  Just installed Dreamweaver CS5 on my PC which runs on Windows XP Professional. He spent an hour and a half on the phone with Adobe for them to tell me that it is a microsoft program. I can't run the CS5 without the program of your stay there close. Adobe had me create another account on my computer and it will work on this, but I don't want to sign on and off different users in order to use my Dreamweaver. It is a file that is corrupted I need to delete?

  You can try to reset the Dreamweaver preferences.

  Following the file and the folder are removed from your system:

  / Users / your User Name/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver

  Rename the folder of Dreamweaver preferences, for example, Dreamweaver CS5.5 Old_Dreamweaver CS5.5 folder.

  / Users / your user name/Library/Preferences

  Rename the folder of Dreamweaver preferences, for example, Dreamweaver CS5.5 Old_Dreamweaver CS5.5 folder.

  Restore preferences in Dreamweaver CS4 and CS5, CS5.5

  Access the hidden library files Mac OS

  When Dreamweaver starts, it creates a new preferences file and the folder.

  If it helps doesnot, maybe you can try to create a new admin user account and check. If this is useful, you can try to uninstall and reinstall in the new user account.

• I uninstalled Dreamweaver CS5.5 and reinstalled and now I can not find or open my files websoite.

  When I installed first my Dreamweaver CS5.5, I took a class and using my instructor (4 years ago). When I tried to open and update my site yesterday (as I do every year for my small business) I got a message from Java Update I did.  Then, I got a message to uninstall and reinstall Dreamweaver I've done.  Now I can open the app, but I can not open my Web site files.  I see them on the menu, but they do not open.  I am on a Mac with os x Yosemite.  I think it has something to do with the managed sites, but after trying several things, I did more than a mess of things and I can not always open my files.  My site is still running on the remote server, but I can't do the updates that I need for my Web site for 2016. I wish there was someone in the Milwaukee area, that I could go to help me with this or someone who can guide me through it over the phone.

  Go to Site > new Site or manage Sites.

  Click your site definition.

  Click on the pencil icon to edit it.

  Click the servers tab.  See screenshot.

  Root directory is what your Web host told you to use.  If in doubt, contact your webhost.

  I can't explain why it will not be updated, but the 11.0.4 updater had a critical fix for SFTP: Adobe - Dreamweaver Support Center: Updaters. Before trying to install, check the current version of Dreamweaver you are using. On Windows, see help > about Dreamweaver. On a Mac, go to Dreamweaver > about Dreamweaver. The credits screen will tell you the version at the top number left.

  You say you want to be able to update Dreamweaver. The only way to do this is to subscribe to the creative cloud. Your version of Dreamweaver is older than 5 years, is no longer supported by Adobe and will never get any other beyond 11.0.4 updates.

  Looked up an article on Adobe by David Powers on making inquiries for window of different sizes (Tablet, iphone, android phone, computer) and it shows a button "Multiscreen". He also spoke of CS5.5. Is this available in 2015 CC? I already have a site for computer configuration and you want to see more nice on other devices using queries. In addition, the css needs to be outside or is it possible in the page code? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  The Multiscreen button used to launch the Multiscreen Preview Panel, which has been removed from Dreamweaver, several years ago. Dreamweaver CS5.5 also used to have a dialog box requests media that created a request file of media of the entire site that has imported three separate style sheets, one for the desktop, Tablet and mobile (as Nancy recalls correctly). The approach is therefore more recommended, and the treatment of requests for information in Dreamweaver CC 2015 is completely different. You create styles and inquiries using the Panel CSS Designer, and Visual Media Queries bar resizes Live View to show how the page will look at different screen sizes.

  However accurate my article on CS5.5 was at the time, he wrote, it is now completely obsolete. If you try to follow with the latest version of Dreamweaver, you'll be completely lost.

  Had to uninstall Dreamweaver CS5 because of weird things happening and lack of aspects of the case. Got all kinds of windows popup "cannot complete the operation...". ».

  Now I want to reinstall a clean version but when I opened Creative Suite 5 Design Premium, it only gives me the uninstall options, as well as Dreamweaver does not even appear in the list of products.

  Yet once, there no option to install or reinstall.

  I opened Adobe Support Advisor and clicked on the link to their solution, and here is the solution I got:

  This error occurs if you reinstall Photoshop CS4 when the Photoshop CS5, CS5.5 and Photoshop CS4 are already installed on your system. To properly reinstall Photoshop CS4, Photoshop CS4 first remove and then reinstall it.

  What the devil? I don't have a problem with Photoshop! So, I took the empty Dreamweaver folder that was always in my apps and moved to the trash. Always the same story.

  I have a subscription Adobe CC for InDesign, but am still ongoing for Photoshop and Dreamweaver CS5. Recently all migrated to a new iMac running Yosemite, and since then, Dreamweaver does more (no problems with Photoshop). See screen shot of the error message. I thought that the simple answer would be to reinstall but can't figure out how. I don't have an installation disc - CS5.5 was a download. But when I log into my account, Adobe, CS5 products are not listed. I vaguely remember my manager has bought a lot of licenses for us user, and I have a note of the serial numbers.

  If you have the info set, you should be able to use the cleanup tool to remove the program all together (migrating from one machine to another rarely ever works), then download the correct version of Adobe, install and enter your registration information to activate...

  dw cs5 serial number is a version of upgrade (precedent).  After you have entered your serial number you can select the previous version (in a drop-down list), and then enter the serial number of the previous version.

  Enter the version that is appropriate at the right time and proceed with the installation.
