Flow of work-psd-> tiff-> jpg

Here are the rules I must follow:

* Convert your image into 8-bit Tiff file (save as Tiff)

* In a program like Photoshop, upsize the image of a minimum of 48 MB of image editing. (If you do your longer 5200 pixels and keep proportionally shorter size, this should give you a little more than 50 MB file size)

* Make changes, check the image carefully at 100%

* At the very last stage save your picture in Jpeg format and send us this Jpeg. Don't forget, the Jpeg format is the compressed size, then it will be usually between 3MB - 15M

Here's what I'm doing, starting with .raw 16-bit .psd:

Flatten the psd final finsihed

Change the size of the image to approximately 2 x original 96-104 MB (5200 = 51.6 MB) using smoothed bi-cubique

Change the 8-bit color mode (reduces the file in 1/2)

Save as tiff

Under tiff to jpg high quality

My question:

Is this the best flow to use or should I be editing of tiff, or ranging from 8-bit to a different point in time? Can I use anything other than smooth bi-cubique? Or...?

Thanks for the help.

There is no interest in doing, none of that. It is a fool to flow in the present age. What you need to do is simply to find the raw file (or edited psd/16-bit tiff if that's your original (no necessary BTW Flattening) in Lightroom, hitting export, select jpeg, define the quality of something over 90% (there is no imperceptible loss of quality over 90%), activate the resize tab and set it to one long edge of 5200 pixels) ask the appropriate output sharpening (it's probably for a printing service?) and select sRGB and you're done. This will give the better quality than the workflow in this description and is much faster.

  • How to create a camera profile that works with a JPG image with my color chart to check inside? [was: color Checker chart.] Really need help]

    I got a color chart to check. It came not with any software whatsoever. I shoot my images in JPG format. I know it's not really ideal but I'm on a tight budget and don't have the money for a digital SLR cameras that shoot raw. Is there anyway that I can always create a camera profile that works with a JPG image with my color chart to check inside? My table also includes RGB values below each color. Maybe I can match each color in the photo these values manually? If so how is this done?

    Thank you

    Bryce

    I've never seen software that does what you ask for JPGs, only RAWs.  The main problem is that any profile or adjustment is calculated according a JPG of a particular chart photo would apply to the other JPG photos with the same white balance.

    Jpg does not use "camera profiles" anyway in Lightroom, the profile is always integrated.

    There is a product that allows to calculate the HSL cursor offset values given a JPG photo their own table owner who looked like a color checker, but had two lines reversed so the software could not be used with a standard-checker color, unfortunately.  Now their table has twice as many patches (48), and looking at it on their site I'm not too sure that it does not always work with JPGs or if she's just raw files, now.

    The graphic and software are called SpyderCheckr of Datacolor.  There are various software that do different things, but none are using a ColorChecker, so having one is mainly a loss until you get a camera that can take raw photos, so keep a humidity and temperature controlled environment as much as possible until you have the right camera.  You can probably use the grey patches to adjust exposure, but that's all.

    Today you need not a digital SLR to have raw photos, well.  My phone Galaxy S6 with the last update of Marshmallow and the software of camera update will take photos in format raw DNG in Pro mode which I can create custom profiles camera to use a ColorChecker, although the camera is really good in itself, so when I found everything first he could make DNG I took a little but now, I usually just use the camera to make the jpg unless the shot is really important and the lighting is not too hard.  I think that S7 phone's camera is even better.

    What kind of camera do you have?  Sometimes, there are firmware hacks that allow the camera to shoot raw format even if the standard camera cannot.

    Since the installation of 2014 CC PS, I could not open PSD & TIFF files from bridge.  If I do I get the above error.   Once Photoshop CC 2014 has been installed, I removed the old version of PS CC.

    Sounds like a registry problem created when PS CC 2014 installed next to the PS CC; confusion between Bridge where to send the Photoshop files.

    Have you looked at the Bridge preferences > file type Associations? He could be riding your operating system file associations.

  • How far is the flow of work & GUI in 10 pre pre 8?

    In fact, I'm not sure that I ask in the right place - is equivalent to "Discussion" "Forum"? It's been a while since I've posted in the forum and things have changed a lot. I seem to be going round in circles. (You know you're in trouble when you know not even how to use the help forum :).

    My one question became two when I tried to use this forum.

    (1) how close is the flow of work & GUI in 10 pre pre 8? A PrE8 manual would be very helpful for PrE10? (Note: the latest version, I have worked with is pre 2 so I should know the basics.) I'm just learning where everything is now).

    (2) I would like to read all of the questions in the forum, but all I can see are securities under "a trend of issues." Is it the way it is now? I would like to extend the question list so I can read the first few sentences - is there a way to do? I used to learn a lot by reading the forums, but only titles are not very useful.

    First of all, you're in the right place - Discussions are the Forum. Now, if you do not see the wires themselves, you're probably in the preview mode. Just click on one of those and if playback, search the debates of the elements of the first and click on this hyperlink. You should then see all the threads of Discussion.

    Regarding countries 8 vs pre 10, they'll be close enough. Although there are a few changes with pre 10 (for most things like more project Presets, etc), the general course will be almost identical. Some operations may take their "button" in a slightly different place and with a little, the syntax might have changed. In general, things pretty much always works the same way. All the main concepts NLE (of Non-linear editing) will always be applied.

    Today, Steve Grisetti, our tireless MOD here, has a book of pre 10 updated through Muvipix.com, and it has been updated for the new program, pre 10, so what it will cover what changes little there.

    Good luck

  • Optimal working file type: PSD vs JPG

    Hello.

    I have a little. Photos JPG of a 72 dpi digi cam and 3264 x 2448 px.

    I'll be cutting the size of these photos for the web at 1400 x 700 (via culture) and will make a few adjustments to over/under exposure, filtering for effect, possibly add layers of text etc.

    When you use cost-of-the-camera jpg, I always wondered if it is better to convert a JPG of origin to PSD before all the manipulations above before you save it as a JPG for the web. Or is it better to simply fill in all operations for the original JPG and ONCE it is save as jpg for the web?

    ALL the arguments for and against were greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    In this case, it wouldn't matter. However, if you saved as a jpg file and worked on it for a few weeks, a few hours each day. In the meantime, he can make a difference according to the picture.

    Several times to save a jpg file throws the color data to compress the file.

    TIFF and psd however are lossless formats. No data is discarded.

    Also keep in mind of the JPEGs do not support layers, the living text, styles, transparency, etc.

    So my advice under the generic name as it is, is to use psd or tiff for archiving and jpg for sharing.

    As for any rule, the rules can be broken. What works for you is so fine as long as you're aware of what's going on.

  • How to check link flow control works on EqualLogic?

    I recently had to disable DCB on different switches did not fully support DCB.  Now I want to ensure that EqualLogic Arrays use correctly the link flow control.  I remember a message in the event log earlier who said that flow control is enabled on all interfaces, but I wonder if there is an easier way and makes it more definitive to me to check if flow control is enabled and working on the EqualLogic arrays.  The firmware version is 7.0.9.  I have enabled in the EqualLogic group DCB (as recommended by Dell) and disabled on Ethernet switches.  Thank you.

    Hello

    You need to check the switches, they should show it is activated or not.   EQL paintings will never SEND a pause frame to the switch, it will however, respond to the flowcontrol if make him recover from the switch.

    Note: Not all switches support send flowcontrol.

    Hello

    In Photoshop, you should just be able to take the. PSD image format by selecting file > save as > and in the drop down menu to different formats, select what you would like.

  • Export of work plans that jpg randomly adds a pixel to the document

    I created a document of 10 pages to 1200px x 1200px. When I export the pages as jpg at 72 dpi for web, some of the files become a randomly added pixel. So the first page will be 1200 x 1200 properly but the 2nd page is 1200 x 1201, and the third is 1201 x 1201 and the fourth is 1200 x 1200, etc.. I have confirmed that all pages are the same size (1200 x 1200) and I made sure the default units are defined in pixels. Anyone know what could be causing this? Strangely if I select 150 dpi as output all come out as it should to 2500 x 2500 with no extra pixels. I hope someone can help me with this, as it is screwing up placing the images on the website. I've have to run a batch every time to resize them at 1200 x 1200.

    Here is a picture showing what I mean.

    AddedPixel.jpg

    check each work plan's sitting a measure specific pixel, not 4613.77px like you have one shown. Make sure that all work plans are a specific position X and Y pixel whole values for example 4613px. as AI allows them to sit at randome positions.

  • How to save a psd to jpg, gif or png?

    I made a banner for my Etsy Shop in Photoshop CC with clip art, texts and digital documents. When I tried to download on Etsy, he said that the psd files are not supported, so I need to save it in jpg, gif or png. How can I do this? Thank you!

    File > save as... Choose one or all three types of files

    or

    File > export > save for Web and select the file Type, as well as metadata (file information) you want to include.

    In both cases, you keep the original layered PSD if you need to make future changes. Never flatten them.

  • Flow of work presentation action causes the "presentation presentation processing, please wait."

    I have a workflow with a string field I want to offer as a dropdown of the results of a SQL database. I created an action to query data that is passed to a value of SQL: Database. The action script is below to:

    Queries on MGMTDB

    var results = new Array();

    var SingleResult;

    var query = 'SELECT TemplateOS, TemplateVersion FROM TableName';

    var QueryResults = MGMTDB.readCustomQuery (query);

    for each (QueryResults SingleResult)

    {

    model var = SingleResult.getProperty ("TemplateOS") + "" + SingleResult.getProperty ("TemplateVersion");

    System.Debug ("getTemplateNames:" + model);

    Results.push (template);

    }

    return results;

    However, as soon as I add the action to a property of presentation, the work flow forever "presentation of treatment." The action itself works fairly quickly. I've added it to a workflow of test as part of his scheme, and I retrieve the table desired channels instantly. It is only when it is used for the presentation he gives me a problem.

    Anyone has any ideas, what happens?

    This field is then used to calculate other areas? The issue may be that when first load your presentation can try to calculate the fields using entries zero. One way to avoid mistakes is to test the input null in every action parameters and returns the null value.

    (I am not English native, but please hang in there :))

    Dear friends,

    I'm looking for feedback to find out how to optimize my settings and workflows when it comes to edit and clean audio file.

    I am vocal recording speech (no singing) I'm looking for a sound that is as close to my natural voice.

    Material

    I'm working with mac Yosemite, I perception 220 external microphone and blast filter.

    Challenge

    1.

    The sound is not good (rate of rich and tight (the circumstances), but this isn't completely ecco and sound box)

    2 and because of editing between each sentences (remove/down the sounds of breathing level), as indicated that I can.

    I always find myself with a few abrupt words - ending in silence.

    3. to change either a 40-minute meditation I easily spend 25 to 30 hours to make sound 'good '. Is this normal?

    (and 2 hours to ensure that the flow of content correctly).

    Here's what I 'know' and do.

    Steps I do today and questions

    1 record

    Q= Latest news, I came across is: make sure that your waveform is between 0 and - 6 decibels?

    3. only one compression band.

    I try to fix the waveform to 0 and - 6 decibels during the application of only one compression band

    4. speech volume leveler

    Increase the volume using speech - medium volume leveler

    5. using silence, auto heal etc.

    I use the silence between the words/phrases, I use the lower level right after a word that turn into silence.

    I use auto heal, I cut if necessary, adjust decibels on words or phrases if the sound level is unbalanced.

    I will use the reverb?

    I'm happy to send a sample if it is useful?

    Thank you for reading this.

    And I am very grateful for the responses.

    Well, I listened to the samples. As I suspected, the untreated is more useful as the basic registration is concerned. You speak quietly enough, and I hear a lot of noise. I suppose a lot of it is noise preamp, and that initially, you must do two things. You must be not more than 200mm (8 '') from the microphone and speaking a little above and not directly to it. In addition, do it slightly higher or lower than your level of the mouth. This reduces the chances of the noise of 'breath' of your breath. And if the noise level with regard to the level of the signal is anything to go by, you need to increase the gain of the preamp for a bit (the "input" button on the preamp). That way you will end up by with a more "intimate" sound and less noise preamp. You will find yourself also with its less "room", and I don't think that is at the present time, help you a lot.

    The noise is less here, it is easy to treat. The most important thing to remember is that you should not try to get rid of all this - that sounds just unnatural and people are pretty put off by that - they like to listen to real people human. And it also means leaving the natural breath noise, even if you don't want them at a high level. This means that the noise reduction is concerned, is that you have to listen carefully to the results and expect to be move the sliders. Also you should not try to make any reduction at once; you will get much better results by removing only a little noise to one pass and then change the size of the FFT (personally I always get better with much larger settings) and then do another passage, also without taking much away. This at least three times and you will end up with much less noise, and there's not all this "pumping" between words. But as I said, don't remove it completely. You should aim for a noise about, let's say - 55dB when the peak level is closer to - 3dB or which sounds so - fine.

    Regarding monitoring, headphones are very well, and you have to wear them while you record, especially when configuring. By experimenting directly, you should easily be able to find a place where you don't cause problems for yourself and even more intimate sound. This is another advantage to be closer to a cardioid microphone (which is the perception) - you will have a slight sharpening of the bass to your voice closer you. There is a good reason for this, but I won't bore you with the details here. Don't have too high headphone level, or it could cross into the microphone and which will not help in the slightest.

    As much as any other treatment is concerned, you can find while using only a limiter to stop the major summits of the signal is all you need - it certainly shouldn't be; carefully recorded speech shouldn't need a lot of treatment at all.

    Hope that helps a little...

  • JPEG, psd, tiff? By default?

    I have thousands of pictures successfully imported in the Organizer. Very happy.

    I understand that the jpeg is lossy format. Should I convert all my photos in psd or tiff?

    I noticed that my pictures taken recently imported to the Organizer are still jpeg. Default how psd or tiff pictures?

    I use Windows 7, PSE11 and Panasonic Lumix FZ150. Thank you for reading this and for your help and guidance.

    mcdon47

    The initial import is in format stored on your camera. Most cameras offer RAW, JPEG, RAW + JPEG. If you are serious about your photography and you want to control the best then set your camera RAW or RAW + JPEG.

    Of the technical specification, your camera can store in "RAW / RAW + end / RAW + Standard / Fine / Standard. I suspect Fine / Standard are both being more compressed than fine standard JPEG formats. If it was me I would fix for RAW + Fine get both included the highest JPEG quality.

    But if you're happy with JPEG results taken by your camera, then by all means stick with this (Fine or Standard). The topic of TIF/PSD (lossless formats) becomes relevant when you change an image. And to ensure no additional compression, you must use one of these formats When you save your edited image. I usually use TIF for a final image or PSD so I'm on an image using layers (TIF can also store information layer but I'm never too sure if he adapts to each type of layer can produce a complete Photoshop PSE).

    See you soon,.

  • Flow of work-recommended way to manage exports for stock sites

    Dear all,

    Is there an efficient workflow - how someone came with, which could recommend to easily manage exports for site stock photography?

    The main problem is that if you download 10 images for example, 3 different sites you propably most will face different images accepted and rejected different from each site.

    You will need to change the settings for reupload the images rejected for a second trial, or even a third.

    And that's the exact point where takes it place problem.

    There must be an effective way to have in different folders (or smart or other albums), the same images with different status (rejected or accepted for instance, or red or green or other) and at the same time these images with differenet parameters (the ones you had to do in order to get images accepted) also keep in mind that images can have different keywords as well (in which case an image gets rejected due to Keywords).

    It is important to mention that files must correspond to the actual state of the images in the stocksite ultimately argued, about the status (accepted or not) and of course the settings. (its important in the end to know that in the site "A" you have exactly these images and site "B" others and so on.)

    Its safer than these 3 different folders (or smart or other albums) will eventually have the same images, but most of them will have different status, settings and keywords.

    The only way I've found to manage, is by creating export files using virtual copies to the services section of LR to publish. Note that for publication services, I used my hard drive.

    But the disadvantages of this way are:

    1. you double - triple (according to the number of site stock) files (at least they are virtual)

    2. when an image is rejected a site of stock and you mark the image as "marked to republish" coresponding even thow in lr, that it is clear what files have been rejected and should be edited and reissued, you can't follow them in the export folder, you need to export to a new folder evry time creating double - triple jpg files. I think it would be better if LR could automatically sync the folder showing somehow of the images marked for repubplish.

    Sorry for the long post, but how could it be smaller?

    Thanks in advance.

    Vasilis

    I suggest that you manage this with special key words - for example "alamy-Yes", "alamy-no", "nine alamy", "getty-Yes" etc... everything that works. You can change the properties of these specific keywords, double click it in the list of keywords, so that they are not included in the export.

    Then use smart collections of publication that refer to these keywords, also smart collections standard to view them in the context of the library. So you can see the photos you sold and which ones you want.

    If you want to keyword or set differently to stock different sites and requiring separate virtual copies. But the ideal is (I guess) to reach only version of an image that sells well to the many sites of stock.

  • Saving the file psd under jpg

    Hello all-

    I recently upgraded from PSE - 3-PES - 9.0 on my Intel MAC OSX 10.5.8 running.

    With PSE - 3, when I tried to save a psd in a jpg file, I click on file/save as and in the next window, select JPG.  When I did, the name of the file at the top of the window has changed from xxx.psd to xxx.jpg and the saved file resulting was, in fact, a jpg file.

    When I try the same thing with PSE - 9, the name of the file password "xxx.psd" to "copy.psd xxx.  The resulting file is saved as a jpg file, but with an extension ".psd".

    I went to "Saving Files"... "PES - 9 preferences window. I changed the "add a file Extension:' option 'Never' to 'Always' and click on 'OK'."  When I have opened this window, 'Append file Extension' was put on '' never. ''  I could not save the option "always."  Thus, the renamed files have always been "copy.psd xxx.

    Have I been missing something?  Is there anything else I need to do?  Or is this a bug in the PSE - 9?

    DRM for all thought-

    -Ddgt

    Yes, it's a bug in the mac version of PES 9. Just open the preference of saving files causes the pse added the file extension. You can enter or exit the editor, restart it all by pressing command-shift-option and keep the keys down until you see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do. So never back to this special preference.
