  I m using oracle 10g R2, Oracle 10 g developer db & MS. Windows server 2003 R2.
  I exported a dmp file from a database database that was running on the AR8MSWIN1256 database character set.
  I created a new database and imported this DMP file in the database that has the same platform, I also put the NLS_LANG in the registry of windows as AMERICAN_AMERICA. AR8MSWIN1256, characters in database as database AR8MSWIN1256 & game as AL16UTF16 national character.
  
  I am facing a problem
  When I run any report Oracle it shows unusual characters such as Italian or German in the report (PDF format client-side)
  However, when I save the data through the oracle Forms, it allows to save and retrieve in Arabic (Egyptian).
  But it shows the unusual result in report
  
  How can I solve this problem.

  1. go to REGEDIT ==> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE ==> ==> ORACLE ==> KEY_DEVSUITEHOME SOFTWARE

  2. SELECT NLS_LANG: UNITED ARAB EMIRATES ARABIC_UNITED. AR8MSWIN1256.

  3. make your regional & language settings as Arab environment.

  4. set all fonts must be in Tahoma.

  5 generate an RDF file in Report Builder and then convert the REX.

  6. Finally the generated reports.

  I have a problem with the pdf reports.

  I tried to make the steps of Apache FOP missing Oracle Apex installable for 5.0 and 5.0.1 APEX APEX

  It's something wrong with my settings 'external (Apache FOP)'.

  When I download the report I .pdf file.

  I can't open this file with the reader of pdf, but Notepad ++ open it.

  In the first line is: "ORA-20001: the print engine could not be reached because the URL is incorrect or a proxy URL must be specified."

  I have:

  • APEX 5.0 (c:\apex)
  • ADR 3.0.1 (c:\OracleREST-
    • files apex.xml, apex_al.xml, apex_pu.xml and apex_rt.xml are in C:\OracleREST\pathtoconfig\apex\conf,
    • defaults.XML, fop.xml are C:\OracleREST\pathtoconfig\apex)
  • Apache Tomcat 7.0.64 (C:\apache-tomcat-7.0.64)
  • Apache FOP 2.0 (C:\ApacheFOP\fop-2.0) - I don't now how to bind with APEX, ADR and Tomcat

  My fop2pdf.jar file is located in C:\apache-tomcat-7.0.64\webapps\apex\WEB-INF\lib

  If I use ADR as print server is OK, but I need to use non-English characters.

  You use DB Oracle 11g or later? If so, you must enable Network Services to use the configured Print Services.

  You should not use "External Apache FOP", but you can "Oracle REST Data Services" as an option "print server". But, you should open the ords.war file and replace the Apache FOP associated jar files so that it supports non-English characters.

ASK : if I agree that Apache FOP comes with ADR supports the Base-14 fonts and it's more issue ADR as Oracle APEX, but it will help you qualify for Oracle APEX + ADR as users of at least the next version ADR print server comes with Apache FOP 1.1 and the xmlgraphics - commons-1.5.jar. This will help the people setting up fonts and support for complex Scripts for example, Arabic, Hebrew, hindi and Southeast Asian scripts using Apache FOP comes with ADR as "print server".

  Hello

  Looks like its trying to make something that becomes larger than the page size. try to comment on any table / image that can be the cause of this, in order to eliminate it as a possibility.

  We would like to schedule a report for one of our Application teams, we want it in a mode like,.

  "every day the report should be generated with data from the previous day (24 hours)" automatically and above all it should be given the day before of the Application. (i.e.) if we choose 6 may 2013, while the report should have exactly 6 data and it should be built on onwards (daily) may 7 with only have the data the day before and the day to come on the next day.

  Can someone help us make same pls...

  If you have the generated report and you want to demand, it should be a fairly simple process.  Click the box with the three points in next to the slot:

  

  Then select the time period you want by clicking on the Edit button:

  

  

  Note that as well as "The last 24 hours", you can use the "last day 1»  Run this once a day as a regular report (for example "Start of Day" that she will work daily at 08:00) and you will achieve a daily report for the last 24 hours, any day it is.

• How to see the Greek characters inside a report PDF (made with XML Publisher)

  I just patched my e Business Suite (ver. 11.5.9) in order to use XML Publisher 5.6.3.
  It works fine, but I have a big problem when I want to see Greek characters inside my report; rather than see the Greek characters, I see only "?"
  
  I tried to add some fonts under the responsibility of the administrator of the XML Publisher after the Doc ID: 373377.1 'How to install a font using XML Publisher administrator', but my problem remains intact: I do not see my Greek characters
  
  Do I need to add all the other fonts on the file system? and where? (under what path), or I put something at the level of responsibility XML Publisher administrator (under the Administration link)?
  
  Any help will be appreciated, because it is very urgent to know how to solve this problem.

  Check the value of the variable $AF_CLASSPATH, then make sure that JRE_TOP/lib/fonts belongs to this variable env (in addition to $CLASSPATH).

  -Add a button to the region to your page.
  -Use the HTML with Action 'Redirect Page in this Application' button
  -The redirected Page should be the same page, as the button, process and report should all be on the same page.
  - And use them as request the same value that you used in the State of the process.
  If you give 'DOWNLOAD' as the name of the button. Use this same State of the process.

I put this path as DESFORMAT before calling the repot, but when the report is run, it is saved on the server (application server), if the same path exist on the server (for example, c:\temp), otherwise it gives an error.

  I guess all the pdf files that you generate in the c:\temp directory. Otherwise if the files are in c:\temp\data then you will need to change in the webutil.cfg file. So, according to your webutil.cfg file the function call can be like that...

  I would like to know if it is possible for a PDF report created in BI Publisher, update manually after having been exported.
  
  For example, we will use a webservice in siebel to fill out a report of a certain account. The account manager will have to make a manual change to the report (mark a checkbox) after that the report is exported and sent to the client.
  Is it possible that the account manager can do the update and the report PDF is read-only for the customer.

  BI Publisher allows you to password protect PDF files with passwords separate read/write - if the account manager knows the password he can update the document while the end user cannot. Generally the formfields are eliminated or put read-only there is also an option to keep and make the modifable. The options are in the configuration/document configutaitn file...

  I don't know what application EBS, Peoplesosft, Standarlone you use - for the stand-alone version that is under configurations.

  We have an obligation to create a personalized program check Printing XML Publisher and who needs to be integrated with program Format Standard.
  I heard that we cannot print report XML report/PDF directly to the Manager of competitor. If it is true, I would like to know the reason or any pointer where I can get that.

  I know that open a PDF in labview exceeded then discussed here. However, I couldn't find anything about closing a pdf file.

  Here's the deal!

  I'm generating a pdf report after I finished my test, then I save and open this pdf report. If for any reason any user retest the SN even while the last report is still open my report crashes because it is always open.

  I would be happy if I could detect that report pdf is opened, and then displays a message saying to close the file, but the ideal is to close the file before the accident.

  I have a problem, according to this fine tool.

  I wan't to report pdf and I have problem with alignment photo picture and graphic data.

  Example report shows how do not. I would like to have the table and graph in aligned at the same height on the same page.

  First, you insert your image with 'position = Right (textwrap) '.

  Second, you must insert the table.

  I tried with a newer version of Exaprom PDF, but this is supposed to work with the old version.
