All my software works except my Photoshop CS3, which I use most. I loaded the software disc and download online. Second, I can open a .jpeg file and use the Photoshop software and I can save the changes, but when I turn off my calculated the software doesn't seem to be on my computer. When I go to Windows ' search program and files "software is not located here. When I go to "Uninstall" the software of the foldername is there it is. "Photoshop CS3" but there isn't any size file to it IE 400 MB, while my software "Lightroom" on the 'uninstall' section will have a file for example size 400 MB tied to it. Thirdly, I also have a photosoftware of B + W, which operated in Photoshop; It's "NIK software - Silver Efex Pro" and it is located in the subtitle of 'filter' of Photoshop CS3. I use Silver Efex and all functions are working properly, but I can't save the file, it does not save the changes to save.

  You can use Lightroom or Photoshop on two computers using a single license.

  If you want to use on the third computer, you should disable any previous machines and turn it then back on the 3rd machine.

  You can also consider getting another license or subscription to your other computer.

  No, with Win XP as an operating system, you can only use version LR3.x.

  From 4.0 win7 is a mandatory prerequisite.

  Ditto for Mac: they also need a minimum version of the OS for LR4.

  You indicated that you tried three different versions of camera raw.  The only version you want is ACR 4.6.  The 5.x are of no value to you.  They are only compatible with Photoshop CS4.  You must remove it from your system.  Then, you must make sure that ACR 4.6 is installed correctly.  He must go to the exact folder specified in the instructions, and it can't be anywhere else.  It's the only thing I can think to look at you.

  As I read your question again, I need to clarify.  Expect Photoshop to open automatically when the DNG Converter ends?  That will not happen.  You need to open the bridge and navigate to the folder where the DNG files were created.  Thumbnails should appear, and you should be able to work with these DNG files as raw file.

  But storing on the external drive is only useful if you access Lightroom with catalog even on other computers too.
