Font sizes in menus and dialog boxes

Is there a way I can increase the size of fonts in menus and dialog boxes. Now, they are so small that I have to resort to using the magnifying glass to 400% to read options. And it really makes using the complex menus.

Hello

If you use Photoshop CC then surely you can do.

In PS CC 2015 do theses.

Open PS

Click on edit-> preferences-> Interface (Windows)

You will find an option to user interface scaling-> that would be automatic, make sure that 200%.

If you use a MAC then right click on photoshop and select open in a low resolution.

How can I turn off the hand-with-a-pen-icon that appear in the entries of the form (for example, text boxes, drop-down menus and check boxes) in IE 10? I'm running updated Windows 7, 64-bit desktop with without a touchscreen. I have the Wacom tablet with a pen, but I disabled the handwriting feature in Windows.

And also how to disable query points that appear in the scroll bars in the browser? Sometimes the mark points will blink, then this hand-with-a-pen-icon appears between. It does not appear in other browsers or programs and its was not in IE 9.

-It is very annoying, especially when dealing with checkboxes and drop-down menus, I know never it is checked or not. --

I have not found all the settings for this in IE 10 settings or control panel.

I have w7 x 64 office services and tablet and writing are disabled.
However, I see the shit 'hand with a pencil icon' in all the check boxes and drop down menus.
It is not even recognizable on small boxes and is a total bore.
I run my desktop PC with w7 x 64 for over a year and the symbol appeared after I've upgraded to IE10.
I couldn't find an appropriate solution in the links provided in this thread, and I hope that it will be a good solution soon.

  • by clicking on the apple logo, menus and check boxes do not work on the first click

Strange behavior from El Capitan OS X 10.11.1.

When I click on the Apple Logo, menus, and check boxes, the action does not stick.

To open the Apple Logo, the menu appears quickly but then folds upwards, as if I had not clicked.  Pretty well, click on the third, the menu opens.

In the Finder, when I click on a menu like file, edit, or display, the menu appears, and then restores upward. Again, after three clicks in opens.

In Safari, on a page Web, clicking on a checkbox does not stick. I need to click three times.  I when in Safari settings to clear the cache, I also checked the box to request the site "don't follow me." And even in the actual application of Safari, the box wouldn't fit.  I clicked it three times before the box stuck.

    El Capitan 10.11.1

I changed the mouse, and this has solved the problem.

    Hello

You can change the font of the user interface of the options below.

    • On Windows, choose Edition > Preferences > Interface > font size:
    • On Mac OS, choose Lightroom > Preferences > Interface > font size:

Change font size according to your need.

You must close out of Lightroom and restart for the change to take effect.

Let us know if this helps!

  • Foglight display size of the modal dialog box

    Hello

Dashboards drilled down, I can choose how to display the detailed view.  So I chose popup--> the modal dialog box.  Now when I click on a line, instead of leading me to another page, it will display a popup window and view detail info.  The popup window has a fixed size and I can't change it.  Is there a way to change or set a certain size?

Yes. You must change the settings from the view of exploration down, not the parent view. The settings are located under Configuration-> Options of Popup. You can play with the default size, size maximum and scroll bar to display the drilled down. It took me a while to figure this one out myself.

  • Why my font size of email and the word becomes her suddenly HUGE or teensy? How can I solve this problem?

I seem to slide my hands on something down on my laptop VAIO (R mouse button?), and these uncontrollable changes take place.  I don't see any way to fix... I've been everywhere the buttons and icons at the bottom.  Then, just as inexplicably, the font size refers to many normal (frustrating) uses later.

Using a conventional mouse, holding the key Ctrl and rotate the mouse wheel will. I think you've done the portable equivalent.

  • caviggia files and dialog boxes (the role of Qt, Flex, etc) post-ADM

After a few years of having to put my development efforts well enough hold him, I'm now back in the thick of it and work to get my CS3 (and so - CS5) plugins updated to CS6 and beyond. With the disappearance of the ADM, it seems to be quite a wild west as far as UI goes. First (if I remember), we were encouraged to use Flash, Flex, and now HTML5. What most developers using, especially smaller developers?

Make a palette (now called a sign?) seems simple enough using native Xcode and Visual Studio, although there is a lot of extra coding for each platform. I see that the swirl sample plugin uses a file of .zxp in addition to the file of Betty. A caviggia file does not contain enough information for these controls, although it is apparently enough for the EmptyPanel project? I am not happy to find plenty of platform-specific reminders, etc., but do not want to submit my clients to an awkward two-step setup with the Extensions Manager process, either. Nor do I really had the time to become competent in several new programming languages.

My plugins often use modal dialog boxes, but I can't find an example of how to apply them without an Interface separate editor. I already has many palettes/panels that you almost an extra monitor just for all, so I'd rather not have to go Park that route - but if I have to. Am I correct in guessing this is better done in Xcode (somehow) with a view with a window in Interface Builder? I'm sure that Visual Studio is not easy or intuitive.

Golly, developing a plugin would be so MUCH easier if it was somehow possible using XOJO, which is simpler that C++ and completely cross-platform, including a great WYSIWYG editor, or even better if ADM dialog/control have been revised to work with the new user interface.

I would greatly appreciate comments and recommendations for porting to CS6 and beyond, keeping in mind I'm an illustrator of trade and a self-taught programmer who writes plugins in my "spare" time

    TIA - Rick

I think that a lot of small developers simply abandoned, and which perhaps explains why this forum is so quiet now. Personally, I use Flex. When Adobe has HTML5, they said that they would have begun to remove flash products support Creative Cloud in the middle of 2014. There are also rumours that they would stop Extension Manager. I don't think they did either again.

The zxp file is an Extension Manager installer for the installation of the part of the user interface of the plugin, which is built from other files. Betty files are only used to set the entry point and name of plugin. All the stuff of the user interface are now in mxml flex for files and html html5 files, or native code, as in EmptyPanel.

You can include the zxp UI file in another zxp file that also contains the plugin by creating a hybrid extension, so that it looks like the user that they install only one thing.

The suite of AIUser has functions for the display of message boxes (* alert functions) and also has functions to display the file picker and color picker dialog boxes. There is also one to get a string of the user (GetInputFromUser), but if you need anything with more controls, you have to build your own dialog boxes. I would recommend this doing flex/HTML5 rather than as a native window to maintain the look and feel of the Illustrator.

Yes, Adobe could simply write a conversion layer to convert WMD in which that is the language of the INTERFACE now takes their fancy, but instead, they decided it would be best to plugin developers to rewrite their code whenever they decide to change the user interface.

  • Laptop of HP ENVY m6: busy cursor and dialog boxes flicker

Hi there, I downloaded Windows 8.1 10 last night but since then have had problems with the constantly busy cursor (sparkles the blue circle and turn off quickly), as well as with selected dialogs flicker. I checked with the Task Manager, but can't find anything that could potentially cause the problem. It is interesting on an attempt, the pitcher kept taskbar icon flashing in the taskbar. I have attatched a screenshot of a paused task manager as programs keep fast switching, it is therefore difficult to assess where the problem may come from. I rebooted several times and reinstalled AVG a couple of times I've heard that could potentially cause problems. I also tried to install a new graphics driver, but who worked for apparently without success. In addition, Windows repeats that she is perfectly up-to-date and solves no problem.

How can I solve this problem? I can't understand what my computer tries / load.

Why is blood so difficult to change the font size of the General the Mac OS?

Why strategies to change the font size are different for each different software?

Why our genius of Apple - him even gave us the screen 27 "hut - simply do not give us an option like" Please choose you font size overall comfortable?

    Carlos

The MacOS does not dynamically use the size of the fonts, they are static, which means that as long as the resolution of Mac screens have increased dramatically the system fonts appeared to shrink. When the retina displays were the first introduced Apple provided a second set of fonts static text both not be retractable the unreadable area but you can see (or not) results.

For system fonts such as the bar of menus and dialog boxes, you have only one recourse: set the resolution of the smaller screen. Depending on your Mac and your Visual tolerance, this may or may not improve things. (My MBP retina seems to be good at a lower resolution, but my MBA is not). For the programs, you can sometimes control the font sizes, but it varies from program to program.

. Once upon a time, Apple was supposed to work on a chart dynamically size OS, but years ago, and there seems to be nothing on the horizon. Unfortunately, Windows 10 done very nice to deal with this and doubly sadly, my eyesight gets worse with age I imagine the day when I can be forced to switch to Windows for this reason.
