put the flv file in there too... made sure paths have been set correctly... when I run the web page (locally) for the test, I see the player load but when I hit play I have error "we have problems with playback. Excuse us... »

    So I built my own device player using Flash MX 2004 (I know this is an old version) and put this player in the same place and my flv file will play with this drive, but not the strobe light... am I missing something?  Is it supposed to be more the files copied to the source than just StrobeMediaPlayback.swf folder?  Strobe not play flv files encoded with the Spark Pro codec... I think these are the h.263?  Any help would be great... Thank you.

    Hello

    SMP was designed to read files from a URL. If you tested it on your file system, providing the source would work as expected.

    definition in the verbose = true flashvars will give you a more detailed error message.

    My recommendation is to host both the video file and the player on a local web server and play or debug from there.

  • Difficulty playing FLV in the Media components

    I use Flash MX Professional 2004
    I use Camtasia and Flash video exporter to convert AVI to FLV video
    I struggled to get the component MediaPlayback to play my FLV files. It is supposed to be easy and the instructions seem simple, but it does not work normally. That one of my FLV files will play. However that you will play only if I use a relative URL in the components Inspector. Absolutions URLS do not work. I created 6 files from this one and not play any if the URL is relative or absolute. What is the secret? What knids of things in FLV format conversion would cause it to not play? Y at - it something I have to do in Flash to make the component compatible with FLV files. That I have to work just looks dumb luck. Help, please...

    I solved my problem. The solution was a combination of two things. First of all, I use Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6.0. Appearantly IIS 6.0 needs a little help for good stream Flash video. The solution is:

    1. On the Windows 2003 server, open Internet Information Services Manager.
    2. Expand the server to the Local computer.
    3. Right click on the server to the local computer, and then select Properties.
    4. Select the MIME Types tab.
    5. Click on the new... and enter the following information:
      • Associated Extension:. FLV
      • MIME Type box: flv-application/octet-stream
    6. Click Ok.
    7. Restart the World Wide Web publishing service.

    This solution was found here http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_19439
    The second problem was that the video would not play when I tested it in Flash MX 2004. I found that once the film was released, I could then test it with success within the Flash.

  • FLV files do not play loading with PHP

    Hi, I am building a website using PHP to load subpages, etc. in the index.php page.

    with DW CS4, I have problems with FLV files located on these subpages. they just appear.

    I think it has something with the paths to do but he cannot know.

    the url is http://www.onion-Berlin.com/test

    everything works on the cover page (the film is loaded on a page of mustavuori.php).

    But if you go to the page of film/mustavuori, the film is not load correctly.

    any ideas?

    Another thing that concerns me since the beginning:
    What is the meaning of the flash id (in the first line of code)?

    It is used by the swfobject JavaScript and is being implemented in line 78 to http://www.onion-berlin.com/test/ . Which is normally inserted at the bottom of a page.

    on this page, the logo is a small flash file, and it has the same exact id.

    You should never have two identical pieces of identification on a page. One of them give a different id and add a line to this JavaScript. But now you have a bunch of redundant stuff downstairs. I scan all the code on this page, but the lines of swfobject.registerObject () should correspond to the codes provided in the object/embed codes.

    in the same place in the head section of the actual file.

    and copy the section of the code in the body of starting with and including...

  • Strange problem with interpolation of motion in Flash CS3

    Hey guys,.

    Got a weird problem with the motion tween.

    Im making kind of slideshow for my project; Assume that each image is a single slide.  all managers have eventlisteners for

    KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN event .  like this example:

    -------------------------------------------------------

    import flash.events.KeyboardEvent;

    stage.addEventListener (KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN, KeyPressed);

    function KeyPressed (e:KeyboardEvent): void
    {
    If (e.keyCode is Keyboard.RIGHT)

    {gotoAndPlay ("Menu5")

    }

    }

    ------------------------------------------------------

    So whenever I click on the arrow to the right on the keyboard, it accesses the next slide, it worked perfectly until I created an image with interpolation of movement on this issue.

    It's simple box that moves from left to right and stops, as context menu.   This new framework has completely no excluding actionscript stop();  command is not to go to the next slide himself.  So here's the weird part: when I press right arrow button on this framework, the motion tween rereads itself!  strange right?

    I can not it, why he plays again this left to right tween?  If I create a new empty project and copy this movieclip box and test again once - nothing happens. Looks like actionscript from the previous image is somehow interfering with this image.

    Any help is greatly aprecciated,

    I am using FLash CS3 and actionscript 3.0.

    Also, I downloaded the slide show, it is advisable to see yourslef. (labeled frame Menu5 is governing with box on this subject)

    all the headphones on your keyboard are active, unless you delete them.  the only reason why you do not see yet more problems is because event listeners are run in the order that you created them so only the last goto is seen onstage (but they all run).

    to remedy this, on all them use your keyframes:

    import flash.events.KeyboardEvent;

    stage.addEventListener(KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN, KeyPressed);

    function KeyPressed (e:KeyboardEvent):void
    {
        if (e.keyCode == Keyboard.RIGHT)
    stage.removeEventListener(KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN, KeyPressed);
        { gotoAndPlay("Menu5")

        }

    }
