Transfer will not work.  You must install it as you did initially.  Here is a link to download.  You will need your serial number to activate it.

Your license allows you to have two facilities enabled, so you can keep the original as a backup installation if you wish.  If not, then the minimum you need to do is disable the installation by opening the program and selecting Help-> Deactivate

    If AA 9 was part of CS, then you will get it by downloading CS, not directly in Acrobat. As we have stated, normally volume licenses are managed by the contact of the company that keeps track of the number of users and others, including the distribution of the software. In fact, many companies that work with the same volume license requires that all help requests go through this contact. The use of a contact to deal with these details makes it viable for a software company offer volume discount which is often considerable. The forums offer the opportunity to get aid, but not the software itself. Have you tried to contact your IT people about software?

    Acrobat 8 used to come with the CS3 version.

  • Installation of Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro existing on new computer - the 'check upgrades'

    I recently bought a new computer (Windows 8) as a replacement for my old computer (Windows XP).  I had bought and installed Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on the old computer in September 2009.  At that time, I had the serial number of the previous edition of Adobe Acrobat to load into the screen upgrade check during the installation of Acrobat 9.  I've just disabled the Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro for Windows XP machine and downloaded the machine to Windows 8 and the installation went well (always had the serial numbers for the Acrobat 9), until after the restart when screen 'upgrade Check"popped up.  I don't have any idea what was the serial number for the earlier version of Acrobat, I don't even remember what version of Acrobat, I had.  How can I continue to install my Acrobat 9 Pro?  I have used successfully for three years and more!

    If you have more information AA7, you will need to contact Adobe to determine the key of the software that you had before you allow installation. I hope that you had saved your previous product or at least the installation.

    I had to change hard drives and now need to reinstall all my programs application.  I was able to download Acrobat 9 Pro, but my licensed copy has now made within 30 days of the trial, and I don't know how to get a permanent license version.  When I call the software, I get a screen of the software configuration that gives me two options.  The first option, which is checked by default, is: "I have a serial number for this product." and a serial number is shown below.  It is the same serial number, I was issued when I bought Acrobat 9 Pro.

    So far so good.  Then I click Next, and here is where the trouble begins.  I get a window check the upgrade by the following text:

    To be eligible for this upgrade, you must already have no product qualifying.

    We have looked into the locations by default of qualification of the products installed on this computer, but none have been found.

    Enter the serial number for this product


    Acrobat 9 Pro is not listed in the drop-down list of product selection, so I'm not able to get rid of my status of the trial.


    Please help me.  I'm not trying to upgrade.  I'm just trying to download a copy of Acrobat 9 Pro replacement, that I already have a license for, on my new hard drive.

    The message you are trying to install a version upgrade of the software, which means when you bought it, you purcjhased as an upgrade to an earlier version.  You will need to provide evidence that you meet the eligibility criteria by specifying the earlier version and by submitting its serial number.  If you believe that you purchased the software in full version and not an upgrade, then you should contact Support Adobe directly by chat or phone to arrange things.
