Flash player 11.4 keeps asking to reinstall

I have Windows 7-64 bit and IE9. A few days ago I got a popup asking if I want an update of Adobe Flash. I answered Yes, and it is supposed to be installed successfully; Yet, whenever I go to a page with flash, Adobe tries to reinstall the update even again and again. Chrome works fine, but some sites only display correctly in Internet Explorer. I have so far spent two days on this. It makes me crazy!

Steps that my work to in a vain attempt to solve:

  • I ran cCleaner64 for both users of laptops, to remove all temporary files. He was also on the register.
  • I ran Norton quickscan.
  • I disabled Norton firewall and antivirus and disabled all the protections of SpywareBlaster.
  • I ran SuperAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes quickscans.
  • Restarted.

  • Reset Internet Zone on its values. Disabled of THE SmartScreen filter. The protected mode. Still, I have disabled Norton firewall and antivirus.
  • I have reinstalled Java.
  • I reinstalled Flash Player of Adobe Adobe.com, allowing to automatically install updates.
  • I closed IE.
  • I have reactivated Norton
  • I tried with IE 8. The same problem.

  • I disabled Norton and protected Mode.
  • I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player again. The same problem.

  • The protected mode. The same problem.
  • Update of IE 9 and tested. The same problem.
  • Turned on the SmartScreen filter.

Help, please!

First of all, try to enable Active Scripting in the areas of Sites Internet Options, security settings, trust.

You should also add a corrupted on.

    Click Start, type: Internet Options

    Press enter

    Select the "Advanced" tab

Under reset Internet Explorer settings, click "reset".

This should restore the Internet Explorer default settings.

  • Why settings of flash player from adobe ("always ask" is my default setting) does not respond when 'decline' is still selected when 'allow' selected

This issue has always been on any computer I have used or owned. A small pop-up window opens asking if the information can be stored on my computer and is not removable until "allow" is selected. Why is the option "Deny" shown if it can ever be used? In addition, this pop-up window moves the cursor flashes at a rate of 4 - 5 times faster when a video shows. Any information would be appreciated as it has intrigued me for a long time. Thank you.

  • Flash Player 11 Installation keeps time!

    Hello, everyone!

I'm new to this forum.  I saw a lot of answers for problems installing Flash Player 11, but none which does not seem to apply to me.

First of all, my system is 64-Bit Windows 7, 64 and 32-bit browsers IE9.  I am able to download Flash Player 11, but could not be installed.  It keeps time on me.  I went to the Adobe Flash player support section, followed all the steps of safety instruction, even used the 32 bit IE9 and disabled my antivirus software and allowed pop-ups, but in vain.

Should I go back to the previous version 10.3?

    Thank you in advance!

There must be a problem with my computer settings - I have flash 7 installed. about 70% of the time when I go on a site in flash required, he'll tell me that I need flash to view the site. I click the link, click on download and in short a few second I see the flash animated logo, which means that I'm supposed to have a successful download. When I return to the Web site, it still does not recognize that I have the flash player. Can someone help me? It's really frustrating. Is there something in my browser settings which is checked/unchecked which is crippling my ability for flash to be recognized?... I have windows xp.

Yes - I removed the flash... but when I did, he went to 93% and I received an error message that it could not go further... I rebooted the computer, went to reinstall flash and it worked... so - FINALLY fixed!

First of all, I doubt that you have removed completely from all forms of malware from your computer. I recommend that you download, install, update and perform a quick scan with Malwarebytes.

Once you have completed the scan uninstall Adobe Flash Player using the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility, which can be downloaded from the third link below. Re-install the flash player and give it another go.

I tried to install Flash Player, but it keeps logging at this point where he says that safari should be closed, but it is already closed, or I close and then click on 'Retry' and it still does not work. I don't know what the problem is or where to go from here.

    Hello

If you simply close the browser window, you quit smoking not in fact demand.  You must exit the application for Flash Player install.  There are a few ways to leave Safari:

    • Exit the app to the Dock icon:

      • The mouse on the icon of Safari in the Dock
      • Press CTRL and left click of the mouse at the same time
      • A menu will appear. Click on exit to close the application.

  • Flash Player on several PC problem

    Hello

I am a local COMPUTER administrator and have a problem where four users keep having the same problem. What they say, is that after a Windows Update and restart their Flash Player stops working. Uninstall and reinstall Flash Player solves the problem, but they are not admins of their machines and if this is not possible. Windows updates are controlled by policy group here, and I have no way to change that either.

However, going on what users have said that I'm not quite sure that the updates of Windows is the question. I have a PC users to test today and my last test did not produce the same result as what users say (more than step below).

Reading some of the threads I think I have checked most of the solutions but please review what I've done and propose something that I may have missed.

    OS - WinXP SP3

    Browser - IE8 32 bit

    • Visit www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/? -flash animation does not appear but it does not display version information (10.2.153.1)
    • Is the active Shockwave Flash object module: Yes
    • Disable all other addons
    • The Internet - set to medium, Security Zone also reset the browser settings
    • Disable the AV software and popup
    • Java Update
    • Killbit change reg - entry was there, but deleting it made no difference
    • Installed Firefox and flash player works (again to see if it will be affected by the same good question)
    • Flash Player file details in the image below

Therefore, as already mentioned my last step was to remove the latest Windows updates. There were two of them apply the previous night (KB2511455 & KB2508429). I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player (now at version 10.2.159.1), checked it worked and updates of Windows Basic. Rebooted but Flash Player still works. So I'm not sure what the cause of the problem; I'm waiting for it to happen again, but I hope that a solution will have been found by then.

If you need me to test something else, there are other machines that have the problem.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Brad

Here are the details of the installed Flash files...

    adobe flash file details.JPG

Hi, well although you went thru a little trying to solve this problem. I agree that it has nothing to do with the updates of Windows. I did not have any question on one of my PC and haven't read anything nets.

What I see in the screenshot, is that the 'Flash10o.ocx' does not get uninstalled. It is the version of Flash Player 10.2.153.1.

The other files are correct with the 10.2.159.1.

When the uninstall program was run that this file should be removed. You can go and remove it manually. Just be sure that you have nothing running in the system tray that uses Flash. Messaging services instant need disabled/quit/exit(whatever term is used). Then close all browser windows and then right-click on the Flash10o.ocx and delete it. I would then reboot.

    Hope that solves the problem.

  • Cannot upgrade to Flash Player 10

My neighbors computer running Windows XP (home edition) SP3, on this computer that they use IE. I tried to install the latest flash player and it keeps failing when trying to load "C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\*.ocx" (I forgot the name of the file, I guess there is only one, if necessary, I will re - try if it fails and I'll take the name). I tried everything on the list http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_19166 . I ran the uninstaller program, tried the .msi file, run the script permission setting, renamed the c:\windows\system32\macromed Flash folder (then the installer should create a). I even restored my computer to September 10, 2008 (the furthest back I can go). If I have omitted any details, I'll try my best to provide answers. Suggestions?

I found the problem, SP3 installed incorrectly, uninstalled and reinstalled SP3 and I am able to install flash and adobe reader.
