• Problems highlighted in navigation Mode

  I'm writing an app for BB OS 6/7. It's a multiple-choice type quiz app and I set up navigation mode to pick and choose the different choices. I'm having a small problem which choices do not highlight when you scroll over them. Navigation mode works, it's just that you can't see where you are, who has ease of use issues.

• WebWorks widget navigation mode work only not in ripple or Phone Simulator

  Hi, this is my first Bb Widget/WebWorks app, and I am currently having problems with the navigation mode.  Basically, it does not ripple, or in the simulator of v6.0 9700 device or on a real device of 9700 after packaging and signing of the package.

  I find these forums and found a how to on a policy which could have disabled Javascript on the phone, but my camera is not a policy, and it is not connected to a corporate server.

  The application uses nine HTML files, including the file index.html.  Here is an excerpt of the file index.html.

  To check widget works, I have included this javascript call to display the name of the application from the config.xml file, and when the page appears in the training, the Simulator or on the device, the name of the application appears.

  The index.html page provides a list of items that have a link to the other pages.  Here is a sample of some of the links.  According to the documentation of WebWorks, the element will automatically receive focus when the user navigates to the screen in the application.  Just to be safe, I've added option, x-blackberry-Focus = "true" to some of the links to try to force the focus navigation, but it does not work.

  Essentially, when the application loads in Wellington, I can navigate the application because the training allows me to use the mouse pointer in Windows to control what is on the screen of the virtual device.

  When I package, sign and load the application on the Simulator, the Windows mouse pointer is of no use in the Simulator, so at the start of my application, I try to use the cursor keys to navigate through the page, but the elements do not receive focus.  Of course, the cursor keys work in the Simulator, because they move the cursor autour, let me choose the icons etc.

  The only way I can get a pointer to appear in my app is when I press the menu button on the simulated phone and choose the Select option, which then displays a text on-screen cursor, and then moving the trackpad, the cursor becomes a pointer that I can move and then click a link properly following the href attribute.

  I loaded the application signed on my device and the behavior is exactly the same with the Simulator.  I must be doing something wrong because I searched with Google and have not been able to find similar experiences.  My config.xml file is missing a value?

  I'm sorry, I should have said something too.  Ripple itself does emule not the trackpad navigation.  So, you won't see focus moving in your content when you try to interact with the trackpad (it does nothing).

  However the Simulator certainly should allow you to test this feature.

• Why the browser (FF42) is not as it is in navigation mode in a normal window on a mac?

  Based on article at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/control-center-site-privacy-and-security-firefox that the screen should display only in the center of control in private browsing mode. However, on a Mac, this shield appears (and it is functional) in private browsing mode and must not be used on websites that have integrated a twitter calendar to see this content. On a computer Windows, the shield appears only in private browsing mode and not in mode private, there is no shield and integrated twitter timelines appear as they should. Is this a bug on the Mac of FF42 version?

  My problem was that the protection of follow-up (and "shield)' appears in a window that was not a private window - as a result, your step #1 did nothing to correct my problem (I had already tried that before).

  The solution to my problem was just check and correct the following:

• Y at - it a command option / make private launch default navigation mode?

  I've updated my Foxfire and have now enhanced protection of the privacy of browser and follow-up. He reminds and poking around by clicking on the buttons to find a setting option to make private browsing, the default start mode. Is it possible to do?

  Hi MrSaturdayNight, assuming you want to get more protection, monitoring, there are a few options:

  • You can customize your firefox shortcut on the desktop or the taskbar to open firefox directly in private browsing mode: right-click the shortcut "mozilla firefox", go to properties, and at the end of the target line that should hold them the way to the firefox program folder add " -private"
  • You can enable protection followed not only during private browsing, but in normal windows as hollow a 'hidden' preference: enter on: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named privacy.trackingprotection.enabled. Double-click it and change its value to true.
  • You can set firefox don't remember history in the menu > options > sign confidentiality in order to always run in private browsing mode. However you will not be able to open all normal windows or record the history and passwords if you have defined this mode: confidentiality, and-not-track browsing history settings

• Private Safari navigation mode by default

  With Safari (on El Capitan), is there a way to set the default private browsing mode?  I know that I can open a new window to private, but subsequent reboots of Safari back to normal mode by default.

  With the silent disappearance of the Browse button in the bar at the top of the content viewer, another interesting feature of little seems to have disappeared. In older viewers, could tap the title folio in the top bar quickly three times, to reset all extensions in the article back to the top. A handy feature, especially if you're testing a lot of folio or presenting one to a customer. Is there something new to trigger this? Type in my hands, pull my right ear lobe and press the Apple logo on my iPad, whispering "Adobe Rocks"?

  BTW, the Browse button is always shown and described in the folio resident tutorial on the application of the content viewer.

  The triple pressure should still be there, it's really complicated to get right.

  Hi, I just want to know why the development-based navigation is anemic OS7. I checked the page milestone: SDK 2.3, but I can not find if the development-based navigation has been resolved. Any news about this?

  There are several technical reasons why the nav mode is slow on OS7 are largely related to the webkit browsers change that happened on 6.0.

• Too slow navigation Focus mode

  Hello-

  I've been playing with an application Webworks using the navigation mode of the focus with about 10 items HTML P, each with a x-blackberry-Focus = attribute tru. There is no Javascript code and that a CSS rule of p:hover to change the color of the P elements as they focus and blur.

  Unfortunately scrolling of inherent latency the OS5, 6, 7 simulators and devices is much more sensitive than the equivalent operation in a Java-based application. All the done app changes the color of the text element P in response to the touchpad, but it feels laggy and slow compared to the eye-catching native apps.

  I followed eagerly Webworks because called Widgets, hoping to one day be able to use web development on different platforms, but I can't really imagine any customer to implement with the slowness of a drop-down list Webworks and will therefore have to look at other avenues of development.

  Everyone knows about similar problems? I searched the forum and there are a lot of posts on JS/UI thread to block, but none on the slow general feeling of Webworks applications developed.

  Yes, this is a known issue... It was expected to be fixed.  The fix is moved most of our navigation code in JavaScript where it will go faster than Java.

  We have tried to make these changes completed in time for DevCon, but with all the patches of memory, that we had to hit in a follow-up of the liberation

  There is also a very experimental branch in my github repo where (if you're at it) you can try some of the prototype changes.  From my experiences, which makes fast scrolling as native on devices BB6 and BB7.

  The code of my Repo is VERY experimental and is not intended to be used mainsteam.  But you can check that you can see how much improvement is made.

• Private browsing mode does not work

  I've been without a pc for a while, now have a new with Windows 10. Just downloaded latest Firefox. I put it to always open in private browsing mode. But it does not work. When I close the browser, and then re - opening, my start page is not display the mask or indicate private browsing. I can get it in the usual way, just right-click on the icon that gives you options to open the new window or a private.
  I tried to turn on/off the navigation mode private the several times, still no luck.

  Probably, you won't see the purple mask of private browsing mode when you are in permanent PB mode because all windows are automatically in PB mode.
  You will see the mask when Firefox is started in normal mode and you open a new private window.

  Hello. When I download something in private browsing mode, I understand that it does not appear in the download window.
  How to cancel a download without closing the private window?
  I don't want to close all the windows because I have several tabs open and it will be really bulky to close all tabs and trying to open all again just so that I can cancel a download.

  You can perform the same operations for downloads in navigation mode as in your regular browser window. There are no pop-up downloads, but should open a separate tab for downloads in private browsing. Alternatively, while in a private window, you can enter topic: download to your address bar, and it should show you your downloads that are spend in your private browsing windows.

  On another note, is there a reason why you are using Firefox version 24? The current version of Firefox is 32.0.2

  New incognito under file isn't there. I don't know how to get into the web on Firefox.

  I googled my question and found a similar question with a response, but the link to the add-on has been disabled by an administrator (someone tell me why?).

  I want to have one tab of private browsing open when I do my banking. I want the other normal tabs (cnn, reddit, etc) so I can connect without hassle. When I click on 'Start private browsing' close all tabs... It makes me very angry that this simple option does not exist.

  You can open another instance of Firefox with its own profile folder if you want to use the private access to specific sites navigation mode.
