  If you want the bitmap inside the title element, draw a shape on the title (e.g., rectangle) and tree properties change Graph of Type 'Logo' - that will awaken a small preview box you can click to load a bitmap.

  If you want the text and the background image to fade independently, you will need to put the image on another video track.

  Note that you can work with two screens and drag and drop the image to display on the other window.

  I think you mean working temporarily with the window enlarged image without displaying all the tools and panels.

  My advice: take the time to read the above help and especially to look at ways to maximize this window if you are on Mac or Win.

  Set your preferences in the Edit menu to "allow the floating windows in expert mode.

  Use the "tab" on the keyboard key to hide or show your panels and tools quickly.

Then you can press cmd/ctrl-J to put it on its own layer, and either move it or move it to a new file. Your best option would be to find the font and use the editable text. Save as a jpg destroyed the ability to edit the text, then save it as a PSD and then save for web to your jpg.
