  A few weeks ago, I clicked on a link for something that has downloaded some kind of malware.  I got rid of it I think.  In the initial phase of panic to realize I did something bad, I passed the default Firefox browser.  Firefox is always the default browser, even if Safari opens if I click on it.  Links in emails, etc. by default in Firefox.  I have or the malware did something so I can't get back to Safari by default.  When I go in the preferences and default browser it is the image of a list click on but it is quite empty, just a check mark.  How can I get Safari back to my default?  I am slightly tech challenged, but would like to help resolve this.

  Start your computer in Mode safe.  This by pressing command + R right after hearing the startup chime.  System preferences.  You can change your default browser?

• Problems highlighted in navigation Mode

  I'm writing an app for BB OS 6/7. It's a multiple-choice type quiz app and I set up navigation mode to pick and choose the different choices. I'm having a small problem which choices do not highlight when you scroll over them. Navigation mode works, it's just that you can't see where you are, who has ease of use issues.

  Hi, this is my first Bb Widget/WebWorks app, and I am currently having problems with the navigation mode.  Basically, it does not ripple, or in the simulator of v6.0 9700 device or on a real device of 9700 after packaging and signing of the package.

  The application uses nine HTML files, including the file index.html.  Here is an excerpt of the file index.html.

  To check widget works, I have included this javascript call to display the name of the application from the config.xml file, and when the page appears in the training, the Simulator or on the device, the name of the application appears.

  The index.html page provides a list of items that have a link to the other pages.  Here is a sample of some of the links.  According to the documentation of WebWorks, the element will automatically receive focus when the user navigates to the screen in the application.  Just to be safe, I've added option, x-blackberry-Focus = "true" to some of the links to try to force the focus navigation, but it does not work.

  Essentially, when the application loads in Wellington, I can navigate the application because the training allows me to use the mouse pointer in Windows to control what is on the screen of the virtual device.

  When I package, sign and load the application on the Simulator, the Windows mouse pointer is of no use in the Simulator, so at the start of my application, I try to use the cursor keys to navigate through the page, but the elements do not receive focus.  Of course, the cursor keys work in the Simulator, because they move the cursor autour, let me choose the icons etc.

  The only way I can get a pointer to appear in my app is when I press the menu button on the simulated phone and choose the Select option, which then displays a text on-screen cursor, and then moving the trackpad, the cursor becomes a pointer that I can move and then click a link properly following the href attribute.

  I loaded the application signed on my device and the behavior is exactly the same with the Simulator.  I must be doing something wrong because I searched with Google and have not been able to find similar experiences.  My config.xml file is missing a value?

  I'm sorry, I should have said something too.  Ripple itself does emule not the trackpad navigation.  So, you won't see focus moving in your content when you try to interact with the trackpad (it does nothing).

  However the Simulator certainly should allow you to test this feature.

  There is no option in Acrobat reader to customize playback mode when you start the player, but you can configure for a specific file by using the "view original" feature of acrobat, but which apply only to this specific pdf.

  Hi MrSaturdayNight, assuming you want to get more protection, monitoring, there are a few options:

  • You can customize your firefox shortcut on the desktop or the taskbar to open firefox directly in private browsing mode: right-click the shortcut "mozilla firefox", go to properties, and at the end of the target line that should hold them the way to the firefox program folder add " -private"
  • You can enable protection followed not only during private browsing, but in normal windows as hollow a 'hidden' preference: enter on: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named privacy.trackingprotection.enabled. Double-click it and change its value to true.
  • You can set firefox don't remember history in the menu > options > sign confidentiality in order to always run in private browsing mode. However you will not be able to open all normal windows or record the history and passwords if you have defined this mode: confidentiality, and-not-track browsing history settings

  Thanks for asking! It seems that you use some custom settings for history and an option enabled lock you in a permanent private browsing mode. Here's what to do:
  Go to Menu > settings > privacy there, uncheck the box that says always "use Private Browsing Mode. See the screenshot if you can't find it.

  I don't know if you ask about Safari on a Mac or on your iPhone?

  Mac (OSX):

  In Safari > Preferences > General > adjust remove history items according to preferences. Manual setting will keep your story until you delete them manually.

  iPhone (iOS):

  By default, Safari stores your story until you remove them.

  NOTE: make sure that you are not in private browsing mode. No story will be saved in private browsing mode.

  In private browsing mode when the Safari theme turns to dark gray. To disable tap the square icon (bottom-right) overlap and then tap PRIVATE (in the lower left).

  Based on article at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/control-center-site-privacy-and-security-firefox that the screen should display only in the center of control in private browsing mode. However, on a Mac, this shield appears (and it is functional) in private browsing mode and must not be used on websites that have integrated a twitter calendar to see this content. On a computer Windows, the shield appears only in private browsing mode and not in mode private, there is no shield and integrated twitter timelines appear as they should. Is this a bug on the Mac of FF42 version?

  My problem was that the protection of follow-up (and "shield)' appears in a window that was not a private window - as a result, your step #1 did nothing to correct my problem (I had already tried that before).

  The solution to my problem was just check and correct the following:

     privacy.trackingprotection.pbmode.enabled = true  "

  I believe that the question involves this line of the config:

  AAA authorization exec ciscoadmins group Ganymede + local authenticated by FIS

  It creates a list of method named for permission. IOS wants to see this list of method specified on your lines (or he wants to use the list of default method). I suggest that you include this line under the vty lines:

  authorization exec ciscoadmins

  or use this line in the section of the aaa:

  AAA authorization exec default group Ganymede + local authenticated by FIS

• Problems for the Navigation links of default bootstrap to scale horizontally

  I tried to get the text links on the Navigation bar default bootstrap to scale horizontally (links to cross screen width to get the largest). I tried to change the text-align to Center and justify, and see that the change in menu reduced (under 767px). What I am doing wrong? It this something that can be done? Any help would be much appreciated.

  Wait a minute: you use Vista and Windows XP Home edition or you installed Vista only? I didn't understand exactly what you wrote.

  If you are using Vista just go to BIOS settings and set SATA controller in AHCI mode. After restarting Vista several AHCI drivers will be installed and Vista work well will win.
  If you use two operating systems, it can be problematic, because you can not set on AHCI back. You will get the blue screen after each start up Windows XP Home edition.
