For what display size is optimized Labview 2012?

Hello

I have a top of Tower with a high resolution (1920 x 1080). After that I installed Labview2012, on some of the dialogs, e.g. Tools-> Options (see image) not all text is shown completely.

Also, when I opened VI designed for a lower resolution display I overlap on the labels and controls.

Can someone tell me if this is due only to the display resolution, or also the Labview? And what display size optimized Labview2012?

Concerning

Hi, I found the problem. Text size DPI in my Windows display settings has been set to 120 DPI. After, I changed to 96 DPI, text and labels returned to their normal position.

  • Why LabVIEW 2012 does not support USB-6009?

    Hi all

I recently installed LabVIEW 2012 and DAQmx 9.6 (and also tried with latest version) in my PC with Windows 7. I have the version of Explorer 5.4 measure and automation. I'm working with hardware DAQ USB 6009. Everything seems compatible, but when I try to post data acquisition, it fails. However, I used to use this device (since I bought it last year) with the other PC that has the Windows XP operating system and the older version of LabVIEW 8.5.

What can I do with LabVIEW 2012 is a message "a 88302 error has occurred." and "This could be an internal error."

If someone has an idea to solve the problem, please let me know.

    devkotaj

    Hi devkotaj,

The USB-6009 device should work perfectly on Windows 7 with the software you have listed. This looks like a problem of configuraiton of material for me.

What are you trying to do when you receive the error 88302? This error usually indicates a corrupt DAQmx driver, which may result from the installation of several DAQmx versions on the same machine. Have you tried repairing your installation DAQmx? I could uninstall DAQmx from the Control Panel before installing the latest driver. You can see our procedure to reinstall or uninstall recommenedd here.

    I hope this helps!

  • the font for Normal text size

I'm working on an HTML Help system that uses a standard theme template and style sheet. I use a style called 'Normal' for most of the text. The police is currently being Verdana, Regular, size Small, which is very nice for my old eyes. However, I notice that it is so great that the fonts used in other online help systems (for example, online help for RH6). I tried to move to the X-small size, but it is much too small. After a little experimentation, Verdana 11 points looks all right, at least on my screen. My question is this: what is the difference between the system of small-medium-large to measure fonts and the fonts measurement points system? Font sizes appear differently on different monitors of size and resolution? And is there a rule for what font size is the most readable? (I'm familiar with it for printing, not so much for online.)

Thank you, Ben. I went on the website of W3C and got some good information. Sounds like it is preferable to use the xs, sm, m, l, xl font sizes, because users can automatically adjust these by selecting their "privileged" font size (in IE, select the size in the menu of the Page). Font style in pts not resize when the user changes its settings.

I'm still not convinced that I have the right answer, though. There are so many variables to consider (size screen, resolution, type of browser, the browser settings) compared to the good old print WYSIWYG...

Using LabVIEW 2012 SP1 at a customer.  Whenever I create a Boolean control or indicator by right-clicking and selecting 'create', the annoying option button appears...  Yes... one in the picture below.  All I want is one of the lights (round or rectangular).

I know it takes a ridiculous affecting somewhere.  To save time, but especially of frustration, where hell can I change this setting?  I already looked at the Option settings but don't see anything.

    That's what I get:

This is the system default boolean for a reason any crazy.  I learned to curse under my breath and find the prices for the use of system controls.

Edit: change the style by default to say, modern or classic and it won't happen.  Unless you use the classes so what control you get when you create controls/indicators is a boring montage.

  • Error Code HDL with CRio RFP generation after update for LabView 2012

    Hello everyone,

I use a CRio DP Comsoft master/slave module for my communication with a PLC system. The application worked perfectly under LabView 2011. After the update to LabView2012, I got an error message that the HDL Code generation failed. After that I've updated also the Software NI Profibus CRio in Version 1.3, but this n ' t´t solve the problem. The next step was to use the example of project code "CS_cRIO-PB_DP-MasterExample" which was delivered with the new NI CRio Profibus software. Even with this code example, the problem still exists. For detailed information on the configuration and the error message please refer to the screenshot. Any help or idea would be appreciated.

    Hi Jürgen,

I looked inside and could reproduce this error. Somehow the compiler with LV 2012 has problems with the coded 8.5.1 Subvi LV. Please use the attached VI and copy it to the following location. (\\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2012\vi.lib\addons\Comsoft.lib\cRIO PB)

Before do you it please close your LabVIEW.

    Then try to compile again.

Let me know if it still does not. We are currently working on a new installer that will correct this problem.

  • Internet Toolkit for LabVIEW 2012 64-bit

I have an application which is currently written in LabVIEW 2009. It requires the Internet. I try to open it in 2012 of LabVIEW (64-bit) (using Windows 7 64-bit). LabVIEW 2012 does not find the box at Internet tools since he has been deprecated in LabVIEW 2012, so LabVIEW complains.

So I downloaded the toolkit LabVIEW 2012 Internet and tried to install it. When the Setup program tries to run, it stops with an error message that says:

"NEITHER LabVIEW 2012 (32-bit) or more must be installed before installing OR.
    2012 Internet Toolkit LabVIEW. »

Can someone tell me where I can find the Internet Toolkit for LabVIEW 2012
    (64 bit)?

    Thank you

    -Ray

Since you seem to understand that the Internet Toolkit has been deprecated, I do not understand your question. There is no 64-bit version of the tool. In fact, it has very few tools that do not have a 64-bit version. In order to use the old, 32-bit version, you must use it with the version 32-bit LabVIEW, as said the message.

  • What display on MacbookPro (Retina) profile is suitable for work in Photoshop?

Hi, I work on Photoshop for years (about a self-taught) but only recently learned about "color management" etc. (shame on me!)

I am currently editing illustrations with watercolor scanned into Photoshop CC, the retina MacbookPro.

After reading numerous amounts of articles on the Photoshop color settings/management/profiles, there is always something I'm not sure with: display profile

For the moment, the display profile is set to its default value; LCD display.

I would like to work in photoshop with sRGB Spaces(but eventually convert it to CMYK in InDesign) work.

Or do nothing of this case because I work only on my laptop and use no display external or calibration...

I would really appreciate the help!

    Thank you

    Haruna

The profile there factory (display or color LCD) value is a good default value.

This factory profile is generic, so the best profile is that you do with a separate device that measures your specific display and generates a custom profile for your screen. If you don't have one of those, stick with the default profile this set of Apple.

This profile is intended to say OS X how your screen reproduced color, so choose either display profiles such as Adobe RGB or sRGB in the system displays preferences. You should only choose a profile that appears after selecting "show profiles for this display only". If you want to work in sRGB, choose sRGB as RGB working space in Photoshop color settings. When you save a Photoshop file (with save under), be sure to only incorporate the color profile is selected. In this way, when you have InDesign convert RGB to CMYK images, he'll know what kind of RGB is the conversion of.

  • Load a file EDS into LabView 2012

Through research I found that DeviceNet Configurator is no longer available. I'm under LabView 2012 with IndComm/Devicenet 2.2 pilot. What replaces the DeviceNet Configurator? How to load the EDS files?

    Thank you

    Tennessee Paul

My post here on a different topic, I thought that I would wear it to conclude this thread.

Load an EDS file to the slave device

    1. Right-click on the slave device

    2. Select "Sheet"... »

    3. Click on add files...

    4. Navigate to the location of the EDS file.

    5. Select the file.

    6. Click OK.

    7. In the left pane, expand the data sheet newly added up to reach the node displays the version.

    8. Select the version.

    9. Click OK.

Check the device and file EDS

    1. Right-click on the slave device

      1. Select utilities

      2. Select the Panel of Test online

    2. Select the option 'Device status' in the field of category on the left.

    3. On the right, select the slave device, you want to check.

    4. Click on "check the device".

    5. Read the errors/warnings or lack thereof.

    Edit the file EDS

To change the EDS file, I used EZ-EDS , which is a specific devicenet EDS of ODVA freeware Editor.

I did my corrections and saved my file EDS. (After having saved my original, of course).

Remove the installed Labview EDS file

    1. Navigate to the following location: C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\NI-IndComm for DeviceNet\Datasheet

    2. Remove the sheet (Note: there is more that one datasheet added manually.) Additional EDS files come with the IndComm driver. Find the EDS file for the specific device that you want to replace and delete).
