  To be honest, I can't understand why webcam device disappears from the Device Manager list after Skype update.
  I mean even if there is a software problem (compatibility issues), the webcam must be listed in the device as an unknown device manager.

  The other day I've updated to Skype.

  After that, I noticed that no one was online. Then I noticed that I was not online because there like two arrows making a movement and I think that it means that trying to connect and it may not. I can connect to Skype, but simply it is not connected to the server, I don't know.

  I uninstalled Skype to try an older version. And I noticed that the installation program could not connect to the server aswell and I had to download the full installer of Skype. Is the problem on the servers of Skype or is it my computer? It is strange that it was after the update. I tried to go to my girlfriend's laptop and my account works (it has not yet updated).

  You're just one of the unlucky users with a computer running on a motherboard with a BIOS that has not properly interpreted by version 7.0 of Skype.

  This bug was already fixed in the version 7.1 later, so if you update your Skype to the currently latest version 7.3, Skype should no longer crash.

• Windows 7 stuck on the blue screen when I try to update of Skype.

  I have the HP - Pavilion g7 Notebook and have not had any problems until I was getting a blue screen of death after that update of Skype, but I have on my computer. I had to do a system recovery several times until I discovered that it's a problem apparently caused by Skype, now Skype wants to update again and windows7 doesn't like it at all, the machine crashes again. Last resort, I downloaded an old verson of Skype that works very well, but long term does not solve the problem.  If there is a fix what's not got any suggestions for Skype, for that to be resolved. The only thing I hear it might be related to a driver that has not been updated.  What can I do?

  Hi again. I finally found this solution only took me 3 days. All because the left hand is not the right hand. You must ensure that you have install the driver of camera from microsoft: 6.1.7601.18208

  I found this by installing a driver from windows update when you access the properties of the camera. Hope this helps everyone. So far, I've found many users with the same problem, but do not see a single post with a solution that works. Good luck to all.

  Why are we forced to use Skype when its especially for video chat. I like windows Messenger I send out there and if I have choice to the video chat I can do. its easy to use has some great tools. If someone wants to then let them use it Skype but for myself and I have read many others want to keep messenger for its ease of use. but we are forced to use something which to me don't want to and I'll have my freedom of choice away. Please let alone Messenger and if someone wants to Skype then let them use Skype but give us a choice.

  I have 8 licenses of Creative cloud 8 officials, and each person uses a different set of apps. I am the systems administrator and am looking for a way to force updates on those computers for two reasons: 1. it does not prevent someone at - he of the updates available (whether for the Office CC, or any apps installed adobe application), and I can't rely on my staff to go and check on a regular basis; and 2. updates appear to be large enough, it would be nice to be able to download it and send updates on multiple computers for install. I would like to be able to force updates to the CC itself, desktop application as well as all the apps that each computer/user has installed. If there is no way to download once and get out, it would still be nice to be able to send a command over the network so that each computer look for the updates of their respective applications and install them without tapping of the user. Is there a way to do this?

  Now that I had to get out the old version of Skype to this new crap. I am no longer able to make what was the purpose of the Skypes for... VIDEO CALLS! Whenever I try to start a video call my Skype immediately crashes and closes. However, in versions previous it was never a problem. So why should it be a problem now? I use Windows 7 Ultimate, was using the same machine for the past 3 years without any problems with the webcam until this new update. So where is the improvement? of course, that is not stated here then why force us to receive this update from distastful? Please enlighten me?

  Hello, my Skype has recently been updated (21/05/2016). Like when I've always updated, I am as big which new bugs are there with this update. Of course, I didn't have to look very far. My Skype updated as normal prompted me to start my computer (I did), then when I launched Skype after restarting my Skype looked like, I entered the matrix (Broken Layout). The appearance of the buttons to be fair in the correct places looks like the background is COMPLETELY wack. It would be nice if I could get off my Skype BEFORE the update (its so nice how they have a function to see what they have added or to see if it has been tested BEFORE release). The following images are what looks like my Skype (I use Windows 10 (latest version of Skype from 5/21))

  I've been using Skype for years now with a webcam, a microphone and speakers. Sometimes during calls the other person would hear themselves (it is to be expected that the mic picks up the sound input of the speakers), but it was still deleted by the echo cancellation feature.
