  Hi all

  I get the following message if poster when you use edit in Photoshop with Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 Lightroom:

  "Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, please reinstall the application.

  Its been working fairly recently and the two applications are installed through Creative Cloud on Mac Pro OS X Yosemite running.

  I tried the obvious uninstall and reinstall both applications (via the application of CC).

  Can anyone help please?

  Now fixed.  Through finder went to the image, click right and choose file open with Photoshop CC 2014.  Mac, and then gave a message says ha changed location to I want to move.  Replied Yes.  Lightroom rebooted and all was good.

  Once you have added a sticky note, right-click and choose Properties from the context menu. Click the general tab and enter the new name in the author text box.

  If you want all future sticky notes to bear this name, select use the default properties and then click OK.

  Have you shut down / turning your Mac off... power off the USB drive... Connect the drive to the Mac... start up the Mac... then, turn on the USB drive?

  If no help, there are a number of posts to the thread in the forum El Capitan of support from users who have problems on their Mac USB.  You can post there to see if anyone has the answers.

• User presets reset when I edit in Photoshop

  Here's my workflow.
  
  

  Import photos into Lightroom.
  Click Edit photo in Photoshop (Cmd-E)
  Work on the photo

  Save and close
  Make adjustments in Lightroom.

  If I need to re - edit the photo in Photoshop, I open from Lightroom, save it in Photoshop, then close it... All of a sudden, all the adjustments in lightroom, I did go away. It goes back to the original.

  I can go back in history and click on the last change I made, and he comes back... but it's very annoying.  All the solutions to this?

  I duplicated just this problem myself. And Rikk Flohr - CM, Yes, if you click on the highest works, all changes in return. When you return to the departure to LR after choosing Edit in Photoshop, then choosing "Edit Original", then saving it from Photoshop, there is no history selected in the Panel State historic (normally the highest State would have pointed out).

  This seems to be a bug? I noticed this back in LR6 but forgotten and have not experienced since then with this.

  I currently use Photoshop CS3 and really didn't want to spend at this time (long story don't ask) I think the purchase of 6 Lightroom and I see that the manual for the LR6 indicates that it will work with the CS3 version. Does anyone has experiences using this combination? Thank you.

  No reason it should not work.

  The option "Edit in Photoshop" - function will be limited, but it'll work. All features requires the ACR plugin in Photoshop to be at the same version level. You lose also some other ' Open as... ". "- features in Photoshop that also require corresponding versions.

  But the basic features - editing in Lightroom and send the result ended up in Photoshop - work.

  Disclaimer clause - like Jitendra I have not really tried.

• Problem of "Edit with Photoshop..."

  I can perform is no longer the button "Edit with command of Photshop CC (2014) on my laptop. '. When I click on Edit with PS, it launch PS but nothing happens. I did run the dialog box that lets you choose to edit a copy with LR etc corrections. All other plugins work well (NIK, OnOne etc.).

  The operation works very well on my desktop and I can't find any different setting on the other.

  Mavericks running on the retina MBP and iMac with all the updates. Subscription of photographer running on two machines. My catalog is in dropbox, but I have all the image files on an external drive that I have each connected to. It is not a synchronization problem - there is no conflict catalogues etc of the arrangement of dropbox.

  If I had to guess, I have a kind of feeling that it is a problem of ACR... in fact, it must be. I wrote that, I decided to try editing a jpg in PS file and that worked well.

  But I don't have the problem at a time. RAF and. NEF files...

  I guess I could try a manual install of the latest version of ACR, but would like to know if this can be done manually with the new subscription system Adobe?

• First Elements 9 can be used simultaneously with Photoshop Elements 8?

  Currently, I have a computer with photoshop elements 8 and elements 8 installed first.

  Unfortunately, the program first elements 8 does not recognize my camera Sony Cybershot video output.  However, one of first items 9.

  If I buy and install the first Elements 9, it will be inegrate with organizer and with Photoshop Elements 8 is the same way the first Elements 8?

  Or it will create 2 organizing separate programs or other compatibility issues?

  Two versions of the software will create two organizing catalogs separated, and you will not be able to export 8 Organizer (slideshows) projects to first Elements 9. But, apart from that, as DurbsLab says, they must live with no problems on the same hard disk.

  Choose the option 'Make with Lightroom' as we would say that your version of PS is equipped with a cab card in that is not the current ACR8.6. Or update PS at latest.

  I'm trying to familiarize myself with Photos after years of using Windows. I'm an amateur photographer and editing my photos using Photoshop Elements. After downloading the pictures from my camera, they appear as they should, but after their change in PE, Photos show them as not edited or broken in two vignettes and openness. Other programs show the form published as expected.

  Is there a way to make the Photos to display images in the edited form? Now, it is very difficult to remember what pictures are published and which are not.

  What do you mean edited? What file format are these pictures? PSD?

• LineChart works not when using Flex with joint & amp; JBoss

  This is my first use of Flex with JBOSS Seam and I tried the incorporation of LineCharts Flex with seam on helloworld.mxml. I get this compile error when trying to compile/deploy JBOSS task. I was able to get other parts like the Label, Button, TextInput working. Single line graphs or Bar seems to have problem with the compilation.

  I used GraniteDS earlier and it did not work.
  Now, I tried to use BlazeDS and it seems to work fine. Atleast bringing Flex components with graph correctly.

  Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

  I suggest to set the default microphone and check if it helps.

  Follow the steps to set up the microphone as default:

  a. click Start, type sound in the search and open sound in Control Panel.

  b. click the recording tab.

  c. Select the Microphone icon.

  d. click set as default.

  e. click on apply then Ok to save the changes.

  VirtualAlloc is called with the combination of MEM_RESERVE and MEM_LARGE_PAGES, the call always fails. According to research on the web (in particular, http://blogs.msdn.com/b/oldnewthing/archive/2011/01/28/10121300.aspx), the reason is that the OS is not able to guarantee that we will find a contiguous physical memory space of 2 MB.

  However, it not seem desirable to prohibit purely and simply this problem on modern computers which can often have 8 GB or 12 GB of physical memory, which should mean that it often takes a reasonable amount of pages of 2 MB available. Reserving a large amount of virtual space and no commitment necessary is a very useful technique, and its overhead is reduced by using large pages (not to mention that the memory itself should run faster because of less narrowly BLT and Associates page walks). Commit all the memory in the front is very undesirable because only a fraction of this memory is perhaps necessary (normally, the operating system allocates only the committed memory when it is consulted, but apparently it is also disabled for large pages). However, using realloc() or similar techniques may invalidate all previous pointers to areas have been attributed, which makes them impractical for certain tasks.

  In addition, once VirtualAlloc was called once with MEM_RESERVE. MEM_LARGE_PAGES, any subsequent calls to VirtualAlloc with the same program also appear to fail with an error, even if they work fine without it. This seems to be a bug in the API.

  Would it not possible to allow MEM_RESERVE without validation for MEM_LARGE_PAGES (and the associated MEM_COMMIT later) at some point in the future?

  I have now solved this problem, I followed a link that showed me how to do it, I had to delete a folder.

  C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0 then the file I deleted was 1.0, then I tried to update and worked and the program works.

  I tried to do a different user account, but for some reason any windows wouldn't account upward, I don't know if there is a problem in windows for this 10 but no matter what I tried, I'm always done with the same thing. So for me, delete this file was the last resort
