Flex - Spring - BlazeDC

Hello!!
I'm developing small example with tutorial Adobe: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/livecycle/articles/blazeds_spring_05.html
Deploy is done! But when applicattion started I got error by CPP ceiling:
[ResultEvent fault = [RPC Fault faultString = "Send failed" = "Client.Error.MessageSend" faultDetail ="faultCode" Channel.Connect.Failed error NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: failed: url: ' http://localhost:8400/messagebroker/amf ' ' messageId = "88205208-79EC-E149-2FE7-24D288A04302" type = "fault" bubbles = false cancelable = true eventPhase = 2]]

What is the error?

This is a standard message, if your client cannot connect to the amf servelet.

your servlet amf url seems to be http://localhost:8400/messagebroker/amf. is your blazeds is hosted in the http://localhost:8400 / blazeds? in this case, you must go to the project property and correct the configuration of the server.

Hello

I am setting up a project using "best of breed" technologies "Flex-Spring-Hibernate" with Maven support, just like our great "todo sample""" http://opensource.adobe.com/svn/opensource/cairngorm3/trunk/samples/todo. "

But my skills is so limited, so I can't do it by myself. I need an example to follow (even copy/paste). Everything I need is something like our "todo sample" on its own (not an application within the source code of cairngorm3).

If you have or seen anything like this, please tell me.

Thank you

• How to set up channels with Spring-Flex?

Newbie here to try and get my first Flex/BlazeDS operational application. I think that I have correctly configured my servet and Remoting destinations using Spring-Flex integration. My only remaining questions are how to set channels.

The use of the spring/BlazeDS integration means that I don't have to have a remoting-config file. XML more. But it the documentation is not clear as to if I have to configure my channels in a services - config.xml still file.

If I need a services-config file. XML (and I think I do), how can we get away without hard coding the server URL? I've seen samples on the web such as:

"URL ="""https://\{server.name\}:\{server.port\}/flex2gateway/cfamfsecure '

But I did not when/where/what the dynamic substitution? They look almost like Maven properties or the spring, but they may not be. It's just something that needs to be changed manually after the installation?

Finally, I don't really like the idea of compiling the Flex client against a configuration file on the server side as I saw suggested on the web. How would we have the Flex client discover - or if not to understand what he must do it dynamically?

Sorry for the post multi-question... Thanks for any help!

Do not configure a set of channels, but you can do it in your Flex client rather than code in the file services - config.Xml. Here is some information on some ways to do this:

http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/LiveCycleDataServicesES/3.1/developing/WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e 0811f00f6e876 - 7fecUpdate.html #WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811f00f6e876-7fdbUpdate

Look at the section called "channel on the client Configuration.

Regarding the tokens in the definitions of channels in services - config.xml:

{server.name} and {server.port} resolved when running on the server and port used to load the SWF file.

• Beans of Spring Flex appeal

Hello

I have a java J2ee project, with built-in spring. I set up the project so that I can make calls in flex mxml file Spring managed objects. This works as expected.

My project unfolds while I have the following hierarchy of folders and files.

MyProj (folder) - file MortgageCalc.mxml (it contains the code to make remote calls)
| - Web - INF
| - classes (compiled Java classes)
| - flex (containing my services-config, remoting-config)
| - lib (all my pots)

My MortgageCalc.mxml file is very simple; It looks like this:

"< mx:Application xmlns:mx = ' http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" > "
< mx:RemoteObject id = "ro" destination = "mortgageService" / >
< mx:TextInput id = "amount" / >
< mx:Button label = "Calculate" click = "ro.calculate (Number (amount.text))" / >
< mx:TextInput id = text="{ro.calculate.lastResult}"/ "monthlyPayment" >
< / mx:Application >

MyProj is located under tomcat/webapps.

I want to do is move my flex code in a new folder under tomcat as a separate web application - calling the Spring beans in another web - app.

So my set-up

tomcat/webapps/MyProj (containing all my Java code)
tomcat/webapps/MyFlexApp (with my flex application)

I tried and failed, I receive the following error message:
[Error CPP faultString = "[MessagingError message = 'destination unknown"mortgageService".']" faultCode = "InvokeFailed" faultDetail = 'Couldn't establish a connection to "mortgageService" ' "]

I very roughly just copied in the Web-INF/flex folder in MyFlexApp, crossed my fingers and hoped. Can someone let me know what files belong where to get this working? Or if it is even possible at all? Or maybe I need to change the services-config or remoting-config?

Thank you

Matt

Can you please try re compilation/cleaning of your project with the updated flex services - config.Xml. I have a similar setup and his works fine.
I hope this helps.

• HP build flex 2.0 Pavilion a1709n holding deskjet always does?

I think I really messed up this time. I'm an old fart I do not understand all this. Dufas had me (I thought) a hardware issue or connection with my cable company. 1 Windows Fax and scan has stopped working on my computer (I upgraded from Vista to Win7 home House). I thought that if I went back to Vista it might resolve itself. I did the begginning of the Reformat using the disc 1, then the extra and then my d drive does not. Spring broke and I had to replace it.

My friend upstairs put XP Professional on it, but I couldn't get an internet connection. Here, I'm TRYING to get Vista home back on. Twice I tried to get installed it and now this build of flex hp cam to the top and x came player script. Now it has been hours of data from one file to another. Please help this old lady, if you have a little idea what to do! I've never had a computer with a hard drive problem so if it is, I'd appreciate your help or is it possible to get Vista once again.

I have the HP partition program run all night and it's ok now.

• Flex application and several basic material

Hello

my company is developing an enterprise application pretty huge involving 4 Flex, BlazeDS, a server side Java-spring and frame matte on the client side.

It works very well but as demand is growing bigger and bigger performance problems are a major concern for us... And our customers!

We just noticed a performance problem and I could not find any resource from Google, it's here:

It seems to us that no matter what the number of CPUS of your computer has, our Flex application always use only one. Accordingly, our application rolls over on a P4 core at 3 GHz computr processor than, say, on a core i7 with 8-processor 1, 6 GHz! Pretty strange isn't it?

However, I learned that multicore of handfuls of Flash Player since version 9, so perhaps am I missing something simple? Is there something I should do to enable multicore processing? What is my application which is poorly designed? Or an operating system issue maybe?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you

Matt

ActionScript is single-threaded, so there is no advantage to try to spread his treatment between multiple cores. Once the actionscript code has implemented the displaylist for a framework, certain aspects of the rendering of the display list can be distributed to the other cores or even a gpu. Use the performance profiler to see where you as usage patterns are expensive and optimize.

• Simple Newbie Question - download flex applications

I'm very new guy, sorry for the stupid question. It is my first adventure in Flex.

I'm working on a graphic spring flex application and I went to show a worker co on his computer and it wouldn't work. I went to the html file in the bin-debug, it works on my machine, but not hers.

This also got me questioning what I have to download online when I'm done so that it can work.

The paths of the library are all absolute links on my machine like that

C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4\sdks\4.1.0

Any help is really apprieciated. I did a few tutorials, but none of them actually go to upload files.

Thank you

Hello

Your Flex program will work on your computer if you are using Flash Builder because it puts in place a 'special' environment to allow you to test your applications at the local level. These files are all based on mxml and do not work outside the Flash Builder environment.

For others to access your application, open the Project menu, and then select 'Export Release Build'. This will create the code html, swf and other files for people using your app. The main application will be the same name as your project - something like: myApp.html. (unless you have changed the default application)

• Newbie question: in what configuration file < flex: access remote destination > tags go?

I seem to have read the document integration spring/Blaze about 10 times, but I don't know where to put all my < flex: access remote-Ref destination = "yaddayaddaService" / > tags. I don't want annotation allows you to set these remote destinations.

Should it go in the spring configuration file that I use for the servlet of AMF endpoint (as specified by the contextConfigLocation parameter). Or they go to a high-level cross-servlet configuration file?

What is the usual way to deal with these?

Hello

The convention is to declare:

1 declare the Spring beans (for example yaddayaddaService) in the files specified by the parameter contextConfigLocation.

2. Add the Spring - Flex specific configuration (configure message agent, declare destinations) in WEB-INF\flex- servlet.xml, assuming that you have configured the model of Message Broker URL as follows in the web.xml file:

Flex
org.springframework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet
1

Flex
messagebroker / *.

The repository SVN BlazeDS/distribution contains the spring sample webapp (spring - samples.war) that you can watch as well.

Hope that helps.

• [Flex 4] Application not including the Spark components

I am building an application based on the module where a main application SWF load several SWF Module to be used in the application. I noticed a strange problem in loading the Modules. If I do not have a certain component (for example: spark.components.Panel) compiled manually in my SWF application, it does not compile in at all. I assumed that the entire Flex framework was automatically compiled into the main SWF (or an RSL) file by default.

Perhaps, I put the bad things. I build the project with Ant, so my tasks look like this:

<!-- compile the main application -->
<target name="compile.main" depends="flex.setup">
<mxmlc file="${flex.src.dir}/application.mxml" incremental="true"
output="${flex.main.file}" debug="true" link-report="${flex.linkreport.file}">
<load-config filename="${FLEX_HOME}/frameworks/flex-config.xml"/>
<load-config filename="conf/project-config.xml"/>
</mxmlc>
</target>

<!-- compile modules -->
<target name="compile.modules" depends="flex.setup">
<mxmlc file="${myApp.module.file}" load-externs="${flex.linkreport.file}"
output="${forum.module.output.file}"
incremental="true"
debug="true">
<load-config filename="${FLEX_HOME}/frameworks/flex-config.xml"/>
<load-config filename="conf/project-config.xml"/>
</mxmlc>
</target>

Two of these targets are, of course, pointing to a configuration file, I have here:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<flex-config>
<target-player>10.0.0</target-player>

<compiler>
<source-path append="true">

<path-element>../lib/hamcrest-as3.swc</path-element>
<path-element>../lib/monsterdebugger-2.0.4.swc</path-element>
<path-element>../lib/spring-actionscript-core-0.8.swc</path-element>
<path-element>../lib/swfaddress-2.3.swc</path-element>
</library-path>
</compiler>
</flex-config>

I'm not having problems or warnings to the compilation of the code above. Is there something I'm missing here? Do I have to manually incorporate the classes/swc? I use Flex 4.0.0.7219.

Only the classes used are linked in. If you use the RSL will be available, they are not initialized until use

• Application modular Flex and BlazeDS serialization problem

Hey there,
I write modular Flex application using BlazeDS to communicate with managed by backend Java spring. I created Java objects on the server side and the relevant ActionScript objects in flex.

I used RemoteClass metatag to serialize objects from flex to java. Everything works perfectly fine, when I work with the objects that first loaded module. I am able to serialize the form of objects as Java. But when I reload module or load another flex module I'm losing the types of objects serialized. I get this error message then:

faultCode:Server.ResourceUnavailable faultString: 'Can't call method "updateProfile".' faultDetail: ' types of expected arguments are (com.konrady.cms.entity.User), but provided types have been (flex.messaging.io.amf.ASObject) and processed (null).

I tried to invesigate this question, and I'm sure this is the problem with loading flex modules. When I insert ModuleA first of all, I am able to serialize the quant to Java objects. But when I load moduleB, I can't serialize objects and more. Loading moduleA again after that ModuleB are also not possible to serialize objects.
When I load moduleB firstly I can serialize objects of it. Reloading flex modules brokes Serialization...

Someone has encountered this problem before? I will be grateful for any piece of advice.

Ouch, I hope that someone with a full understanding of these multi-application configurations will come to your front rescure I spoil completely.

I would like to tell you of a long series of publications dealing with the complexity of such a request in the middle of the AIR [which is my case], but due to the mishandling of the code formatted in this forum tool, which deals as the thread to 'How to Test AIR 1.5' in the developer forum is almost impossible to follow and , at the end of the day, he never gave a "How-to" document as I had hoped. Under "can someone Open the Black Box" in the Adobe AIR forum, there are some ideas that might be relevant. To reduce the time of download of network for the scheme - not really reduce congestion of memory - I configured my use of SWFLoader in the AIR application to successfully benefit from the Flex Framework RSL. I don't think that the possibility of using BlazeDS classes in the scheme is directly related to this difference, but it can be indirectly related.

Following this line of thought, you could get the 'how to debug Actionscript to Java serialization problem' that I posted on the forum Configuration and commissioning, which can help, but it seems that you have found the information of stack trace good to help in your search for failures.

The new information - or at least what I had not detected from your previous post - seems to be this:

Home - or not properly accesses remote objects, I'm not clear.

Load A sub-application successfully access Remote Objects.

Load sub-application B fails when you try to access remote objects.

This seems to make clear that "dumping" is not what is causing the failure. I think, then, is that your problem has to do with loading, and now I have to expose my ignorance to the world and how it was that I finally managed to get my multi-application to subsequently work issues at stake. If it helps your big case, or if only it gives off just using one or several of the teams in question Adobe - Flex SDK team, team air, BlazeDS team - then we all benefit.

Somewhere that I can't find now, there is this big PDF file describing the scenarios to pump Flex of MashUps and other environments where a disconnnected development team may have to deal with different versions of RSL - done one or two side-notes on the AIR, it focuses on the Flex. From there on, I won some glimmer of an idea of the ApplicationDomain class and class related SecurityDomain. I could not, on a bet, give you a clear statement on the results of the use of the different options. The code I use to achieve successfully the dynamic loading of my scheme via the SWFLoader is loaded with comments showing that I n "t got a clue. I tried all combinations; This is what works for me:

var context: LoaderContext = new LoaderContext();

context.allowLoadBytesCodeExcecution = true;

context.applicationDomain = ApplicationDomain.currentDomain;

var swfLoader:SWFLoader = new SWFLoader();

swfLoader.trustContent = true;

swfLoader.loaderContext = context;

swfLoader.source = byteArray;

The byteArray was populated by readBytes() starting from a FileStream. As I said, my use case is sub-appliciations Flex and/or air base running in an envelope of AIR. Presumably, you get to the same place in pure Flex using SWFLoader.load () after you have configured the ApplicationDomain or SecurityDomain via the LoaderContext.

All I can hope. After dragging you in all this rubbish is the link of the duration of the BlazeDS code begins to work for you, as it did for me. In particular, which does not [even though I was debugging problems other than BlazeDS in time] was to set the LoaderContext this way:

context.applicationDomain = new ApplicationDomain (ApplicationDomain.currentDomain);

or was this another incantation:

context.applicationDomain = new ApplicationDomain (null);

These three variants have the world to do with the way the runtime detects and calls methods on classes in the application. Only the first allows me to work successfully with RemoteObjects in any subsidiary application that happens to need support on the server side.

• Post Flex, catch in the other domain and redirect

Hello world

I am new to Flex, altought I work already done in AS3.

I have been intrigued by a simple application that asked me to do. I wanted to learn Flex, yhis was an opportunity to start, but as always, when it comes the irt for new applications or programming skills disorders, spring of all stains.

So the question I have, I think is a simple, but requires knowledge of ASP (because it is the language of script used here), but if you know more about PHP, this isn't a problem.

So here it is:

I do a simple form that must be distributed by other servers, in other words, other Web pages can put this form, as long as I give them the swf file. In this form user put the login and the password. Other variables are established and have their fixed value. I want to be able to present the data to another page that can process this information, and it redirects accordingly. Since it is in another area, I think I should use a 'proxy' file to transmit this information (unless you know another way to do it).

The problem is that the news of the form are displayed in this proxy, and I want to repost it to the checkout page. But since this proxy will be a communication from server to server, this does not work, the information is passed, but I can't do any redirect with POST and I won't use querystrings, because this certificate will be stored in the browser history.

Anyone has the idea how to do it? Any example?... thoughts?

Thank you

If it is so difficult to make simple connection of coldfusion so why spend mony on this? I tried to find something simple examples to see how easy it is to connect to the coldfusion component and according to me, it's not so easy flex devlopers to designate who! is there more simple examples for dums like me to connect to coldfusion data with flex?

Eddy-

I'm sorry to hear that you have questions. Too, I had some problems, but have been able to solve using this forum. I do not use web services or cold fusion, but I use Java, in fact, I have a complex java configuration that uses Spring and Hibernate frameworks. But now that I have a full understanding of how things work, I feel much more comfortable using Flex Data Services.

If you do not want to display code, we can help you. I know that Adobe people frequent this forum and review all applications, I'm sure that your problems can be solved.

BTW, why not just use the capablities of native Cold Fusion connection?

• Flex and ColdFusion on shared server

Good afternoon everyone,

So I, like many here I guess, use CF for quite awhile now and I am very interested in what Flex can do. I used the CF adapter several times now with great success on my LOCAL Dev machine, but when I download on my web server (hosted by the My Site host), it does not work. Instead, it throws an error springing from the somrthing on a flexgateway.

So what I was hoping that someone could tell me my host does not support or is at - it something I don't in my setting up a Flex project I have to do? I had the impression to run a simple Flex application, you didn't need something special at the end server except the flash player 9.

When I use Flex and CF adapter I just follow the steps to create what I need. I do not use the part "login" so I uncheck this option. Except that I use all the default settings.

And in regards to my host, I have another Flex application up, which works perfectly, but it uses no CFCS to fill in the data of a database as I am doing now.

I searched for many hours a lot now for a simple question answer with no luck.

Here, any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK, I see. So I think between you and your host that they provide you with a URL string of some sort that you have placed in the crossdomain.xml on your roots.
