Flex 3 bases of data and large Html files

Hi guys,.

New to flex and I have a question, any help would be much appreciated, I a database of sql server 2005 I use orb web is there to connect throu flex, I books stored in the database of each page of a book is a separate file and has in all html tags, what I would do , it is display one page at a time to the user and then have them click a button to go to the registration page, that I could handle in a datagrid, I suppose, but the text pages are quite large is there a component that would be better for a large page of text such as the component text if so could you give me an example of how bind it my data and how to stop the tags HTML appears as text, or if I could customize the layout of the data grid that could be a better solution.

I posted an attempt to use a text component, but have failed so far:

<? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "utf-8"? >

" < = xmlns:mx mx:Panel ' http://www.Adobe.com/2006/MXML "layout ="absolute"width ="100% "height ="100% "title ="The Lord is near"> "
< mx:Script >
<! [CDATA]
Import mx.collections.ArrayCollection;
Import AlphaOmega.ActiveRecords;
Import AlphaOmega.Alpha_Calendar;
Import mx.controls.TextArea;

public void GetTodaysLin (): ArrayCollection collection

{
Return ActiveRecords.Alpha_Calendar.findBySql ("SELECT Cal_ID, Cal_Text, Cal_Date, Cal_MP3 FROM Alpha_Calendar WHERE (Cal_Date = CONVERT (VARCHAR (30), GETDATE(), 102))" ");
}
[]] >
< / mx:Script >
< mx:Text htmlText = "{GetTodaysLin}" width = "100%" height = "100%" id = "Lin" / >

< / mx:Panel >

Thank you

GetTodaysLin seems to return a collection of ArrayCollection, but text 'text' property should probably not be an ArrayCollection collection. You should probably populate an ArrayCollection collection in creationComplete and then to initialize the text control with myAC.getItemAt (currentItemNum), where currentItemNum is a uint variable, and then subsequently and buttons to change the text using currentItemNum ++ or currentItemNum.

currentItemNum should be can be linked with [Bindable], and you will need to make sure that the currentItemNum is not < 0="" and="" is="" not=""> = myAC.length ().

  • Why have a clue and main.html file?

    Hello

    Yet another question. Why have an index.html file and a file main.html for the same web page? It seems to be different from the other...

    Thank you

    Mobie Boy

    index.HTML is a home page.

    main.dwt is a Dreamweaver template page and never needs to be uploaded to a server (unless you share the file with anyone). TPL files are only used by Dreamweaver to create child pages based on them.

    main.HTML is probably an example of child page from main.dwt (and not a secondary home page, at least, not intentionally). When you have a site defined in DW and a model defined for the site (a file .dwt in the site Templates folder), you can create pages based on the .dwt by selecting file > new > Page from the template. That selection will create a completely new page, based on the .dwt file where only the areas defined as editable regions in the .dwt will be editable in the child page. When you work with templates in DW, you can make any changes to a non-editable region in the .dwt file and it will propagate to all child pages based off of him.

    It's a nice way to make changes large site for small Dreamweaver sites. I would never recommend using a file .dwt for sites approximately 15 to 20 pages. This is where SSI should take over and make life much easier in the updating and editing Department.

  • Peformance Gain for a different drive for the SQL Server data and log (VM) file?

    Hello

    It is suggested to separate SQL Server 2012 data and log files in different drive for VM.  Is there a performance gain if two of them resided in the same logical (Partition VMDK) unit number?  OR should they (different dives) in different LUNS (Partition VMDK)?

    Thank you

    The General mantra in the physical world goes as follows:

    For optimal performance, you need to separate logs and database of transactions on different physical disks (e.g. disks) stacks.

    This general concept applies naturally agnostically to virtual workloads as well. It essentially translates to:

    For performance, you should put the files of database transactions on various resident on different LUNS VMDK or use separate RDM. You should also use a separate vSCSI controller to each VMDK/RDM as the controller has its own IO queue.

    There is a point more important which is often neglected in the physical and virtual world in particular:

    Ideally, you should make sure that your physical LUN for logs and DB are not a group of common disk same stacks of physical disks. This violates the general concept above.

  • Date and time of file Excel data import

    I'm running into problems of import of dates-hours format 15/03/2010 21:30 using SQL Developer. In step 1 of the import data wizard, the data preview window displays all fields date dates Excel (for example, 40252.89583 instead of 15/03/2010-21:30). I can SQL Developer to recognize the data in the format of date and time, rather than convert them to decimal values?

    When you import from Excel, I have not found a date format model that would transform their decimal number into a date Oracle. But the following seems to work well:

    1. save the Excel page in a CSV file, and then in the import wizard SD, you can enter the date format for this column model.

    2. in Excel convert this column of text. (Highlight your date column, choose the menu item 'Data', 'Data tools' group choose the 'Text to columns' tool, click next / next / then click on the 'Text' button, click on 'Finish' and save your xls) Now in the import of SD Wizard simply enter the date format model that corresponds to the column of 'text' Excel with your dates.

    Anyway seems to work for me.

    Could you be it anyone of you please tell me why the file is not updated. Maybe I was wrong with 'meta. SetProperty "?

    Found the solution.

    Before closing the file I had to add the following line:

    file. PutXMP (meta);

    Now, the data is written to the file.

  • Access the Blob of Table data and save to file local system

    I have a table that has a blob column in which most of the regular file types are downloaded and stored.

    What is the best/better way to select/query this table and write all of the content of the BLOB in a local file system?

    Is it possible to sort the batch and save them on my local drive?

  • I want to display and print HTML file I recorded on my hard drive.

    On the Symantec Web site, when I clicked for more information, he has opened a web page, but the Firefox menu did not appear in the upper right corner. I wanted to print the page. I right click to save the page on my hard drive. I still want to print it. What should I do?

    In almost all situations, Ctrl + p should call the print dialog box. (Unfortunately, there is not a similar shortcut to go to preview before printing, so you can see what you will get.)

  • . DAT and. EXE

    My first app, I have just thinapped.

    I read earlier on. DAT files created with. EXE files if they become too big.  Well, my first app thinapped created the. DAT and. EXE files.

    I also read that you can simply rename the. DAT file. EXE.  Is this wise?  I'll always have two files, either. DAT and .exe or two .exe files.  Is this correct?

    It is correct that. DAT files are actually "renowned". EXE files. They are very practical if you have for example a bubble office and you want to make the included separate accessible applications. Have word for example being "large container" means that anyone can start word...

    If you check the package file, you will see that it references the local CMD.exe. It is a question also then it is possible to navigate within the 'bubble' and possibly extract information such as operas or similar (if you are not aware, it's possible). If you have a dummy application (we created one) you could include this in your bubble and redirect the reference, so that it shows only a ' sorry, this is a placeholder... Please start the applications of link! ".

    If there is interest in the 'dummy app/space reserved", to speak and I will attach it...

  • The html file size

    Hello

    In dreamweaver how does one check the size of the file and the html file?

    Bob

    Rik is quite right, but that number may be misleading because it does not include scripts, images, and other files of dependant who uses the page.  For example, a 6 KB html file could really be 419 KB when loading in browsers.

    If you want a free analysis of the actual size / speed of your page, have a look at the link below.
