  I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you should have to change your password to recover your gamertag. However, if you have forgotten your password, then that's a different story. Also you should be dealing with xbox live support instead of windows live because they are the one who can access your account. Try xboxlive.com then go support here.   I had a problem with my window 7 do not allow me to do live updates. Supprt Tech guided me through the steps necessary when requiring eventually get a difficult access remotely guided.   I bought Windows 7 Ultimate, because I need the virtual Windows XP to run a program that will not install in Windows 7. If I update to Windows 8 or 8.1, the virtual Windows XP always will be installed? If this isn't the case, I can't reinstall virtual Windows XP program with window 8 or 8.1?

  Windows XP Mode (which I believe refer you to-a virtual machine running a licensed copy of Windows XP offered by Microsoft for Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate users) does not work in Windows 8/8.1.  It is not included, nor does it work at all.

  If you have even an application that cannot be improved or modified or used in compatibility mode for a reason you must run under Windows XP (or other older operating systems) - then you need a copy under unused to this older operating system license and you can create your own machine using one of the many virtual (VirtualBox comes to mind) virtual machine management.

  Installation interrupted.

  During the clean install process, you delete the existing partition from the C: ultimate fake windows 7 and then follow the steps to do a clean install of Windows 7 you bought.
