FLV Player works locally but not on the site

I did a Media Player for the site I maintain and FLV Player works on my machine, but it is not even appear online. What I've done wrong? Here's the url:

ruarts.org/f/Media drive flash/content/rcca player.html

I think that you have hard-coded some incorrect relative paths.

For example, one of your SWF files is here:
http://ruarts.org/f/media%20player%20flash/content/frog%20bride.swf

And the link to one of your FLV files is the following:
http://ruarts.org/users/stmcmast/documents/media%20player%20flash/Movs/respond%20PARK%2010 20%201.flv

But the real path to this same FLV is the following:
http://ruarts.org/f//media%20player%20flash/Movs/respond%20PARK%201020%201.FLV

If it works in Firefox Safe mode and then disable all extensions (Tools > Modules > Extensions) and then try to find out who is causing by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.

Close and restart Firefox after each change through "file > exit ' (Mac: ' Firefox > leave";) Linux: "file > exit ')

Alternatively, you can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • SVG locally but not on the Site work

    Hey everybody,

I have a few Animations of edge and they work perfectly when I load them locally in the browser. But I got their load in my site, who have SVG files in them appear not. The PNGs appear but not the SVG. What happens in all browsers. The interactive generated using ONLY PNG files work perfectly know the javascript code for the edge works because the animation is displayed but the 'empty' image shows instead of my beautiful SVG. I load in my HTML page using an iFrame. The iFrame would be the question although it works very well with Animations of edge made by using only the png?

    Any advice? Is this normal?

    Web

Already, it looks like you're heading in the right direction.  Not all Web servers are configured to the SVG server correctly, so one of the first things you should check to make sure that your server is responding correctly SVG.  You can check by looking at Inspector Chrome or Firebug to ensure that it is served as img/svg, not text or any other format.

    Hope that helps,

  • Flash site works locally but not online (uploaded)

We bought a portfolio flash template and have customized with our images, videos, etc..

When test us locally on our computer (using different browsers) everything works perfectly. We downloaded the site over to our server and when you go to the address online, it does not (shows a progression of charger, but it stops and nothing happens).

However, we have transferred the original model we bought and it works perfectly in line.

The model is made up of and index.html, various .swfand various .xml we changed according to the instructions of the model (it also contains a java scripts folder, we have not touched).

What is wrong with our modified model - it works locally without problem...!

    Thanks for your help

Thanks Ned and adninjastrator for your help.

    @ adninjastrator: I'm testing site:

-first of all, simply by clicking on the index.html file that opens a web browser (I use different to see if it works in all of them)-> this way everything works fine.

-J' downloaded "Flash Player Debugger" (debugger contained Macintosh Flash Player 11.2 projector) - and opened the main.swf (which opens the main Web site - since the other .swf open what seems only areas of the site in single colours but no content) - I don't want to download the 10.3 version because you tell me and uninstall the newest one for this one. When I opened the site in this way all works fine but the ActionScript error message I posted above appears when I browse the site.

I will read all of the messages that you sent me and specially the last one and will make account back after trying the various options.

@ Ned: Ok I'll go through the debug version of the browser to see how it goes - I guess that this will be the rub pointing...

We bring you back I have try all this stuff - CHEERS!

  • SWF works locally but not on server

I have a problem with a SWF, xml-powered. It plays very well when I test the site locally, but not when it is uploaded to a server. Here is a link to the page. There are a lot of posts on other forums describing the same problem and this, although I can't find the right solution. The only thing that he convinced me, is that it is probably a path problem. I bought online and instead of a swf file and an xml there is a dozen of each to make it work. In addition, there are about 40 .as files. (customize it to make it "easier").  I intend to use this headdress of banner on several pages, it will be very solutions download all these files for each page I do. I checked with the support for this product and I was told I could make a directory of flash, only the xml for each new page of duplication files and linking the XML to swf files. Otherwise, the support response was very short and useless. I renamed each path in the xmls so it should be good. As I said, the file works locally, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I posted in the forums before adobe, and I alwas found answers helpful and kind.

    Thank you

My guess is a problem with the path of dot notation. I have always fought with that. Most likely your local computer uses a virtual directory named VAFOINS_NEW (http://127.0.0.1/VAFOINS_NEW/) and your points of production directly in the directory VAFOINS_NEW (http://somesite.com/). Path of point rating that you use on your Web site is http://somesite.com/VAFOINS_NEW/. Paths of the dowry are a pain and who invented them should retire like he or she has done enough damage.

I usually do something like this (I'm typing from memory so there will very probably be error of syntax or two, but I hope you get the idea):

  • Break the JavaScript works locally but not on

    Hello

Since it is a question of javascript I have of course this is the right forum, but since I've always had great help here I thought I would give it ago, and as far I know, it's associate... DW?

So I have a Web site that has been online for years, helping him with a javascript scroller that I found online, a long while ago.

Yesterday I made a few changes to the site, who did not (as far as I know) involve playing with external javascript or stylesheet links or script files, but suddenly the scroll does not work anymore.

Curiously however it works locally in Design to live view and in all browsers in preview locally too (Server MAMP usinag)... but just not online.

    Why it suddenly stop working?

Here's al link to a lighter version of the problem, and I would appreciate any help anyone can offer:

    Thank you much in advance,

    Katrina

It seems that the code has been compressed to a single line at a time of your .js files.

It is most likely the problem. Make sure to disable all reduce the modules that you have meet and see if you can't get these scripts to download in the correct format, multiline.

  • App works locally but not on website

    Hello

I have a Java application that was built by a third party, and my job is to get this on a web site. To do this, I had a snippet of HTML code, one. JAR and da. DAT file which seems to be called by the app. I tested it locally on my computer and it works well. After downloading to the web server, I get an error message

    NumberFormatException
    For input string: "i>>?<html>"

(the question mark is actually upside down, the > > really is a character)

At first glance, this looks like a common problem with UTF-8 file run when the file itself contains only ANSI characters (or vice versa). So I made sure that the. HTM and the. DAT file are stored in 8-bit ANSI (and not 16-bit Unicode) format. However, this does not solve the issue. The. File HTM itself also holds the ISO-8859-1 directive. The server prepares to deliver UTF - 8 by default. I can't change that because of a huge field of other dependencies.

So I do not know if my suspicion is correct - is it in fact a question of character? Or is it something else? And what options I have to fix that before returning to the authors of original code (a bulky, not because I expect to be unable to speak to the developer, but may instead need to go through layers of bureaucracy and the need to explain the technical problem over and over again).

BTW: the test file is on http://www.neusob.de/karlskron/gemeinde/probestimmzettel.htm

Appreciate any help and the thought that you could provide.

    THX
    Hubert

Look, your applet wants to load the file http://www.neusob.de/karlskron/gemeinde/bewerber.dat

This file does not exist on the web server. Follow the URL and you will see that the web server provides an HTML stream instead telling you that it cannot find the requested file.

Your code tries to parse the HTML and fails, as it attempts to decode a number (NumberFormatException!), where there is none.

  • Shared Object working locally, but not online

My game saves your high score using the sharedobject object and the test it locally it works fine, but when the swf file is published and played online, it does not record the score of salvation. Is there some kind of new security problem with the registration of shared objects on the hard drives of the people now?

you only need a sharedobject, but it will not cause a failure to use two.

However, your 3rd line of code is problematic and should cause an error when you download (and it is no longer a sharedobject that hiscore associated with this server).

    You must use:

    {if (OwlHiScore.Data.HiScore)}

    hisc.mainScore.text = (OwlHiScore.data.HiScore) m:System.NET.SocketAddress.ToString ();

    }

What is "pooching this ' with FF and IE?

You have access to a different server/host?

If so, duplicate the page and the files and upload them to the server in a test site.

If it works on another server, I would push harder on the hosting company to correct MIME types in the .htaccess file.

If it doesn't work, maybe there was a problem of encoding with the videos themselves?

I'm kind of the reached here, sorry.

I would also fix errors html couple you have, just to be sure that this isn't some sort of Caprice caused by those 100%.

I know what the problem is.  You do not have a style.css file in your folder root (see the name exactly!).  I suggest you copy your style that you gave above to a text file and save it as: styles.css.  When you have done that, upload it to your folder root (essentially in the same folder as your index.html).  Reload your page and see what happens.  Post back with a new link.

Please also explain what a {www.care.cc} has to do with your site.  I'm not a link it here because it seems to be a spam.
