Flash file disappears on JavaScript function call in Internet Explorer

I'm not sure what's going on, and I tried for several days to fix this problem. I don't know much about how to solve this problem, apart from the fact that the bug exists. In IE6 (under Windows 98SE, 2000 and XP), the flash file disappears when I make a call to a JavaScript function. I am currently using the JavaScript gateway, but it also shows this behavior when I use getURL("javascript:"). I use SWFObject, but it still happens when I put the < OBJECT > and < EMBED > tags in manually. He has not started to do this until about a week ago. Does anyone have an idea of what is happening and how can I fix? The link to my page is: www.SeeMySites.net/index.php?flash=true. Currently, I have Flash enabled for non - IE browsers.

Never mind - I found out what the problem is. This is the latest version of SWFObject. Once I have reverted to an earlier version, the problem disappeared. Now to go warn the creator... I returned to 1.4.2 (from 1.4.4).

  • I have adobe flash 10.2 installed on my computer via internet explorer, can I install flash plugin through firefox browser

I installed the firefox browser, but it will not display farmville. Do I need to install the flash plugin in the browser firefox or internet explore. I have already adobe flash player installed through Web browser to explore.

There are 2 versions of Flash:

    • the ActiveX for IE version only (see: [ActiveX])
    • the version of the plugin for Firefox and other browsers, except IE

You need to update/install both if you use IE and any other browser. See the instructions below.

    1. To update or install the Flash plugin for the latest version.

      • Download and SAVE to your desktop, so you can find the Setup program later
      • If you do not have the current version, click on the "Player Download Center" link on the 'download and information' or 'Download manual installers' below
      • Once the download is complete, exit Firefox
      • Click on the installer, you just download and install
        • Windows 7 and Vista: will need to right click on the installer and choose 'run as administrator '.
      • Launch Firefox and recheck your version or up to the download link below to test the installation
      • Download and information: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
        • Use Firefox to go to the site above to update the Firefox plugin (will also install the plugin for most other browsers, except IE)
        • Use IE to go to the site above to update the ActiveX to IE
      • Download manual installers.

If the above has solved the problem, please go back to this answer and click on the button 'Resolved' next to this response. Thank you.

  • Try to install the latest version of Flash for Firefox on Windows XP, get the Internet Explorer Script error

I am trying to install the latest version of Flash (file install_flashplayer11x32_mssd_aih.exe), browser = Firefox 14 (current), OS = Windows XP.  I tried several times, making sure to disable Norton Antivirus Autoprotect first.

At some point throughout the process - while downloading or during Assembly - I get the following error message:

    Internet Explorer Script error

    Line: 1

    Char: 10010

    Error: 'ActionLaunchAdobe' is not defined

By the advice of the site, I uninstalled Flash in order to restart costs. This means that, instead of having an outdated Flash version, I now none.

  • All of a sudden all the toolbars disappeared. they are still working on internet explore

It just started. I start firefox, and it opens with none of the toolbars. The only way I can close it is to go to Task Manager. I can not access any bookmarks or anything else. I tried to open in safe mode starting with the depresed key space. Also tried to accesses using the ALT key. No luck

  • JavaScript partially unabled in Internet Explorer

    Hi people,

I don't know if you can help me with this because it seems to be fairly accurate, but maybe someone has an idea.

I use the pugin for twitter "bootstrap" modal dialog, such as recommended by someone in this forum. The dialog box is used several times in my application. So far the development in Firefox, all right. But now for some mysterious reason, on 2 pages dialog box does not appear in Internet Explorer, on the first work testpage althou. Strangely, in IE also the action menu for an interactive report is not displayed on this page, but on another, it is still. I guess, that there is one more a problem of javascript and IE, not of the Startup dialog box. What could have happened, that on one page, js does not entirely in IE but only the alert-popup standard and standard js confirm boxes are?

I have create a montage similar here. The modal appears from a dynamic action after refreshing the page, to spend on itemvalues. (I know, a bit complicated, this solution. I'm working on a better. But still...)
Here its also works in Internet Explorer. So what could I have messed up on our server the does not work in Internet Explorer?

Would it also a problem with a model of older theme? I use "Simple Green - No. 14" and APEX 4.0.2.
Or is that what the dynamic actions must special gifts in IE?

That's a lot for any comment or advice.
    Concerning
    Tobi

EDIT: there is also another problem that go in the same direction:
    (1) I change depending on the selection in the report, the name of a column heading so that it shows 'Customer number', 'Number of device', etc.. What I also do with dynamit action before the updating of this report. His work in Mozilla, its does not work in Internet Explorer...
    (2) with the input Textfield AutoComplete doenst work under IE... :( Any idea?

Well well, in good ol' ' IE8 (Abdelaziz), when the page has finished loading, but contains javascript errors, you will see a yellow warning down icon on the left, on the status bar. In any case, run your page, open the developer console, go to the script and enable debugging. You'll quickly see if there is any javascript errors!
