Flatten the dynamic pdf files

Hello

I have a dynamic PDF where users all text fields, dropdown lists and image fields. I also lock that all fields button script that I found in this forum to lock all fields in the form once only the user completes it. I was wondering is there a way to record or produce a flat static pdf file in the end? Sometimes the dynamic shape may increase in volume due to the size of the image in the image field. So is there a way to flatten everything in the end and produce a small copy of this file? This way any user, even with the older version of adobe reader can open it since his is no longer a dynamic form.

I know that sometimes I can do by printing to a file 'adobe pdf', but cannot me when to have the configuration of permissions. I don't want to give full access too. What are the permissions do I need to change for this? Is there another way to flatten a dynamic file in the end? Does anyone do this?

UH. The Distiller does not handle file protected by an owner or user password.

The only way around this TI to select the options of "Print as Image" in the Advanced menu of the dialog box print acrobats.

  • Failed to retrieve the file. The dynamic application file is not in the specified location

    Hi all

We face below mentioned question when creating content for our portal application web center.

I configured UCM correctly for my portal application by creating the connection of content in my application resources repository.

    Our Center web version: 11.1.1.8

    1st edition)

    Content Server request failed

ErrorImpossible to recover the file. The dynamic application file is not at the specified location ('/ l01/oracle/middleware/user_projects/domains/Webcntr_domain/ucm/cs/weblayout/resources/wcm/custom/sitestudio/contentwizard/webcenter/contentwizard.hcsp ').

    That's what I did

In one of my portal page I added the content presenter by entering mode(ctrl+shift+e) contribution and in content configuration presenter window, when I clicked on the button "create Web content".

It take me to my window to center of oracle and survey web content the above error. Here's the URL that I have in my browser

    http:// < hostname >: < portNumber > / CS/Resources/WCM/Custom/SiteStudio/contentwizard/WebCenter/contentwizard. HCSP

Just to clarify, even I tried the same thing in the spaces of the web Center as well. I created a TestPortal, adding a page, and on this page when I add the content presenter and clicked on the "Create Web content" button, I get the same question.

Please suggest me what could be the reason.

Studio on the Site of 2nd edition) (11.1.1.8), I created all the required element definitions and definitions of the region and they are archived as well. And content of oracle web Center (UCM), I can learn all the definitions xml for these items. But if I want to change their definitions in the site studio, I do not get is it possible to see all the definitions element or definitions of region I created previously. is this kind of bug in 11.1.1.8? Since I was not facing this problem in 11.1.1.6.

so can anyone suggest something for the issues mentioned above.

    Thank you

    Hello.

WebCenterConfigure component of the Complutense University of MADRID is responsible for the creation of the contentwizard.hcsp in the folder you specified. Please check if it is enabled, or you will need to reset it.

In any case no problem of migration, if WebCenterConfigure been activated before it doesn't have an impact, of the contentwizard.hcsp.

    Kind regards.

    Hi Sarah!

I solved it! I had to use the original URL shorter links to create

functional hyperlinks or try to short the links using Google URL Shortener.

I don't know why it worked by doing this, but he did!

    Hi vickyb,.

Reducing the size of PDF file requires Acrobat (one way is by choosing File > save as > PDF of reduced size). If you do not have Acrobat, you can try it free for 30 days. See www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html for more information.

  • during the conversion of several Word and Excel docs in a combined PDF file random pages have blue background in the final PDF file.

I have a user using Acrobat 10. It has been installed two weeks ago and had no problems at the start. Today, she said that when she tried to convert several word and excel docs by selecting and right-click on it to select convert/combine PDF format, pages randomly in the finished PDF file have a blue background. I did some research online and you can't find any information on this problem. Can anyone here shed some light on this subject and maybe point me in the direction of a solution? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

    Hi Gilad,

So something I didn't consider was that it could be a setting in office documents. The reason why I do not consider this was cause we tested several docs and had similar results each time. I returned and examined this possibility and found a setting in word that was causing this problem. Although the word doc showed no color page when opened in word, if I went to the "Page Layout"-> 'Color of Page', a shade of blue was chosen. By selecting "no color", then convert / combining documentation in PDF format, we have achieved the desired result. Thanks again for your response!

  • Resurrect the old PDF files into usable documents

    Hi all

I have a few dozen files PDF that was apparently created by scanning the old doc printed 1990 (full of staple holes and Visual noise, like perhaps other pages had glued over time) in PDF without benefit of OCR. I don't know how long the PDF was created, but Ctrl + D shows Acrobat 5.x as the latest version of the cluster. The files have a line drawings. Some have tables created in the old typewriter/WordPerfect bullies: using special characters to delimit columns online. Roll forward about 20 years now... These old relics of decades are the only things that shows how something important, and I have to put things in a useful format for programmers and developers of new products today. Unfortuntately, there is no admin on the staff, and yours is really too short a time to allow to fix such things even at 120 OMP.

I use Acrobat Pro Extended v.9 on XP - SP3. (I have access to Acrobat 9 on Win7, but I'm just a die-hard XP.)  I tried to run 'Recognize text in multiple files using OCR' with parameters to ClearScan and Word output, and it really gum up the layout until you can not literally follow one sentence to another enough say where are the sentences and paragraphs.  I've seen some other posts about the differences between the 3 OCR options (still a little foggy on it) and thought maybe ClearScan would be a good choice and then save them in Word or save it as plain text or RTF, but ClearScan 'seen' the Visual noise and the punctuation marks and special characters. Maybe it was a hypersensitivity?

What Miss me about the settings? Or is there something I could / should do to clean up this Visual noise before running OCR? I need ideas like a lot of people who know more that I do what I can maybe you! :-)

    Thanks in advance,

    Wintenberger

    CH-

I forgot to mention, on some pages, there are also hand-written notes. Is there a way to get the OCR to understand handwriting? Or if I use the typewriter tool to record the handwritten stuff, is it possible to remove the PDF manuscript stuff before running OCR?

    PPS-

These are not legal documents, but I'm working copies stored away so that the original PDF files are archived for posterity.

As mentioned, some of the 3rd party are supposed to do a better job, as the OCR is their main goal. When I did my job, I OCRB the scan, then moved to my word processor. Of course, it was not perfect, but much better than of type from scratch. My copy is pretty good and about 600 dpi I recall. I spent probably not more than about 10 minutes per page on average. Maybe it's even higher. I had to retype each equation. The alternative is to copy the equations in the form of a graph. In some cases, you may even want to anyway as you so that the image of the equation to the view that you retype. I have just try a few pages and see what you can get. Be sure to keep a copy of your Moose and work in parts.

  • How to get the name of the current PDF file?

    Hello world

I know this is maybe a question has been asked millions of times, but I couldn't find a straight answer.

I am using a workflow that comes with a Content Manager Solution is not Adobe this WF will generate a file very long (about 30 characters) name that will be used as the number of unique processes.

To go to the step next in the workflow that I have to update the table in the database and registration update will use the process number.  What I did is that I added a field in hidden text in the form, which should have the number of processes on the initialize function.

Now my question is how to get the file name of the opened PDF file?

I'm sure that there is a function in JS, but I couldn't find the way to do it.

Thanks in advance guys for help.

Acrobat can create LiveCycle Design possible forms, but each uses a different and different languages or syntax approach.

There are a number of ways to get the file name and path, urt getFileName.

  • How to remove the downloaded PDF files?

I use an android phone and can access the PDFs using Firefox, I downloaded but how to remove PDF files, that I can't keep?

By default, Firefox stores downloads in your device's standard download folder. So here's what I suggest:

    (1) removal of in Firefox: menu > tools > downloads > press and hold the > delete

    (2) check the downloads app system to ensure that it has been deleted physically there as well and, if not, delete it using this application

To confirm the interaction, you could open the app downloads system first, make sure that the PDF file is there, then delete it to in Firefox and when you return to the downloads application, it should be gone.

    It works on your device?
