• Some mp3 files play VERY SLOWLY?

  Third day with my new rocket.

  Several files that have played very well on my old e260 now playing what seems to be the speed of about 1/3.  Sounds like when a record 78 used to be played at 33 RPM.

  I checked IDtags, flow rate, sampling, etc. and everything is identical to the other cuts that are not problematic.

  I got a file that will appear briefly on the screen and then instantly the "rocket" bump to the next song.  It would be not all just play.  I tried to rename.  That did not work.  I deleted then it opens it draws on my hard drive, re-edited the file in WavePad and registered directly at the "rocket".

  Now, he's playing, but at the speed of 1/3.

  So far, I have 3 saved by using WavePad tunes that display this behavior.  Among hundreds of others who are not.

  The known issues for the present?

  Update: back to WavePad and re - register as 256 Kbps CBR instead of my typical CBR 192 and he's playing very well now.

  If you haven't already done so, first thing I would check is to look under settings-> Audiobook Options-> speed and make sure it says 'Normal', not fasting.

• Flash CS3 9.0 - flukey problem playing FLV files

  It made me go buggy. My project has 10 different frames with labels and FLV files. I created simple actionscript (2.0) to STOP at the label, which will play the FLV file. When I test my scene, among the FLV files played in one frame labels, others do not work. When I replace it with another FLV within the framework that's not working, no problem. But when I try FLV in a setting different, it does not work. No difference in the ActionScript with the exception of the name of the label.
  
  To add to the confusion, when I copy the frame that works, it works very well - I can even replace all FLV files, but then the original one, I copied works is no longer. (Names in part changed, of course, to avoid duplication)
  
  It's also clear that I can describe it. Does anyone have an idea what is happening?

  HY, I'm loading 3 files flv so that the first file is read once and the other two loop later. Now I'm interested is it possible to position the FLVs on the stage for some contact information when they start playing (so for example that the first flv plays as a default in the Center, the second flv file plays a little right and the third a bit left cheek). This is the code I use:

• FLV clips play locally, not web play

  Meeting in 1 hour and Captivate with the customer has allowed us to throw together a quick lesson module.
  
  We have added 4 clips video flv for 4 days in the program. All played great when it is off a computer, laptop, the same CD. But since our server the lesson of Captivate stop playing when the first slide appears containing a flv. We tried all the setting changes, tried to export more small flv frame rate changes, bandwidth changes, and he will not play again. Strange, it seems to play without problem in the FireFox browser. Question can be somehow in Internet Explorer via a server. But plays well in internet explorer on a local computer.

  1. are you able to play the other mpegs successfully?
  2. what version of Windows Media Player do you use?

  I suspect that the file is corrupted.

  Method 1.
  Check if you can play the same video in a different media player.

  Method 2.
  You may need to check if the codecs work very well to play the file. Check if you have installed third party codecs. Uninstall them and re - install and then check.

  Have you installed a third-party codec pack?

  Windows Media Player cannot play the FLV files. You will need a third party FLV player to play these files or you will need to install the latest codecs pack

  New brand of strobe, watched a few vids you turn everything off and downloaded the StrobeMediaPlayback_1.5.1 - full.zip.  Setup.htm to create a code... my flv was encoded with Sorenson Squeeze 4.1 using the Spark Pro codec... I copied the file StrobeMediaPlayback.swf in my file on my computer (local test) source put the flv file in there too... made sure paths have been set correctly... when I run the web page (locally) for the test, I see the player load but when I hit play I have error "we have problems with playback. Excuse us... »

  So I built my own device player using Flash MX 2004 (I know this is an old version) and put this player in the same place and my flv file will play with this drive, but not the strobe light... am I missing something?  Is it supposed to be more the files copied to the source than just StrobeMediaPlayback.swf folder?  Strobe not play flv files encoded with the Spark Pro codec... I think these are the h.263?  Any help would be great... Thank you.

  SMP was designed to read files from a URL. If you tested it on your file system, providing the source would work as expected.

  definition in the verbose = true flashvars will give you a more detailed error message.

  My recommendation is to host both the video file and the player on a local web server and play or debug from there.

• Very short audio file plays do not.

  Hi all.

  I have a slide where there is an image that collapses with an effect toward the Center. At the time of the collapse, I have a short (0.5 s) sound file of a shutter of the camera who plays at the same time.

  Then go to the next slide where there is another image that extends from Central, collapses, and then with the same sound in the next slide and so on and so forth.

  Initially, I created this in CP5 and everything worked fine.

  So, my client decided they wanted something different, so I deleted the sound and did what they wanted.

  I then upgraded to CP5.5.

  They decided they wanted to return as originally built.

  I have re-imported the audio file and replaced it in the guides as needed.

  If I play the slide using the space bar the sound plays very well.

  
  If I saw with F4, F8, F10 or F12 I can hear without the camera shutter. But all other sounds in the product work very well.

  I'm a bit confused!

  I created a new project and plonked the audio file in a new slide and it works fine using the F keys.
