Flash Forms

I have trouble getting the Flash forms to display anything on the page. I was getting a JavaScript error and adds a mapping virtual CFIDE directory and this error message is now gone, however nothing appears. I have a more advanced form, that I'm trying to get on with the job, but for now I'm just working on getting something very simple to display so I can move on from there. Any thoughts on what may be turned off?

It is also a question on IIS 6.

  • Using cfselect onBlur to reload the page using a Flash form

I can't try to get < cfselect onBlur = "" > to work inside a < cfform format = "flash" > using Flash. As soon as I put any value in quotes, the Flash form no longer appears.

CFSELECT does not support the onblur. But why would you use that? A selection control does not "fuzzy" when you change the value. You can use onchange.

  • CF Flash Forms

I have built a few Flash forms in Dreamweaver, and they support only with the space key, I can't find how to use the Enter key to submit the forms? One is a very simple search with a "submit" button, and I think users will probably want to just type and press ENTER to the way they would with a regular shape.

Also the button submit in some forms is in a formgroup (hbox) under a few other fields and it is aligned to the left, while the other fields are even more. I tried to set a left margin, but covering only the button. What is the best way to position?

We use MX 7 and I installed Flash 8 player.

    Any ideas?

I had the form to render. I had a syntax (misspelling) for a parentcolumn I associate with the two cfinputs.

Jim, the control current simply by clicking on it. This has nothing to do with the error.

reya276, my page has been fixed by the correct spelling, but the addition of the Panel around the tabnavigator was a nice design improvement. Thank you.

ComboBox is really only intended for single selection, such as radio buttons.
What you are after is the List component. :)

  • Problem from hidden using the Flash form fields

I work with Flash forms for the first time and have problems to pass information in hidden fields. The information was passed on from previous pages, and I'm unable to verify this is to form flash page. However a CFDUMP on the action page shows flash fields but not those hidden.

I pasted a copy of the code below.

He solved. :) Flash forms do not allow a combination of inputs and CFINPUTs.

  • Flash forms do not show in ColdFusion 8

I do not get the display of < cfform format = "flash" in a new installation of ColdFusion 8 on Windows 2003 server. Is there some additional software or mime parameter that needs to be done to display the output of .cfswf apparent?

Thank you Ian for your suggestion check the mapping to CFIDE. I checked and on our ColdFusion 6.1 server, CFIDE is a virtual directory on all areas. But on this new installation of ColdFusion 8, CFIDE was only a virtual directory for the default Web Site. Once I created a CFIDE virtual directory for the domain I was testing the Flash code therefore forms worked. I wonder why the installation of new outfits to occur manually.

The complete solution also appears to require the changes described in the TechNote mentioned previously:

    http://KB.Adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=ebd0cbe3&sliceId=1

UPDATE: the above suggested changes include changing a setting in order to preserve the generated Flash. However, which allows these files generated with random file names to keep piling up in the web directory. So I changed it to the default value false and the Flash form code still works. So, as far as I can see, we can skip changing the flex-config. XML from false to true in the code:

  • CF8 - Flash forms do not work

    Hello
I am running CF on an IIS server.
I upgraded from CF7 to CF8 and all is well except the flash forms.
The watch of form but the data never comes. The clock (mouse) continue in the round...
In the docs, I found these two changes to the XML files:

    Inetpub\wwwroot\WEB-INF\gateway-config. XML

    I deleted the line comments:

    coldfusion.flash.adapter.CFWSAdapter < adapter > < / adapter >

    and in the file:
    Inetpub\wwwroot\WEB-INF\flex\services-config. XML
    I changed to:
    "" < endpoint uri = ' http://localhost: 80/flex2gateway / '

    What I'm missing here?
    Any idea?
    Thank you
    b.

No need to be hasty. Java and .NET have problems that they own. Your site is already in Coldfusion. A bird in hand and all that.

I've asked you three times if you copied everything on Inetpub/wwwroot, but you have not yet told. I would also like to reconfigure IIS. Follow the steps in this dip on configuring IIS for Coldfusion

  • Send a Flash form to email address

I've created a beautiful Flash form which is very beautiful, but I need to be able to send the values of the fields or a copy of the completed form to an e-mail address, when the user clicks the submit button. Can someone point me to a tutorial or provide assistance. I searched for hours.
    It's my form tag...
    < cfform method = "post" action = "mailto:[email protected]" name = "contactTJG" preservedata = "yes" preloader = "true" format = "flash" height = "400" width = "500" skin = "halosilver" timeout = "10" >
    It's my submit button label...
    < cfinput type = "submit" name = "BtnSubmit" value = "Submit" >
I feel like I'm missing a piece that will collect the fields, then a function to make the button work but I have no idea how to do it.
    Thank you

    Thank you. This works.

Of course now they decided to store the responses in a database. Laughing out loud.

  • Troubleshooting the flash forms

    Hello

I have only two flash forms on a site that I have good enough clone for different regions in a youth soccer league. It creates a new user account and other updates account informaiton. The new user page is quite simple (as I could rewrite without flash if I needed). The problem is, I have two versions of this page that are identical or nearly identical to a third version, all on the same server. Two of them work. The third doesn't.

If I visit the page in Internet Explorer, I get the full page where the flash form is supposed to start. The javascript error box will appear shortly in the corner of IE, and it says:

    Online: 185:
    Char: 1
    Error: Object EXPECTED

If I visit it to opera (latest version), I get: a big plugin box that says that the plugin is not installed, and clicking on the box takes me to the installer of shockwave, even if flash does all the work at the Opera House on the site.

It seems to me that a syntax error in the form would cause this, but I haven't changed anything on the page - the only thing different about this version of the form is that it lives within a table-heavy page layout (which I do) while the others all live inside the CSS layouts. I don't see how it would make a difference however.

If you want to see for yourself, go to:

http://www.brooklynayso.NET/new-user.cfm and put in an email address, then submit. If you see a new screen of the user on the next page, well, it works fine. :)

It is Win2k3 completely up to date with CFMX 7.0.2 running on a server. My apologies if this has been answered elsewhere - I could not find in a quick search.

    Thank you!

  • Need help with a flash form

    Hello

    I have a customer who would like a form like this, http://www.plus.approvedprintingcompanies.co.UK/UK/questionnaire6/UK-companies.aspx?gclid= CI_ku7L5850CFU0B4wodDDjIIw #

I guess it is Flash, I really know a bit about Dreamweaver and have managed to design a site with this. I don't know anything about Flash, although I have the program. I am able to easily create a form similar to this one, and then apply it in Dreamweaver?

I know how to create a form in dreamweaver and then once that he argued, it is sent to an e-mail address. But this form looks like it is in individual pages, or it works in the same way?

Can someone tell me if I can create something like this and place in dreamweaver? And there at - it a tutorial that I can use?

This form is not a Flash design.  I can't tell you how to design, but you can look at the source code of the page to see it.

  • Format of flash FORM - you are looking for a book

I think building a CF site based on Flash. I've been testing and reading messages on the net. Seems that a production quality site will require ActionScript, lots of it.

Should I look at ActionScript books or books CF?

You can try to learn from here (and watch for the famous problem of 32K):

Just a little advice and perhaps you already know that the access speed to form flash is quite slow. If your users don't have fast internet connection, maybe you have to change your mind using flash cf. If you have an external site, maybe you can try to compile a module FTP flash, cf module to your external site and test the access speed. If the speed is ok with you, you can continue on what you are doing.

I did a lot of sites cf flash based for my internal applications only. But for my external (internet) sites, I still prefer using the html form for CF. Because my audience have really fast internet connection.

  • Flash form disappears

We use CFForm and CFCalendar. Format of CFForm Flash, using the skin for simple halo.

Recently, arrested form flash elements appearing in the form in our development and QA environment, however, they work fine specific local developer machines running.

My first thought was that I needed a crossdomain.xml, however, I wasn't able to get that make all the difference. We use local DNS to drive our various environments (domain.dev = dev server). The code is sitting there in the browser, if you view the source, you see the attached code.

As always, ideas and a help appreciated.

This phenomenon was linked to changes, we have also been working on IIS and CF 404 error handling.
